I have used APlus Leak Det (APlus) for several years and will continue. I unfortunately used other companies and spent thousands of dollars before finally finding APlus. I have a pool built in 1989 with huge oak trees backing the property. These tree roots are damaging my pool plumbing. Thanks to Brandon, he has doggedly repaired these leaks and damage. I have a 12 year old pool with a water fall and spa. I engaged Sandstone Pool Service to replace the plaster and identify leaks. They brought in Andy with A Plus Leak Detection. I was leery at first because I read a few of the negative reviews. Andy stopped by and we had a very frank discussion. He seemed very competent and a great guy. We decided to move forward and glad we did. Andy's team did the leak detection for a great price. It identified leaks at the waterfall and the spa. He gave me a price to fix the leaks which I thought was very reasonable. If you look at the picture of the waterfall, you'll see the slightly different color of stone. A Plus took no chances on the leaks. They replaced ALL of the stone and mortar. Much better than I was expecting. They were out for 3-4 days on the stonework alone. They even came back a few times to trim some edges and make sure no leaks were occurring. Andy himself was personally involved all along. He was very responsive to questions, did a lot of the work himself, and even had the team redo some things that he wanted done even better. During all of this, Andy came down with COVID. He called while in bed to make sure everything was going as planned. He was up and about within a week and the project never missed a beat. Andy, the owner, was very responsive, and knowledgeable, gave me an eatimate for total job, even with only few pictures and description of problem that I rovided. They found the problem with my pool, a leak from a cracked PVC return line,quickly. Steve and his helper, Coby, worked very hard, methodically, and spent a lot of efforts & time to repair it, as additional issue was found when they tried to access the leak. They also spent time explaning what they were doing and patiently answering my questions concerning the repair. They did a superb job patching the concrete deck, and cleaned up well afterward. Paid him to fix leak in pool. Came out, did the work. Said there was two year warranty. This was last fall, September 2019. A few weeks later, called him and said water was still leaking. He came out. Said the fixtures and plumbing were bad. Pay more money and leak will be rectified. Paid him for more work. A month later pool still leaking. Covid came. Had to fill pool once every four days (winter). He came out in April. Told me to pay another $1000. My answer... you can guess. I'm not that stupid to fall for it three times. Now I'm having to fill the pool every day. Will be finding someone else. I have been nothing but patient with this guy. Very very very disappointed. In 48 years of life, have never written a review. Buyer Beware! I hired Andy to do a plaster job on our pool using QuartzScapes - Midnight Blue. Andy presented himself as an experienced pool professional with knowledge of colored plasters. His crew showed up on time, and did the job, but we immediately had issues. There were streaks, splotches, and even footprints in the plaster. They came back out and drained the pool 2 additional times to acid wash, and pressure wash the plaster (this costs money in water and chemicals each time that I didn't get reimbursed for). The excuse was our water was bad. I talked to some other pool professionals, and showed them pictures. Their response was that can't be fixed, it wasn't mixed correctly. I tried to work with Andy over the last 4 months, and at one point proposed to just give me a partial refund and we would go our separate ways. His response to me was that he was "I'm so broke right now - it's hard to process this request. I'll sit down and figure out something." So I disputed part of the job, which he is fighting. I held off on writing a review while I was trying to work this out; but since Andy decided to not accept my fair offer, I think other prospects should be aware of the issues, so they can make an educated decision. The whole point of color plaster is the aesthetics, that's why you pay extra. To avoid any disputed reply, I added pictures of my pool while being filled, and at night when you turn the light on. You can clearly see white streaks from the skimmer all the way to the return. This is AFTER the last attempt to fix. On a side note, he did repair a leak in one of my side returns. My experience is that he knows how to repair leaks, but doesn't have the proper experience to do plaster jobs. read more

Very good company and very knowledgeable team in the field. Andy was very responsive to my phone call. I received a followup from Vicky later that day to schedule my pool leak repair appointment. I was pleasantly surprised when she called me back the next day and told me their team finished a job early and were in the area near my house and could come over to do the job that day. In less than 2 hours, Steve and his partner found 3 potential leaks and sealed them (1 skimmer and 2 underwater lights). I was losing a 1/2 inch of water a day, filling my pool every 4the day. Want to express my concerns about a scam artist which cost us $3000. Do not ever take Andy Mc Coy from A+ leak detection. Do not get mislead by the divorced family pictures on his website, he is a real crook. My pool was never fixed and my leak is still leaking. This is the website: http://aplusleakdetection.net/. He is a scam artist, He needed the money up front because he needs to buy the materials, (my bad) and then the next day he just left. My concrete was broken up, my light disassembled. He just took his tools and left, saying he could not fix the light the pool is too old. When I stood in the door wanting him to finish the job, he even told me I threatened him. So many lies this guy, btw the light was fixed in 10 minutes. Anyway, he will not be able to leave you behind with a smile. I am still feeling bad because of what he did. read more

Andy had a tough time finding our problem and it ended up being near a palm that had large roots. He and his crew worked very hard in the heat to ascertain the issue. He is about a kind a person as we've met. I highly recommend him. He was punctual and thorough, and most importantly, honest.
