They bring you through with just your group for optimum scares so it was just my fiancé and I. Based on the outside, I had no idea how big it was inside! I love scary things, so when I heard about a haunted house that's open all year long, I had to check it out. It's located in Old Town, which is a fun area with shops and restaurants to explore after your scare tour. The haunted house itself is pretty big, and there were a few things I really liked. Each room had a different horror theme, and the attention to detail in the decor and special effects was super impressive. I also liked that they send you in with a small groups. I didn't enjoy that the staff just yelling and screaming at you to scare you. For me, it felt more annoying than scary. The best haunted house I've ever been to was in Tennessee. I came here for a date night back in January and I love haunted houses! I like this haunted house because it's open all year round! Around this little area there's many cute restaurants and bars that you can go to after you finish the haunted house! I also like that the tickets are $20. This haunted house I want to say was about 15-25 minutes. It wasn't super long but it wasn't a short amount of time either. I think it was just right. I'm giving this haunted house 4 stars only because inside its small and even though I love haunted houses I still get scared and want to walk next to the person I'm with and for this one, one person had to be in front to lead. Once we did the haunted house we walked around the area for a bit and then went to a bar. It was a really good time!! I would still recommend this if you're looking for a fun night out! read more

this is an old school year round haunted house that is great for kids but not Halloween addicts. It was cute, it could've been better and it could've been worse. very economical and located in a cool area called old city or old town which is basically an everyday carnival. had low expectations and the price point is also pretty low. was not disappointed at all but not something i would go out of my way for again. read more

I wish I could give Negative Stars! Took my daughter today to their store, she like to get something every time we visit Old Town and as Halloween is he favorite day. We went today (Halloween) and I bought he a haunted mansion long sleeve flannel shirt. After we paid and we're getting to walk out I noticed candy so we said ooo they have our favorite (little bites size) so we each took one. The girl behind the register said to put it back because it was only for Halloween tricker treaters, I said really? She said a second time put it back.... I said I just spent over 50 dollars on a shirt and we couldn't have a candy??? The third time said put it back, my daughter put her candy back and was so upset and started crying when we walked up the the street, she said that mean people really ruined her Halloween. I can't believe what a witch this girl was AFTER we spent 50 bucks..! I will never go back in there again and make sure that I tell everyone about my experience there. read more

Keep in mind 3 is a solid rating, that is their base. Then I am giving an additional star to the scaractor who was in the chapel and skidded across the floor and jumped over pews! We visited 10/19/18 evening. The Manor is Central Florida's only year round haunted attraction. Check their website for hours of operation. Mortem is the next owners since the team from Legends owned the attraction which I'm not going to lie, I adored. The MM team have done a great job making the space their own and telling their own story. I would like to see more live actor action in the house. I also know that it's a tricky thing because of budget and profit and such. Over all, I recommend a visit and I'll be back too. Some of the great pluses about the attraction is that just your group goes through and you are not pushed through by employees dressed in black :::cough HHN cough:::: so that you can take your time enjoying the environment that MM has created. The people in the shop were so helpful; and, the selection was excellent. Prices are fine for licensed merchandise. So this was a random happenstance - this was a part of our campy Marge (Marge being out key word to be tourists in our hometown) date - we went to Olde Town. As long as the both of us have live in the Orlando area, we've never been to Olde Town. Now I've heard of Mortem Manor & I miss the days of Terror in Church Street. I LOVE HAUNTED HOUSES!! I love the preface of being scared, I love the adrenaline rush! It pleased us both to find out that an all year haunted house existed! We've been to Freaking Bros in Las Vegas (a part of our honeymoon was doing the R-Rated House of Hell), Terror Behind the Walls at Eastern State Penitentiary, been to several years of Halloween Horror Nights (even worked a few in college), been to Terror in Church Street - even absolutely love the Haunted Mansion in WDW. So this was exciting. We both got the admission to the Haunted House ($15) & the Last Ride ($5)(the buried alive simulation). You got a deal if you did both so it was $18 each. Completely worth it! I will be bringing more of our friends here & possibly see if later we can get a group to go. I was worried that the haunted house would be a lot of jump scares, but seriously the time & effort of the sets was awesome. We were lucky that we were the first people in the house, so we got to walk around a bit & actually look at the sets the attention to detail is awesome! There's a lot of jump scares but it's really well done. You will react. The anticipation of the butcher curtains, the darkly lit hallways - it was wonderful. I don't want to give it away, but how they set things up is not just a silly diorama of Spirit Halloween items (which I was worried about that)- one of the last scenes is in a church & it is amazing. There are actors that do interact with you so I absolutely love it. One of the actors came up to us & said to my husband that he would be the main course & coyly paused saying I would be desert. Such a charming cannibal! The second part was the Buried Alive - Last Ride. This probably isn't for the claustrophobic - you're pretty much placed into a coffin. Still, I get kinda freaked out in tight places, but I am all about experiences. This is definitely an experience! You have to get into a coffin (shoes off) & you are in a deep dark almost sound proof coffin. It's a sensory experience. You'll smell funeral flowers, burning rubber, & the smell of earth. I'm not going to ruin the experience but I think the only thing I'd suggest is to make it a smidge louder. The cool thing (& what they don't tell you) is that there is a night vision camera & they film your reaction. I liked it only because it can get in your head & it is startling, but it's an experience with a twist at the end. All in all, you only love once & if you love the adrenaline rush & love to be scared, DO IT. You won't regret it. read more

