Paul is one of the rare exceptions; he turned up on time and only left once the job had been finished (It was about 10:30pm at night (was raining and they'd been digging all day)). Paul has a very strong work ethic, explains clearly what he's going to do and gets on and does the job. We had a backed up sewer caused by a broken sewer line; Paul was able to carefully navigate a crab apple tree and three bushes and replace the broken pipes (without damaging the garden). I first contacted them when Novi had a mandatory plumbing related regulation in effect and they seemed the most knowledgeable, available and at the best cost. The next time I called them, it took three visits and several workers to compete the tasks. While they did locate a replacement part that I needed, it all turned out to be much more expensive than I expected. Next, they came out for free to inquire about a question I had and caught a different issue in the process, which they took care of that day. So it seems a mixed bag with unknown outcomes, but they can usually come over quickly and get the job done.

They are not friendly and frankly I felt they just wanted me out of the store. One example, I was given advice on a faucet from them and when it was determined it was not going to available for 3-4 months, I asked for something similar. The front desk person just sifted through a delta catalog to see what faucet was available, not one that fits our design preferences, etc. (Note: I was able to find the faucet at Lowes and delivered within 3 weeks). I get that they might not keep stock on hand but I should not be shuffled through each faucet in a catalog to give me what delta has in stock at that time. It was rude and I felt demeaned because this is now how I wanted to get my room designed. A second example was for the 2nd bathroom for a quote for shower doors (European style). In the initial quote, we got a quote for regular shower doors. When I figured out that this was for regular doors, I asked for a requote. So, I set up an appointment for them to come out a 2nd time. However, a few hours later, another person from the store left a message on my phone with a quote that was over double. Needless to say, they didn't even do the order correctly the first time, they were inconveniencing me with their person to come out again but then also giving me a quote without even getting the order right in the first place. It seemed to me their back office and front office don't even talk. It had nothing to do with the money but I lost complete trust that they even care to do a good, quality job. So, I cancelled the appointment and will not be calling them again. We want to fully support small business but not Longs after giving numerous chances. Who knows?

The best part is they are plumbers that do residential work on older homes. They aren't afraid to help fix your situation when you have an older Metro Detroit home. We hired them to fix a leaking main shutoff and replace the plumbing for our kitchen sink. They did excellent work on both jobs! I wouldn't hesitate to hire Kennedy Plumbing again especially given I'm confident I will be needing them in the near future for some kind of crisis or upgrade.
