This service technician arrived with all proper equipment and the approach used was very similar except for the level of knowledge to other leak detection companies used in the past. The source of the leak was identified within an hour of equipment setup. The price quoted for leak detection services was honored without any upcharge. He and his boss are ex employes of ABC Leak Detection which has been used for previous leaks which was not a very good experience. ABC had to come out a minimum of Two times to find the "actual" location of the leak. Hopefully when the JC's Leak Detection personnel come to fix the leak all will be as expected. It's never a good thing when you realize you have a leak in your pool. We started losing water rapidly so I shut everything down and went to the google to find leak detection near The Woodlands, TX. JC is in Spring, TX but that's close enough. JC showed up on time and was very professional. For $300 he spent a few hours with air tanks, goggles, and various other equipment looking for our leaks. He found that out skimmer basket reservoirs were both leaking and we had a ruptured pipe under our decking. Uuugh. They are busy this time of year so it was over a week before his crew could get out. Again, they showed up on time and were very professional. I was picturing them busting up a huge section of our decking and was pleasantly surprised that they only need to jack hammer a 8-9 inch diameter hole. They even repaired a piece of our stone that had broken off in a separate incident free of charge. Good guys. Use them. Total repairs were about $1200 and all is well. Our pool had leaked since we bought house. Our "pool service" company tried multiple methods to find our leak, used fix a flat type method. Spent a lot of tIme and money, no luck. Then tried to get a real " leak detection" company. No luck, got to the point they wouldnt answer phone, texts or emails. We decided to live with the leak, spending a lot of money in water bills. Started to leak more so decided to try again. Messaged multiple companies some gave quotes for leak detection, some were honest, one gave recommendation for other company. Left message for JC's Leak Detection was messaged right away, called and setup appointment for Monday afternoon. He called before he left previous job and told me when he would be at my house. Showed up on tIme. He walked my pool looking at possible issues, looked at skimmers and found cracks in housings. He then brought out his air compressor, used plug and pressure tested skimmer. Found one leak, looked at other skimmer and found possible issue, didn't think it was leaking, but was possible area of concern. Got out his water proof putty and seals 3-4" crack around skimmer, added putty to possible area in other skimmer. Said it could do the job. Only charged me for service charge. He did bring along another technician who was mapping out pool and locations of each return jet along with skimmer and pool cleaner piping. Said that if it still leaked he had additional options he could try. Along with a full fledged "leak detection". If that was the case he would credit the service charge to cost of detection. I was losing water in my pool. They came out and spent several hours thoroughly checking for leaks. They found the leak in the wall and wrote up a detailed description and sketch. I hired them to do the repair and they did an excellent job. It was first thought that they would have to tear out a small portion in the side of the pool but they said they would do their best to get to it without doing that. They were successful and I was able cancel the pebble tec people scheduled for the next day. Both appointments they arrived on time and were very courteous and professional.