I read reviews both positive and negative reviews and I can honestly say it wasn't very scarey and is overpriced at $18. $5 to $10 it would be worth it. No way is it the best haunted house in Florida. Only takes no more than 10 minutes to walk through and only seen 2 live actors the rest were animatronics. Its fine for a 1st time younger person who gets scared easily but for the die hard haunted house fan this is nothing to go out of your way to visit. There are good fake dead characters to look at and some rooms had that had a cool dead smell to them but was I not scared...not in the least bit. I did like the fact there were no one in line and didn't have a large group going in a once so made it more personal of a walk through. read more

The house itself is fine. It's pretty much what you would expect from a tourist trap haunted house in Florida. The problem we had was when one of the actors popped out just to tell my kids that they were moving too slow, and were "ruining it for everyone" Seriously? For $60, I expect better than a bunch of Spirit Halloween props, and staff publicly berating my children because they're walking too slow. Then, when I informed the manager, he told me that "monsters aren't nice" and waved me off. Orlando has a ton of cool stuff; Do yourself a favor, and skip this one. read more

Fun little haunted house. The scares were good and the staff can speak both English and Spanish, but it was a bit short.

I thought it was great but I did go alone so I think haunted attractions will definitely make you have a different experience alone than if you were to go with another person. With that said I can honestly say I was a little scared mostly because I was alone, the actors were cool but not any different than another haunted attraction. This place was awesome. Staff was super into it, very scary, only real downside is it's kinda short and there weren't too many actors inside the haunted house. The decor and pop up objects in the haunted house were very scary though. Take your time walking through and enjoy it. The burial simulator at the end is skippable also. Had a fantastic time at Mortem Manor with my 14 year-old daughter. The staff is phenomenal and the house itself is awesome! LOVED the special effects and animatronics - the scare actors were fantastic! My daughter was SO SCARED but laughing the whole time. She is still talking about it two days later (and I have a feeling she will be telling everyone we see about her screaming/laughing fits). Mortem Manor is located in Old Town in Kissimmee right off 192. It is the area's only year round haunt. High quality props, great scares, dedicated and friendly staff. They also have a Buried Alive simulator which is really unnerving! Highly recommend. Also if you are coming during the 2017 Halloween season, they have expanded for the Haunt at Old Town, where they have 3 additional mini haunts! Tickets are $15 and the simulator is $5. You can go into pretty much any store in Old Town though and grab a coupon that will save you a few bucks. read more

They scared the ever-loving crap out of my girlfriend and I. The actors were super into character and the sets were very detailed. It was a bit dark in a few places where I really wish we could have seen the rooms more, but other than that it's insanely awesome. I just went to Halloween Horror nights at Universal & this one in Old Town far exceeded any of those! I'm so glad I didn't bring my 5 & 10 year olds because it was way too realistic for them. In fact, if you have a phobia with death, funeral homes, caskets and the like you may want to stay clear of this one!
