** In response to Chris at A-Plus, this is a public forum where the general public can share their experiences. I am allowed to post my experience with your company. It seems you try to bully and have every review not in your favor deleted as not to resolve any issues but to try to cover up your lack of follow though and credentials. I do not care if you have have reported this I also will contact Yelp and every other social media outlet including the BBB and the licensing board for engineering to file an official complaint on how we were miss led and ripped off by your inflated pricing and claims to be so thorough. You inspected our two story home with binoculars. Need we say more. We hired A-Plus, more specifically, Chris. We communicated that we would need someone who is an engineer ( which another engineer who came out informed us he is not ) to do a thorough inspection of our 12 mo old, new build that had bathroom tile cracking vertically and horizontally floor to ceiling wall to wall in all bathrooms. We needed our foundation checked also we communicated the need to hire someone who could be an advocate for us when speaking to our builder. He agreed talked a ton about himself and how thorough his inspections are and that he could absolutely help. He took about 2 hours charged us 800, did not put the bathrooms on the report, and let us know he inspected our 2 story roof with binoculars. This is our 3rd home purchase and 4th time using a home inspector, We are beyond disappointed with A-plus inspection we were told anything we wanted to hear with zero follow through. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from being ripped off by a company who is all talk. We have now been involved with other engineers and inspectors who are helping us navigate the serious issues surrounding the horrendous work done by the builder causing major issues with our home. Thankfully we found a stand up inspector and real Engineer to assist us in getting the help we so desperately needed. If A-plus reads this I want a refund my 800 that I paid for an inspection that was not even close to a thorough inspection. Had zero follow thorough and to date the most inefficient (especially to claim you were checking the foundation as a engineer) we have ever had. Our new actual engineer we hired was shocked that there were major items not documented or inspected. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Chris was wonderful to work with. He arrived when he said he would with all the cool tools of the trade, plus some! He was conscientious of working around us as we were both home during the inspection, took his time with any questions we had, and delivered a thorough product. He has been super quick to respond to any follow-up questions. Admittedly you can get this inspection done cheaper, but it won't be as thorough (he spent over 6 hours with us) and it won't come with the ongoing support Chris offers. I was very impressed with how thorough, detail-oriented, professional, and knowledgeable Chris was. He went above and beyond, taking great care to conduct an extremely thorough inspection, utilizing technology such as a thermal imaging camera and other devices to make a proper assessment. I high recommend without reservation Mr. Chitsey's Services. I used Mr. Chitsey's service for my second home purchase. He is thorough, professional, knowledgeable, prompt and highly skilled in his area of expertise. The difference between the home inspection he did for my second home vs the home inspection done for my first house by another inspector is substantially more in depth in scope and in detail. He will walk on top of the roof to inspect it as a part of his inspection, and perform thermal imaging. Also, his feedback on items not passing notates specific code violations references. I received a 54 page report from him the same day. He also can consult on potential foundation problems. The builder added a piece of slab to the main foundation to support brick veneer columns. He reviewed and provided feedback on their design and implementation. The cost for his services is worth it and I will utilize his services to re inspect my home before the 1 year warranty is up. In hind sight, I wish I would have used his services throughout the construction process instead of waiting toward the end. read more

We originally used Chris in 2009 and were very impressed with his work! We were, however, first time home buyers and found Chris by way of our Realtor. This time around we chose someone else for the first home we were considering. He did a fine job, no major complaints. But when it came time to inspect a second home, we felt there was something missing and decided to look back at Chris's old report...check his webpage, etc. and decided to go with him again. Chris is the only Board-Certified Master Inspector & Consulting Graduate Civil Engineer in the state of Texas. He performs one inspection per day, spending approximately 7 hours on one home and offers complimentary lifetime consulting. You can trust that he will be incredibly thorough and accurate. He will also provide proper guidance and reassurance when it comes to the issues with your future home, which all homes have. Finally, consider this...in a very short time frame we used another fairly esteemed inspector, and then we used Chris/A-PLUS and the difference was immense. While A-PLUS does cost a bit more than your average inspector, he is worth every penny! read more

I removed my previous negative review because this business contacted a lawyer to track down my personal, private information, call me at work and try to intimidate me to remove my review instead of simply contacting me through Yelp, or responding to the review to tell their side of the story or even contacting Yelp directly to report a review they thought was wrong. Since I am a working family man who can't afford to hire expensive lawyers to protect my right to free speech, I removed my honest, critical review of this business. My privacy was violated and I was harassed at while at work for simply telling my experience in a negative business review. To me that in itself says all that needs to be said about this business. I personally would never choose to hire someone who conducts their business in this manner and who cannot handle when someone has issues with their work or (lack of) professionalism. read more
