There are some amazing things about this theatre space. I love the way the doors can slide open so on nice Orlando nights it's like an open air entrance. I love how beautiful the stairwell is going up to two. I love how much they have expanded their food and beverage line up over the years. The sound tends to be pretty good, the communication from the theatre is always amazing. They waive fees if you come to the box office to buy your tickets. The seats are comfy and almost every seat has a solid view. The box seats are the exception so be warned. The volunteers are always amazing and they are so nice. It would be cool if they opened a second location that served coffee because that line for espresso beverages is always really long. I love the breadth of show types. There's always something for everyone. read more

Wednesday, March 18, 2026 Front Row, Center Tickets to Ms. Diana Ross' Concert Performance I've been to numerous events at the Dr. Phillips Center but nothing beats having the opportunity to see a legend perform within arms-length to where you're seated. And when that "Icon of Icons" is none other than Ms. Diana Ross...well, nothing else need be said. It was a dream come true to say the least. In my most previous update of the Dr. Phillips Center I indicated meeting with and having my photograph taken with the incredible soprano Sarah Brightman was an entertainment highlight of 2025. 2026 has just begun but I will have to use the superlative "spectacular" once again. As in a spectacular show from start to finish. Diana Ross may be 81 years old!...but she still has the voice and ahem...the moves of a much younger performer. Just think of this, she was performing with the Supremes in the 1960's. I wasn't even born and by the time I was she had 12 number one singles with the OG of girl groups! And she is still working it to this day. Ms. Ross sung a multitude of her hits which kept the crowd, and my sister and I, dancing and singing throughout the evening. However, when she started to belt out Gloria Gaynor's anthem "I Will Survive" that really got the audience out of their seats. An Icon singing and Iconic piece of music is an experience second to none. Ms. Ross, you and your mark on music history is unmatched...blessings to you and your family! read more

This was my second visit to Dr. Phillips Center. A few years back, I had made a mistake and thought I got my tickets for a show for a different day than I did, so I called them, and they offered me tickets at the student rush rate since we totally missed the performance the night before. For our second visit, we saw a non-profit theater company's production of Something Rotten. From the shows I have seen here now, the caliber is high for the arts seen here. I am excited to return, and I already have tickets to see some of my favorite drag queens for the end of the year. I'm actually eyeing a few other things coming up as well before then. I did want to mention we could hear some other performance going on while we were in the Pugh theater while seeing Something Rotten so that was a bit distracting so they could work on soundproofing. read more

Beautiful venue and right here in the heart of downtown Orlando. It's become the hub for the best of the best in performing arts both local and national. Here you can enjoy broadway shows, concerts, symphonies and even comedy shows. My friend and I happen to catch Ali Wong's stand up comedy show here. The layout of the theater was perfect. Doesn't matter which seat you have, you can still get a great view of the performance. There is a bar in the lobby where you can purchase alcohol and popcorn. Just get there early enough before the show because the lines are long. Parking is a nightmare so if you're wearing heels, have someone drop you off. The nearest parking is across the street but those spots get filled quick. read more

First time here since relocating to Orlando! I went to the broadway show Hell's Kitchen. Opted to Valet, most big cities downtown parking is a nightmare, Orlando's no different. Valet was efficient and eliminated one frustration....its UP from here! Had some difficulty finding my ticket (my fault didn't log in after to save it) the attendant kept checking on me trying her best to assist. I was finally able to retrieve it and was off to experience Hell's Kitchen! Inside is spectacular! Nice bright very inviting. First stop the bar, the line was long but there were ample bartenders moving it along. I ordered "Girl on fire" of course I did!! The drink was good, a margarita drink, not the best I've had but it did the job. They offered to prepay for a drink that would be ready to pick up at intermission, that's a great idea and I said "yes please" lol. Walked out at intermission and it was there on the counter with my name on a card, great feature. The Theatre is fabulous!! Each seat had great views of the stage. Hell's Kitchen was an awesome experience with great performances by the cast! So happy I had an opportunity to experience it! Celebrating America's 250th anniversary the arts center invited a several military groups to see Top Gun: Maverick as a Veterans Community Giveback. We were honored to be provided dinner on the rooftop. The meal was delicious, perfect weather nice music playing in the background. As we were getting ready to head down to the Walt Disney Theater we were given snacks for the movie. This was performed live-to-picture by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Constantine Kitsopoulos. This was amazing experience. read more

