First time here since relocating to Orlando! I went to the broadway show Hell's Kitchen. Opted to Valet, most big cities downtown parking is a nightmare, Orlando's no different. Valet was efficient and eliminated one frustration....its UP from here! Had some difficulty finding my ticket (my fault didn't log in after to save it) the attendant kept checking on me trying her best to assist. I was finally able to retrieve it and was off to experience Hell's Kitchen! Inside is spectacular! Nice bright very inviting. First stop the bar, the line was long but there were ample bartenders moving it along. I ordered "Girl on fire" of course I did!! The drink was good, a margarita drink, not the best I've had but it did the job. They offered to prepay for a drink that would be ready to pick up at intermission, that's a great idea and I said "yes please" lol. Walked out at intermission and it was there on the counter with my name on a card, great feature. The Theatre is fabulous!! Each seat had great views of the stage. Hell's Kitchen was an awesome experience with great performances by the cast! So happy I had an opportunity to experience it! The price of items are what you'd expect for a venue of this caliber or any concert style venues. Thank you Dr Philips staff you are awesome!

Celebrating America's 250th anniversary the arts center invited a several military groups to see Top Gun: Maverick as a Veterans Community Giveback. We were honored to be provided dinner on the rooftop. The meal was delicious, perfect weather nice music playing in the background. As we were getting ready to head down to the Walt Disney Theater we were given snacks for the movie. This was performed live-to-picture by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Constantine Kitsopoulos. This was amazing experience.

This was my second visit to Dr. Phillips Center. A few years back, I had made a mistake and thought I got my tickets for a show for a different day than I did, so I called them, and they offered me tickets at the student rush rate since we totally missed the performance the night before. For our second visit, we saw a non-profit theater company's production of Something Rotten. From the shows I have seen here now, the caliber is high for the arts seen here. I am excited to return, and I already have tickets to see some of my favorite drag queens for the end of the year. I'm actually eyeing a few other things coming up as well before then. I did want to mention we could hear some other performance going on while we were in the Pugh theater while seeing Something Rotten so that was a bit distracting so they could work on soundproofing.

Alicia Key's Hell's Kitchen at Dr. Phillips Center For Performing Arts was Phenomenal!!! This was my second time visiting the Dr. Phillips Center. I throughly enjoy attending a musical at the Dr. Phillips center. Although, I try to avoid going to downtown Orlando, The Dr. Phillips center is located on the edge of downtown. It's easy to find. Parking can be a chore. They do offer valet parking but I have never utilized it. There's usually parking at paid parking lots or parking garages that are just a short walk from the center. The Dr. Phillips center is beautiful! I really love the overall aesthetics, decor and ambiance! The center is clean. Great places inside for photo op! There's an abundant amount of staff available at the entrance. The staff are friendly and helpful and ready to provide services. I do wish the staff could actually escort you to your seat instead of telling you where to go since I have only been to the center twice. The theater is large and the rows are long. Ticket prices vary depending on which musical you are seeing and where you sit. The musical that I saw was Alicia Key's Hell's Kitchen. It was phenomenal! It's a great representation of life! The vocals, dancing, music, and acting were all amazing! There was drama, suspense, love, laughter, sadness, and loss. Sometimes you're up and you feel like "This Girl Is On Fire" and sometimes you are down. We are all trying to figure this thing called life out! Life will never be perfect but even when life doesn't seem to work out as we planned, we can't give up! You have to get up because sometimes out of our lowest moments, we may Experience Where Dreams Begin!

My best friend took me to Judson's Live at the Dr. Phillips Center to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great experience! This was my second time visiting, and it definitely did not disappoint. The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable, perfect for a fun night out. We enjoyed some small appetizers and drinks while listening to the live band, and everything was delicious. The music set the mood for an amazing evening, and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. Judson's Live is the perfect spot for celebrations, date nights, or just enjoying good food and live music in a beautiful setting. I'm so glad I got to celebrate my birthday there, and I can't wait to come back again!

I go to a lot of shows here, they are very efficient at getting you into he building and telling you exactly where you need to go. There are plenty of bars and bathrooms so the lines are never too long. I've sat in pretty much every area, and obviously some views are better than others, but I've never had a horrible seat and they are spacious and comfortable no matter where you are sitting. Steinmetz is one of the most beautiful and acousticly perfect theaters to see a opera or orchestra in!

Wow, this was such a beautiful venue! I came here to see "The Outsiders" musical and was highly impressed with the venue. First of all, all the employees here are super friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. The entire venue is clean, easily accessible and easy to navigate. They have a bar and a concession stand for you to get treats to eat while watching the show. There are plenty of places to get your picture taken if you would like as well. There are plenty of bathroom stalls when you need to use the bathroom and it's pretty clean in there as well. The seats in the venue are pretty comfortable. The lighting and sound were amazing, too! The parking options are endless. There are parking garages and valet that you can chose from. I opted to pay ahead of time for my parking and parked in a nearby garage that was a five minute walk from the venue. I would recommend anyone come here to see their favorite broadway production. You won't be disappointed.

