Wasent scary at all, went cause my coworker made it sound like it was better then HHN. I should have known better but I still went. It wasent what I was expecting at all. It's dirty as hell ( my feet were disgusting when I got home). They had a few vendors. Too pricey for the experience I thought. I got charged $43 to see three trails. My friend got charged over $50 for the same thing ( so she got over charged). They had a DJ which was nice. The bathrooms were potty which of course gross even though there was a person there at all times to not cause any disorder but still gross. NEVER AGAIN! I RATHER PAY FOR HHN AND ACTUALLY ENJOY THE EVENING.

    Tickets please

Great fun and well done haunted houses. The laser tag was a fun addition and the backstage tour was exciting to be a part of. This was our first year here and we will definitely come back to do it again next year. There are nice bathrooms on site and lots of food truck and vender options. There was also a shuttle service to get you from an approved parking lot to the event site.

I am bit late in writing this review, but I better get it out, so you folks know what to expect in October 2022. If you plan to come here, do not procrastinate; free parking is scarce; the alternate option is paying $10 to park in the Mexican Restaurant lot next door. Doors open at 7:30 pm, the ticket booth closes at 10 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Long lines WILL form 30-minutes to an hour before staff opens the doors. You can order tickets ahead, which speeds up getting inside; however, the haunted trails do not open until dark. There is some excitement while waiting in line; Zombie-like characters run around with chain saws scaring the hell out of everyone; it definitely gets you in the mood for Halloween. There is a "fast pass" built into the ticketing system to minimize overcrowding the trails. Upon entry, the staff marks your card with a color (red, yellow, or green) and you are allowed to enter the haunted trail if your color is displayed on its indicator. Again, there is another line to wait in before entering and if you are in a large group like 10, I recommend dividing the group up to enhance the scare factor. I also recommend getting in the front of the group if you want to get the best experience possible. The Petrified Pass ($29.95) gets you access to all three trails one time each, so wait until it's dark before you go, but not too long because lines fill up fast. The park offers several other ticket options with perks like the Petrified Pass + Backstage Tour $42.50, and Full Wrath Pass + All Access $48.50, but no option where you can access trails more than once, and this is where the experience is lacking. While on the Haunted trails the staff does a great job scaring customers but they are limited to their little area. I wish there were more characters on the trails, at times your just walking expecting someone to pop up but nothing happens. A HUGE FYI - do not wear your best clothes, heals, or anything fancy for that matter. There is soft dirt everywhere you walk; if it has been raining, it will be mucky out here too. In addition, there is Cypress moss hanging low enough to leave you covered in chiggers, so be careful. If you are planning dinner, do that first then come here, then go home to clean up. You will not realize how dirty you are until you get back into the light. The main yard has several vendors selling local art, t-shirts, and food. The Zombie-like characters are also running around with chain saws and doing photo ops. We have been lucky enough to see bands in the main yard during our previous visits, but this year (2021) they hired a DJ instead. All-in-all, A Petrified Forest is a good value for the money. I would do it again because it seems to get better and better each time we go, and I want to support the crew that works their butts all year long getting this together.

We were looking for a different options other then HHN's this year and some friends suggested Petrified. For $25 (plus $2.25 processing fee if you buy online) you can do all three trails. They have designated parking areas. None were more then a few minute walk, but they do offer a "terror trolley". We saw people outside Ruben's Tires selling parking spots, even though there were plenty free spaces still available. The free lots can be confusing, especially at night, so these guys were taking advantage. We arrived 15mins before opening and there was already a pretty long line. There are two separate lines. One for prepay and one for those needing to buy tickets. Although ours was longer as soon as it was opening time we walked right in, while they stood in place, so buy your tickets online. You DON'T need to download an app or print your tickets. You have the option to screenshot the QR code and save to your Apple wallet. Before opening scare actors come out to get you hyped up. Also, someone came by to check our tickets and hand us our pass for the three trails. This made the process a lot smoother. There were cops at the entrance controlling traffic, but I still didn't like the way they handled the "security check point". Before opening someone walked down the line with a wand metal detector. This should be done as we're walking in. They have a color wheel to decide who can go in the houses when. Our color was red and it was already on red when we walked in so we went directly to the first trail. We were told after our first trail, we could fast pass to the other two. They actually try and time out each group so you're not all going in at once. With all three trails we were alone for a bit, but eventually hit the group in front of us, no matter how slow we walked. This is the same with HHN, so no fault on them. Huge props for the production of the trails. I would've never guessed it would've looked this realistic. To enter one of the trains we had to sit on a bench and get swung around. Another we had to sit in boat. There were actors swinging over our heads, tons of real looking props, lots of scare actors. They really did a good job. They had a live DJ, food trucks and merchandise stands outside the trails. It took us an hour to do three trails. We had a good time and definitely got our money's worth, but it still doesn't compare to HHN.

