We were also without hot water in the kitchen until the pipe was replaced. Ken Cook fit us in and the repair was complete 24 hours after out install. The plumber was very professional, on time, knowledgeable, and replaced a couple pieces getting the plumbing mess under the sink organized and easier to maintain with shutoffs for the different feed lines to the refrigerator and water filter. IT'S NICE! He was also Covid-19 responsible which is appreciated. Highly recommended and their efforts fitting us in were greatly appreciated.

First visit: our 100+ year old home has been dishwasherless since we moved in 13 years ago (mo one made the move to install one before us and we kept putting it off until this year). Years ago we had had some drains and lines replaced and asked the previous plumbers we hired for that job to get it ready for dishwasher, too. So we always thought it was ready to go once we picked one out. Came to find, day of delivery, that they did NOT do this, so we had to call someone to come do it. Enter Dynamic Drains. We were able to secure an appointment quickly and when they arrived they were friendly and professional, installing a beautiful new water line to feed our new, dormant dishwasher the freshwater it craved. The dishwasher needed a bit of finessing into the space we had carved out so they didn't hook that part up, but the line looked and worked great. Eventually we had a handyman come and do the rest and it's been working beautifully since. SECOND VISIT: The soup incident. Some leftover soup was dumped into the sink and caused a clog. Enter Dynamic Drains, just a few weeks later, with a snake to clean it out. The technician then (Chris I believe was his name) was really friendly, kind, and diligent. He ran several sinkfuls of water through the snaked drain to make sure it was going as it should and it went downstairs to make sure there were no leaks or drips. After the drain was moving again we also realized that our disposal was dead. Not sure if that's why the soup clogged or if the clog killed it but either way... VISIT THREE: Tech couldn't fix the disposal since we didn't have a replacement and he didn't quite have time in his schedule to get us in in that moment. All good, didn't expect that! Amazingly right after he left my husband saw a great disposal on sale at Costco and he snatched it up. Called Dynamic Drains to schedule a follow up and they said they could come a few days later. Great! THEN, about an hour later, another plumber called and said they had some time in their schedule and could come by then. I was out at the time but my husband navigated that with them and by the time I got home we had a new, purring garbage disposal properly installed. And since it was considered same day they waived the additional appointment fees. YES! We still have a few other things we need done, new faucets in the kitchen and bathroom in particular, and luckily Dynamic Drains does that (and then some!) too. We'll definitely be calling them for that follow up as soon as time allows! Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!

I had a handful of small plumbing problems: a leaking clean-out for a kitchen sink drain pipe, and…read morethree toilets, all of which were experiencing problems with slowly leaking flapper valves or float valves. I did a bit of poking around on Yelp, and found that Chris Handyman served the Ann Arbor area and had very high review ratings. So I sent him a service request via Yelp yesterday afternoon, and within a half-hour had a text message reply from him. We exchanged a couple of text messages discussing what needed to be done, and settled on a time today between 11am and 1pm. He arrived at about 11:10am this morning, and immediately set to work. He looked at all of the problems, and drew up a list of the parts needed. He then made a quick trip to pick up those parts and was back within 20 minutes or so. He then began dealing with the problems one by one. The biggest and most complicated problem was the kitchen sink drain pipe, on which the clean-out cap had become badly corroded, leaking all over the basement floor. Chris was very diligent in cleaning up the mess, removing the corrosion and what was left of the old cap, then installing and sealing the new cap. While finishing up that task, he also spotted a smaller problem developing near the top of the same drain pipe, and found a way to seal that up as well. After that task was done, he then installed and tested new float valves and flapper valves on all three of the toilets. Moreover, he was done by 1pm, just as he had estimated. I was impressed with how thorough and diligent Chris was in everything he did, all the while being polite, yet personable. I can now see why he had such high ratings. We will doubtless be calling on him again.

I just had such a terrible experience with Cummings Plumbing that I will not be using them again. Nick, the plumber who came to my home, was unprofessional and made the whole situation uncomfortable. First, he was cursing constantly while working, very inappropriate, especially with my kids in the house. It was really unsettling to have that kind of language in my house and it left me feeling uneasy as my husband wasn't home. To make matters worse, he didn't even tell me he broke the panel he needed to remove to access the plumbing behind the shower. I only found out after the fact when I saw the damage. On top of that, he removed shelving and clothing rods to get to the panel, but didn't bother to put anything back in place. He just left everything scattered on the floor, including my clothes! It was disrespectful and left me with a mess to clean up on top of everything else. I expected a lot more professionalism, especially for the price I paid. I will not be using Cummings Plumbing again and definitely would not recommend them to others.