I come here all the time for events, usually once every month or two. My favorite is seeing Broadway events. In January I went to show out on by the Orlando Philharmonic. In February, I went to see the touring show of Harry Potter & the Cursed Child. They have multiple theaters so they can be doing several shows at one time. This keeps them busy. The building itself is beautiful, large, and airy. There are many bathrooms and bars throughout the building so it's never that long of a wait (comparatively). Lastly, they often have deal or rushes for tickets so it's easy to visit the arts. Highly recommend checking out their events calendar!

My best friend has annual plan and she takes her mom to the shows which are set up. The Harry Potter one was one of them and she invited me to that one. The play was packed up and we were on the third level in seat J1 which was perfect since it put us close to the doors and we dashed out once the play was done. The acoustics were great, there is a part where a large sound comes out right next to us and it startled the hell out of us both. I purchased a $4 bottle of water to get me through the play.

I've been to several productions at the Dr. Phillips Center, and it's always such a great experience! The most recent show I saw was The Wiz, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Every was amazing. the energy, the talent, and the atmosphere were all incredible. The venue itself is stunning, with comfortable seating and great acoustics that make every performance feel special. Th e staff is consistently pleasant, professional, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they care about creating a great experience for everyone. Parking and entry are smooth, and everything feels well organized. The cost of the tickets are reasonable for such quality performances. Dr. Phillips Center truly adds something special to the Orlando area. It's become one of my favorite places to enjoy live theater, concerts, and performances of all kinds!

I appreciate the variety of shows that come through the center and the varied pricing so I can take my entire family. They always have great drink specials to match your show. The valet can be slow but there's reasonable self parking nearby

If you value your time and money, avoid this class…read more BUYER BEWARE: This is marketed as a commercial acting class, but most of what is taught is basic acting and improv. If you are looking for focused commercial training that you can actually apply to auditions and bookings from day one, this is not it. This entire situation could have been avoided if The Studio Orlando had: * Responded to emails in a timely manner * Taken a paying student's concerns seriously * Had ownership step in when issues were beyond the office manager's control Here's what happened: I enrolled in early August and immediately noticed the class was not aligned with what was advertised and what I was looking for in a class. I still gave it two full classes to be fair. Unfortunately, that only confirmed my concerns. The instructor, Ashleigh, may have acting experience, but it did not translate into effective teaching. She frequently strayed from the curriculum, appeared unprepared, and gave very little useful feedback. At the end of the second class, she introduced an improv game and openly admitted she didn't know the rules. Two students attempted to demonstrate it (incorrectly), the exercise went completely off track, and rather than clarify or correct it, she made a few comments and then changed topics without acknowledging what had just happened. In the first class, we were shown two personality slate examples--one correct and one clearly incorrect--but both were taught as acceptable. The following week, that same incorrect slate was shown again with an obvious edit to shorten it, and the instructor still did not recognize it as wrong. This reinforced incorrect industry practices, which is unacceptable in a class claiming to be professional commercial training. I raised these concerns respectfully and provided video evidence when asked. In return, communication from The Studio became delayed, then dismissive, and ultimately nonexistent. It has now been nearly two months with no resolution, response, or accountability. Who this class may or may not be for: * If you're a beginner, you may not recognize the issues and might find it useful. * If you're an experienced actor seeking specific commercial techniques, this class will be a waste of your time. You will spend most of it on improv and general acting fundamentals rather than commercial-specific material. Since raising my concerns in early August, I have been patient, respectful, and cooperative. In return, I have received delayed responses, dismissiveness, and eventually complete silence--even after submitting the proof they requested. Shame on me for signing up for a class from a studio based in Orlando. I'll now be training with AHC+RLC in Los Angeles, where classes are taught by casting professionals, not other auditioning actors. If you need an online class, there are definitely better options out there. This is my personal experience, and others may have a different one, but I hope this review helps future students make an informed decision before spending their time and money.

The evening shimmered with energy--a perfect overture to the season. From the first note to the final bow, the cast carried us on a journey that pulsed with rhythm, harmony, and heart. Their voices soared, their timing danced, and their presence filled the stage with a brilliance that could rival any marquee in New York or London. Theatre, at its best, is a living symphony--dialogue weaving into song, song flowing into story--and this production captured that cadence flawlessly. As the curtain fell, I was struck by the artistry that thrives here in our own backyard. Having lived in Dubai, Las Vegas, London, and New York, I know the grandeur of global stages. Yet nowhere have I found such a steady stream of performances, each one crafted with care, directed with vision, and performed with soul, as I do here in the world's vacation capital. Heather Alexander and Roy Alan, the founders, discovered a rare niche: a theatre that doesn't rely on spectacle or technology, but on the timeless power of human talent. While Dr. Phillips Center dazzles with scale, the Winter Park Playhouse enchants with intimacy--family spirit, authenticity, and artistry that stands the test of time. This was more than entertainment; it was a celebration of craft, community, and pure theatrical joy. Honky Tonk Angels is a salute to the season and a reminder that the greatest value in Central Florida theatre lies not in spectacle, but in the artistry of performers who give themselves fully to the stage.