If you want a good Halloween scare without scaring your wallet, then this is the place for you. They offer three trails for only $25 per person or you can do two trail for $20. (You're going to want to do ALL three trails!!!) Parking there is an additional $10 and they also offer free parking down the road. It's within walking distance (a few blocks), however, they have a cute Spooky Trolley that will take you to and from your vehicle which is awesome. You can purchase tickets in advance or right there the night you go. I recommend getting there a little before they open because the line does get pretty long. Now don't worry, you'll have plenty of scares while waiting. They had actors coming out in scary masks and using chainsaws while you waited in line, to get you ready for what was to come. All three houses were great. They are creatively done, actors are impressive and if you startle easily (like myself) you'll scream a lot and have fun. This was my first time coming and I'll be doing it again next year.

    Very sneaky for sure

I'm not much of a haunted house/scary things person but my family is. We went tonight and had a great time. Lots of interaction from the characters, great music from the DJ booth and food from the food trucks. Overall had a good night with the family and yes I screamed a few times lol. Will definitely be returning in the years to come.

    Scary lady!

Come here every year and the haunted houses are just so amazing. I've been to Halloween horror nights so many times, and A Petrified Forest totally beats all of those attractions (in my opinion). The haunted houses are long (5-7 mins inside), the actors are REALLY good, the special effects are top notch, and the layout of the houses is just unbeatable. I always end up losing my voice from the amount of screaming I do! This year - Here's House I would rate the houses based on scare-level: 1. The Human Experiment 2. The slaughter house 3. Island of Dolls The first 2 were so so good and lots of "scary" moments. The island of Dolls was just ok. It has the coolest layout with bridges and water, but not as many "jump out and scare you" moments. It's a good one to start with to get ya going but if you are doing a 2-house pass, you definitely want to hit up the first 2. Can't wait for next year!

