If I could give zero stars I would! CK Pools damaged my pool heater equipment by improper balancing and causing corrosion inside and then acknowledged fault, and then completely failed to make it right. Despite already accepting responsibility, they refused to refund or properly replace the heater they damaged. After weeks of back-and-forth, delays, and excuses, they finally offered to replace it -- but with a cheaper, off-brand heater, not the brand and quality of the original equipment they broke. To make matters worse, their chemical mismanagement caused extremely high alkalinity, which resulted in guests' hair turning green -- a clear sign of improper water balance and potentially damaging to skin and hair. This is especially alarming for anyone who hosts guests or values safety. The lack of accountability, professionalism, and urgency throughout this process has been exhausting and IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. This happend in August! If you value your equipment, your guests, or your peace of mind: RUN. I would never trust CK Pools again and strongly caution anyone considering their services. read more

Unfortunately, I can't recommend CK pools. They did not come service the pool when they said they would be there. They came one week later... Only to come unprepared with no chemicals and a broken vacuum. They used my chlorine and then wanted to charge me for an additional cleaning service. When I did approve the additional cleaning charge - I asked for an extra week of service since the guy came out and did nothing the first time - they canceled my service altogether and said they would no longer continue service. Super disappointed, since I use them all last season and really liked the guys that came out to the house to do the services. *this is not to mention, that I also got an email stating a free month of service no contract, no commitment - which they also would not honor. After confirming the information, I didn't hear anything until our housesitter sent photos of our pool which had turned green. When I asked about when they were coming to service the pool and mentioned the status (this was almost 10 days after initially contacting them) they told me it would be $400 instead of the $75/cleaning initially agreed upon. Bought this house 2 years ago.. and "thought" I could care for the pool myself.. lesson learned. I have literally saved money with the professional service I get from CK Pools. After shutting down and opening the drain plugs on the pumps and heater during this past freeze, I could not get the pool running again. CK Pools came out right when they said they would. The technician ran quick diagnostics and quickly pinpointed a possible solution. It worked and the pool was functioning again. What I liked most about his work was that he answered my questions and explained the "why" on the steps he had taken and showed me the process he had taken. Great work! read more

Stopped coming to service our pool but kept sending us bills. Charged us more to fix pool after it got completely disgusting, they never fixed the pool- it wasn't blue or safe to swim in. The water had a level of chlorine in it that was too high for anyone to swim in, and they never got rid of the algae problem. After spending nearly 1200 dollars our pool is still unusable. They also replaced filters that didn't need to be replaced. It was a mess. I am now working with Dsh Pools and they have been very attentive and even send photos of their cleanings and a digital receipt with proof of work. Sean from CK pools told us his staff would leave door hanger receipts but they only did that a handful of times, after that- it was pretty random. I am sad that we wasted so much money with them and our pool never got back to blue. I am now having to pay for another company to fix the problems CK Pools could not seem to resolve. At least I can trust the new company to do their jobs. I don't recommend this company, they sucked every penny out of me until I just got sick of it. They overcharged me for monthly service and it appears that they also charged me for services they weren't even completing. The weirdest part is when I told Sean I didn't want to work with him anymore, he wouldn't accept my request to cancel service and tried to get me to stay. We recently had our pool renovated by CK Pools and would recommend them for your pool needs if you are looking! Initially when the project started, we had project manager issues where the project manager was not responding to us. Over time, we learned that this project manager was no longer with CK Pools due to his lack of involvement. Sean, the owner, stepped in and became our project manager moving forward. Once involved, we notified Sean of some issues we were still facing with the pool due to not having a project manger during the beginning phases on construction. We created a punch list, Sean met us at the pool, and we walked through all of the items needed for the success of the project. At this time we set timelines for completion and an order of operations. During the project, we faced a lot of timing and materials issues due to subcontractors availability. We alerted Sean about these issues and he made sure that they were resolved. While there was conflict between Sean and ourselves (as there will be with any home renovation projects), we overcame these issues professionally by understanding each others perspectives. Sean completed the project and made sure that we were happy with our final product. He even sent over a touch up crew to address issues we faced after renovation was completed. Sean waited 90 days to collect on final payment because he wanted to ensure that we were satisfied with the final product and there was nothing further that needed to be done. I want to end this review by stating that overall, I consider this a very successful project. Sean has shown that he is a professional with many years of experience in the pool industry. I needed help with a pool issue, and Josh with CK Pools was at my home within an hour. Josh was not only prompt, but he was also extremely knowledgeable and professional. Terrible weekly services added chlorine to our saltwater pool and ignored concerns of black algae growing for months. Each week they came to service the pool and sent an invoice that stated they "scrubbed, added chemicals, etc" when they never did! I emailed and called to follow up multiple times and was met with niceties but never saw a change. Our pool is now filled with black algae and they are asking for full payment of services NOT RENDERED and threatening to take us to collections. STAY AWAY! This company serviced my pool for months. Every week the tech came out the pool was not treated. Algae! My pool was not scrubbed, chemically treated, and my equipment was stomped on. It was constant baby sitting, reporting the failures and NOTHING WAS DONE! I called to talk to the manager , they came out and indeed saw the neglect. Told me they would come out to remove the calcification that miraculously appeared when they started servicing my pool. I was told by M**t that they would b out the following week to remove it and he has since then fallen silent. I have called , emailed , texted requesting . To call me back, but nothing. Instead when I continuously pushed and asked to do the right thing and actually remove the calcification, they sent me an email stating they will no longer service my Pool. I guess if you are a customer that is looking to pay for a service that you will NOT get, use this company. They will certainly not disappoint. I had a bag stuck in my line and the line is around 320 ft. I had another pool company come out and tell me that it was not great prognosis on getting the bag out. I wrote to Sean about it on yelp and he promptly responded confidently that he could get it out. He quickly booked me the next day. It took him 1 min and the bag was out. After going through quite a few service techs with this company we finally have one who we can recommend. Brandon is fantastic! He lets us know if he can't make it on our scheduled day and follows directions well. Sometimes we want the chemicals left in a bucket for us to add ourselves. That way we don't have to wait to use the pool. We can swim and add them afterwards. We have used this company for 3 months. In that time, I have been paying for my pool to be cleaned, which still has algae all over the sides. Also, we hired them to fix a problem with our pool not priming. They simply twisted some piping, added tons of blue glue, and burnt the pump. I was handed over to CK pools when the pandemic started because Pool Knights stopped servicing my area. They were good and reliable until this last month. Sean Nankini the owner switched my pool tech with one of the worst I have ever dealt with in over 9 years of pool ownership. The new tech skipped a day of service because he could not locate the gate key that Sean should have informed him of. I asked Sean to refund the week and he never did. The next week the same tech did service. The week after, mid clean the same tech stopped because of the weather. He then calls me outside and tells me he lost my gate keys. When I talk to Sean, he tells me to relax "its just a key". In addition, this same tech is one a few who parked in my driveway blocking in and out access. The following week I fire the company. Sean tells me he would refund me and told me he told his secretary to do so. Now he is ghosting my calls. Shady. Never trust a D rated BBB non accredited business. Stay far away Reply to CK pools response Two weeks of no service and terrible customer care. I have never had a business owner yell at me. If you call giving you two options either 1. to do things the right way 2. have your business poorly reviewed. That's a far stretch calling that blackmail Again, what company would not at the minimum refund the two weeks of non service. And looking at how you defend yourself against poor customer care on the other review just shows what kind of garbage company you are running. I wasted your techs 45 minutes? Wow, you are something fresh. Most businesses would respond and say, we will do better but not CK pool. And then to Sean, "never give in to bullies" means taking their money for services not rendered. WOW. I am the definition of a Bully? Does the dictionary define bully in that way. Extremely disappointed. Will not recommend. Have employed this co. for a few years and worked through a few issues with Sean, but today the wife has had enough for real. We've asked REPEATEDLY to be notified in advance when a tech is coming over to clean the filter because we want the fins cleaned on our driveway, NOT in our yard. But NO. He came right on in without even ringing the doorbell to let us know he was here. If she'd actually been IN the pool when he showed up there really would have been hell to pay. She doesn't like strangers walking in on her unexpectedly when she's in the pool. We thought we had an intruder when we noticed on the cameras that the back gate was open. He had already started doing exactly what we DID NOT want him to do: he was spraying off the filter blades with the hose in our yard instead of on the driveway so now we have a huge mud pit/mosquito ranch with standing water. I don't know what the problem with this company is, but I damn sure know how to fix it on my end. Because when the wife ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy. read more

