I called, she was very polite (apologies her name escapes me). We scheduled a visit, same day between 12-3. About 12 I had a knock on the door and it was Mark from MPR. Mark came in assessed the situation, quoted a price and got to work. He also took extra care in our crowded basement. Mark had to do some extra work to fix the issue and somewhat unexpectedly he stuck with the quoted price. When the drain was flowing nicely, he cleaned up the areas and prepared the bill. I just had such a terrible experience with Cummings Plumbing that I will not be using them again. Nick, the plumber who came to my home, was unprofessional and made the whole situation uncomfortable. First, he was cursing constantly while working, very inappropriate, especially with my kids in the house. It was really unsettling to have that kind of language in my house and it left me feeling uneasy as my husband wasn't home. To make matters worse, he didn't even tell me he broke the panel he needed to remove to access the plumbing behind the shower. I only found out after the fact when I saw the damage. On top of that, he removed shelving and clothing rods to get to the panel, but didn't bother to put anything back in place. He just left everything scattered on the floor, including my clothes! It was disrespectful and left me with a mess to clean up on top of everything else. I expected a lot more professionalism, especially for the price I paid. Paul is one of the rare exceptions; he turned up on time and only left once the job had been finished (It was about 10:30pm at night (was raining and they'd been digging all day)). Paul has a very strong work ethic, explains clearly what he's going to do and gets on and does the job. We had a backed up sewer caused by a broken sewer line; Paul was able to carefully navigate a crab apple tree and three bushes and replace the broken pipes (without damaging the garden). He was also prompt with his communication and really kept us in the loop as the work progressed. Not only is he a really nice guy he also does great work and stands by it. A+++.