In its 13th Year of Fear, A Petrified Forest is an event that runs eleven select nights between October 15-31st on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday including Halloween night itself! A Petrified Forest features 3 different haunted trails, as well as live musical entertainment and roaming monsters, perfect for photo opportunities! While there is no parking available at the venue, A Petrified Forest has partnered with several neighboring businesses to offer free use of their lots on event nights. However, this year, to promote physical distancing, A Petrified Forest's famed Terror Trolley will not be offered. Throughout time, great sorcerers attempted to summon past and present forces but failed horrifically, that is until now. Forrick, the most sinister mage, pierced the vale and summoned history's darkest forces. This year, experience 3 petrifying trails presented by our time traveling host. Plunge deep into the Dark Forest teeming with medieval horrors defended by its own sorceress, be snatched back in time to a twisted carnival run by a brutal ringmaster, and finally fast forward to a groovy time in a seemingly innocent summer camp. Dark Forest 9/10 Deep in the unexplored wilderness, lies a patch of horrifying woods that hides timeless darkness. Moments of terror and pain throughout history are preserved here. Try to maintain your footing as you journey past primordial creatures, bloodcurdling monsters, and a depraved sorceress that will attempt to make you part of the disturbing display here in the Dark Forest! As you enter through the medieval crumbling castle overtaken with vines, it becomes clear that the forest is now in control of this land! Occasionally, a dragon bursts through the wall in a cloud of smoky fog! The woods, rock canyons, and glowing swamps of the Dark Forest are full of mystical creatures including Trolls lurk under bridges, beasts hide within the roots of massive tree trunks, and half human & half goats running across rocky ledges! Curious Carnival 10/10 Step right up, if you dare! Test your luck at the curious carnival where all of the odds are stacked against you. The deceptive ringmaster here is a flamboyant showman but of tormented and twisted souls. Will you encounter games of captivating chance or death and destruction, Welcoming carnies or unhinged foes, Amusements or agony? The exterior entrance of this house is intentionally cheesy, evoking memories of low-rent spook houses found at the traveling shows of years gone by. Once inside, the ride itself awaits! An actual fully functioning dark ride car travels along a warped, looping track is still carrying its last passenger's skeletal remains! The ride's animatronic characters have come to life to scare you! The next attraction at the carnival is a classic hall of mirrors where demented clowns stalk passers through the warped glass. Patrons will wonder which clowns are threats, and which clowns are simply reflections! Carnies invite you to play sinister carnival games that might even be deadly, ride a malfunctioning ferris wheel, and even offer a personalized fortune reading which turns out to be rather grim! Camp Carver 10/10 A rustic wooden gateway transports campers back in time to the 1970s. As the legend goes, the Disco Slasher is a madman with hip, long hair, rocking a white pressed-velvet, suit complete with bell-bottoms dripping with blood who stalks the camp after dark, using his bedazzled chainsaw to hack apart campers! It's time for our favorite camp activities including canoeing for your life, terminal tetherball, and bloody arts! A visit to Camp Carver begins in the recreation hall, where a counselor instructs newcomers to go to their bunks and get ready for this evening's costume contest and avoid the movie theater drive in! The impressive vintage movie theater drive-in is in a vast clearing in the woods with a large screen playing nostalgic 70's era advertisements and multiple rusted out old cars sit seemingly abandoned around the screen and all hell breaks loose as campers meet the Disco Slasher! Location: Altamonte Springs, 20 min North of Orlando Dates: Select Nights October 15-31 Hours: 7:15 pm - 11 pm (Entry slots every 15 min) Admission Cost: $27 per person for 3 trails VIP Cost: $39 with Backstage Tour Parking: Free Scare Factor: 10/10 Set Design: 9/10 Costume Design: 9/10

She purchased our tickets directly from the site https://fearreach.fearticket.com/frontapp/book/ticket for $20 each and they also offer two add-on's, (1) the Double creature feature $15; and (2) the speed pass for $10 more. We purchased the $20 ticket, which grants you access to the park and 3 haunted houses. Things to know: - The park is only open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11pm. The park modifies its days/hours near the end of the month to be open on Thursday thru Saturday Nights (24th and 31st) until 12am. - The park is in a large open field out in the middle of Tavares. If you have trouble seeing at night you might want to bring your own flashlight because there is not a lot of lighting to and from your vehicle. - Although you are entering a somewhat enclosed park know that it is all outdoors. Dress appropriately for the humidity (it was muggy as hell), for walking in muddy grass and puddles, and prepare for mosquitos. - There are several osculating fans in the bar area which help but no air conditioning to be found other than in the restroom. - The only running water I could find was in the restroom and it was most likely well water from the property (strong sulfur odor). Bring your handy wipes! First off, I have to say that all the staff here are lovely! Every staff member we met were friendly, had a positive attitude, and truly cared about the job they were doing. I can only image that their managers treat their employees well and appreciate that they have such good people working for them. We had dinner before we arrived here, so we didn't purchase any of the food inside. It is nice to know that there are several food vendors available if you are hungry. The Gringa Mex food truck, and a BBQ vendor, along with one other vendor selling sweets and fried items. We did however purchase several drinks at the main bar and prices were competitive with one of the other bars on site. I was drinking Jai Lai IPA's and they were $6 each, not bad. There are several fun activities like the ring toss and ax throwing which cost more but all proceeds go to a good cause. Additionally, there was a Terot reader, a Henna tattoo artist, and several other merchants on site. All very cool; however, save them for after the Haunted houses to ensure you see them all. There was a very good band called The Dismembered playing during the evening. Our friend is a neighbor with one of the band members, which made the event that much more fun since we were able to meet and hang out with the band for a while. The haunted houses were pretty good. My favorite was Grimoire Manor, second best was Bloodline Barn, and third was the Chainsaw Chase. The first two are more of an actual haunted house, pretty much what we were looking for. The Chainsaw Chase is pretty much your group being quickly corralled (chased) through the haunted house by scary characters with chainsaws. It goes quick, so its over before you know it. I wish there was more characters inside and other creepy things to look at, then maybe have the chainsaw guy chase me out toward the end. Something to mention about the haunted houses is - two items jump out at you in the first two houses. One is this creepy dude that is hidden in a bed and the other is a tall dark Grim Reaper looking dude that's on a pedestal near a walkway. They are pneumatically controlled, which is awesome but they come very close and if I was the lead of our group, they would have hit me in the head because I am so tall. So just be prepared if your tall like me. All-and-all, we had a blast checking this place out. It was our first time here, and it was worth the $20 to me; I have to say, we will be back. If you are looking for another great place to enjoy the Halloween festivities, I highly recommend checking Fear Reach Scream Park out, and be sure to bring your friends, it is so much more fun with a group.