Please avoid using this pool service. They started out fine, but ended up with poor services, not showing up on their scheduled times. Then the owner has the audacity to call and complain to the customer, while everything was caught on the camera. He goes to claim the gate was locked, but yet it was opened the whole time. His pool guy never called or ring the door bell. This was all on the camera, yet he continued to lie and defend his guy, who later called to say he was wrong. The owner never apologized and go into a rage using profanity and racist comments. This type of unprofessionalism needs to stop. Stop supporting racist, bigoted businessman who does not how to cater to their customers. This was completely their fault, and he tried to turn it on the customer. Irresponsible. Unprofessional. To be fair, they didn't actually come out. After a quick phone call (and follow up), it turns out my problem was easy to fix myself with a little bit of guidance. They could have easily come out and charged me for a service call to perform a 5 minute fix. This level of honesty and integrity speaks a lot for the business and I would certainly use them in the future. read more

As a new customer the pool technician showed up same day to diagnose our pool pump that wouldn't operate. We failed to check the breaker box and thankfully our pump was running after re-setting the pool pump breaker. Let me preface this by saying this is the first review I've left any company. The previous company we used was bought out by CK Pools, but we kept our same tech. The tech would miss a week here and there and I would bring it up to the tech who assured me he'd make it up. I can deal with missing a week here and there, but my problem is with the owner's attitude. After repeated issues, I decided to call and cancel my service, stating that the tech hasn't shown up the previous 2 weeks and that I wanted to terminate the service at that time. Later that evening, Sean (the owner), sends me an email with just 2 screenshots saying it was proof that the tech was there, nothing else was said in that email. I was honestly expecting him to be cordial and ask what the issue was, but it was just those 2 screenshots and him saying it was proof. I replied saying for him to go back and check in March so he can see the times he wasn't there so that he could verify. He immediately responded with an attitude acting like I was trying to get out of paying for any service. I politely responded asking him to call me so we can discuss the issue, which he didn't. He likes leaving "Be a man" and "take responsibility" replies to everyone's 1-star reviews but he couldn't "Be a man and take responsibility" to call me back and discuss this in a civil manner. After reaching out again, because I got a filter-change estimate, I asked the secretary if Sean would call me back, which he finally did. In that phone call, I couldn't believe how much of a child he was acting like and wouldn't let me hardly get a sentence in before yelling through the phone. It's astonishing to me that anyone would do business like this. I can't wait to see what his reply is to this review, but he acts like a good guy online until you cancel your service. I would advise anyone to find literally any other pool service in your area before you choose this joke of a company. Hopefully this 1-star review will help adjust his childish and completely immature attitude. His reply to this review will seem like he's nice, but wait until there's a discrepancy, you'll see how he really is. read more
