They have updated some things since I was there opening week for the better. Yes, Virtual Reality is expensive but it is expensive every where that has any type of VR. There is a wonderful variety. From horror to fun. From rides to shoot outs to battles. There is something for everyone. Don't like virtual reality but your crew does? They have mini iPad games at the table area with solitaire and uno and other games. They now have wine, beer champagne, soda, and lemonade and monster drinks. They have chips, peanuts, and candy. You can buy packages for time. Which helps on price. I believe they have specials for all you want for a couple hours a few times a month/ please call them for specials they offer. I do recommend Dramamine if you tend to get motion sick. It is a fun time. It's nice to have something like this to do local instead of going to Orlando. It is family owned. They are closed (for now) Monday and Tuesday Not for smaller children. They also have events like date night as well.

One of the plays they put on wasn't to my liking, but it had won Tony awards and the performances were excellent. Like most theaters, they do a combination of newer and classic plays. They have a program for kids also. There is usually an intermission where they serve a limited selection of drinks and snacks. The theater is worth supporting, and once I am past some medical issues I plan to become a subscribing member.

Brick roads, historical features and architectural details; one such as myself can learn to appreciate the history of the early 1900's. This building was the original State theatre and was renovated a couple times. The building itself is very clean and they've done a great job with cleanliness and upkeep, I applaud management for that! I even enjoyed their bathroom! Their service was very friendly and their staff just charming! I loved how the lights would blink just before the show begins before and right after intermission. We arrived to attend The Memphis Musical performance to support a friend and it was amazing! We plan to attend again and again. I love coming out of the norm to support the arts instead of just watching another movie. Their website just made everything so simple. We were able to easily select our seats and pay for them online. The box office holds your tickets near the front door with your last name as the reservation. Loved that! The show was sold out but we were able to purchase front row seats a few days earlier! Just visit: www.baystreetplayers.org. A perfect evening for a great date night or viewing with friends. I recommend to pre-purchase tickets online, bring cash-in case you need a snack during the intermission, and walking shoes -in case you need to park far. There's street parking only.

Super easy to access and park. Parking is free. The building itself is beautiful and modern. When you go in, they have a bar setup, where you can get drinks to enjoy before the show either inside or out on the nice terrace. They also have snacks. You can take your drinks to your seat also. We were in the first 3 rows for this particular show and were in padded folding chairs. Further back seats are traditional theater seats. The ushers and staff were super friendly and helpful. The venue has nice views from all over it looks like and the restrooms were bright and clean. We will definitely be back for other shows. When you're done with your event, you are just across the street from Middleton's dining and shopping options - such as Portillo's, 4 Rivers Smokehouse, 24 Middletown, Victory Sports Bar/Grille, and Abbott's Custard. The Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival is an annual Memorial Day Weekend tradition. The festival is held…read morein Zellwood at the fairgrounds on Ponkan Rd. There is a small, pathetic midway. The rides are rusty and dated and I watched a worker nod off while the kids were paddling these little boats. Luckily the ride wasn't mechanical but it didn't give me much faith in the other ride operators. There are some overpriced games but the workers don't even bother trying to entice you to play. Along the back side of the grounds are tents set up for vendors selling homemade crafts, arts, food items as well as junky trinkets, jewelry, clothes, toys and other similar items. One such notable item was a guitar made out of a stick and a beer can. No, seriously, a stick and a beer can! A guy right out of O Brother Where Art Thou had one hooked up to an amp! The festival books musical acts, mostly older country groups. One nice thing is that if you are into Christian music the local Christian station, Z88.3, has one day just for them and their music. They have brought in some decent National acts to the festival. No beer is sold on Z88.3 day so that may be a better time to bring out the kids. I heard from a cop friend that on the other days when beer is sold things can get rowdy by the day end. Sweltering Heat + Rednecks + Lots O' Beer = Good Times! There are a lot of Apopka's finest out here so it is fun people watching! You think you've seen camo? Come to the corn festival! That's if you're lucky, the heat is so intense there are a lot of shirtless folks, and let's just say they probably shouldn't be. Tips: bring a chair if you plan on staying for the music. Get there early so you can get a spot under one of the oak trees, those spots go fast! Bring an umbrella for shade and watch the skies, rain and thunderstorms are likely. It is going to be hot so dress accordingly. If you have one of those fan misters, bring it! Wear sneakers; the grounds are grass and dirt, unless you want 7-11 feet and toes! Really though the ONLY reason to come out to the corn festival is for the all-you-can-eat corn. It is quite the spectacle watching them boil the ears in Big Bertha- the monster propane corn cooker. It takes several burly dudes to hoist the corn up and out of the monster machine. Steam rolling out and lots of cheering, hollering, and bell ringing! They then dip the steaming hot sweet corn in butter and lay it out for the streams of people coming through to get their fill. This is the best corn you can get, straight from Long and Scott Farm in Zellwood, the original sweet corn. The farm supplies the festival first before selling to the public. You can buy a few dozen ears to go as you leave the gates. Summer can start now that the Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival is here!