The 1st house was okay, but the theme was a little strange. It was about the three princesses and the scare actors seemed to want to talk about the torture and insult us more, but we had to usher through the house. I think it was the weakest, but goofy. The 2nd house was the best with a surgical theme. There were people in sheets in a room with a stroke light, a dirty bathroom with a scare actor talking to himself through a mirror, and lots of gory effects. The 3rd house was about blood fairies which has a fun walk through the woods with some cool props. It was a little annoying on this one, just because the group in front of us was walking extremely slow. We eventually caught up to them, so we tried to slow down to stagger our groups more, but the group behind us caught up to us. We all were kind of clumped together. It kind of messed up the flow, but the effects were all very fun. The venue is normally great at timing so groups all get a chance to go. They also have some food and drinks for purchase at reasonable prices. Parking is a breeze and the ticket process is relatively easy. The bag policy was a bit confusing though since it said online that you could bring a fanny pack, but then upon arrival it said no fanny packs. I guess being a clear tote if you need, which is allowed.

All were solid with lots of actors, local kids who all did perfect jobs. Lots of actors walking around in costumes. It was a great setup in a backwoods / trailer park feel, right off of i4. The food and drinks were good and very inexpensive. $6 nachos, $8 loaded nachos, $5 corn dog, $3 tacos, $3 bottles of water, $9 local wine and ciders. We got their annual vip pass for $200 each. That's seemingly expensive but you get admission to each night of the event, front of the line with no one in front of you. Regular admission was much cheaper. You also get access to their haunted Christmas, haunted Valentines, and haunted wild West events. I think a regular 1 time admission may run you around $30. I spoke to the person who runs the event. He was humble and very much concerned that everyone was happy. I'm happy to support them. Check them out if you're a Halloween fanatic in the area.

Our meeting place was outside the Orange County Regional History Center in Downtown Orlando. We did a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes. Our guide talked about haunted buildings focusing on: 1- The Beacham - a ghost of an old woman is seen somewhere near the stage, always accompanied by drastic temperature drops. 2- The Cheyenne Saloon is one of the most popular venues in Orlando, but it has a spooky past... 3- Church Street 4- Ceviche - guests will see an out-of-place woman dressed in 19th century garb, standing behind them in the reflection 5- Hamburger Mary's Bar and Grille, originally a hardware store. The building was the location of Bundy's murder trial in 1979 My daughter purchased the Bonus Extended Tour Upgrade which was up to 4 additional haunted locations. These were all interesting and cool. Thank you to our tour guide, Tabitha.) Review #2781