I've seen multiple events here ranging from concerts, orchestras, and Broadway plays. I'm so impressed with the capability the stage has for all the different types of entertainment. Most recently I saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which had huge moving set pieces, puppets, pyro, and multiple light effects from various locations. Nothing crazy to expect from an exceptional Broadway play, but I was so beyond impressed with how perfect it looked in our Dr Phillips theater. It was able to provide all the needed effects and space for the play. It has accommodated every show I've seen perfectly. The seating in the theater is very comfortable. I don't feel like I'm on top of others, and every view is great. The floor is on a tilt, so every seat is elevated from the one in front of it. The balcony and the balconettes also have great views. I typically get dizzy if I'm too high, but the one time I saw the movie Coco with an orchestra from the balcony, I had zero issues. Navigating to your seats if very easy. There are plenty of signs and staff to help. The bathrooms are clean and easy to access with mobility devices. I do wish the lounge areas and food/drinks available was nicer. I have a ton of allergies, and the only thing I could get was an orange juice. They were very kind and gave me all much of the orange juice drink mixer they could fit in a cup. The staff is so kind with what they have. The facility is very upscale looking, but the food and drinks don't match the level of impressiveness. Lastly, I don't recommend valet because parking is very close by, a simple walk and valet can take an hour or more of you waiting after a show. The staff do a fantastic job of rushing to get everyone their cars, but there's typically so many people getting their cars at once that there's always a long wait. read more

I throughly enjoy attending a musical at the Dr. Phillips center. Although, I try to avoid going to downtown Orlando, The Dr. Phillips center is located on the edge of downtown. It's easy to find. Parking can be a chore. They do offer valet parking but I have never utilized it. There's usually parking at paid parking lots or parking garages that are just a short walk from the center. The Dr. Phillips center is beautiful! I really love the overall aesthetics, decor and ambiance! The center is clean. Great places inside for photo op! There's an abundant amount of staff available at the entrance. The staff are friendly and helpful and ready to provide services. I do wish the staff could actually escort you to your seat instead of telling you where to go since I have only been to the center twice. The theater is large and the rows are long. Ticket prices vary depending on which musical you are seeing and where you sit. The musical that I saw was Alicia Key's Hell's Kitchen. It was phenomenal! It's a great representation of life! The vocals, dancing, music, and acting were all amazing! There was drama, suspense, love, laughter, sadness, and loss. Sometimes you're up and you feel like "This Girl Is On Fire" and sometimes you are down. We are all trying to figure this thing called life out! Life will never be perfect but even when life doesn't seem to work out as we planned, we can't give up! My best friend took me to Judson's Live at the Dr. Phillips Center to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great experience! This was my second time visiting, and it definitely did not disappoint. The atmosphere is classy yet comfortable, perfect for a fun night out. We enjoyed some small appetizers and drinks while listening to the live band, and everything was delicious. The music set the mood for an amazing evening, and the service was attentive without feeling rushed. Wow, this was such a beautiful venue! I came here to see "The Outsiders" musical and was highly impressed with the venue. First of all, all the employees here are super friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. The entire venue is clean, easily accessible and easy to navigate. They have a bar and a concession stand for you to get treats to eat while watching the show. There are plenty of places to get your picture taken if you would like as well. There are plenty of bathroom stalls when you need to use the bathroom and it's pretty clean in there as well. The seats in the venue are pretty comfortable. The lighting and sound were amazing, too! The parking options are endless. There are parking garages and valet that you can chose from. I opted to pay ahead of time for my parking and parked in a nearby garage that was a five minute walk from the venue. I would recommend anyone come here to see their favorite broadway production. Every was amazing. the energy, the talent, and the atmosphere were all incredible. The venue itself is stunning, with comfortable seating and great acoustics that make every performance feel special. Th e staff is consistently pleasant, professional, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you can tell they care about creating a great experience for everyone. I go to a lot of shows here, they are very efficient at getting you into he building and telling you exactly where you need to go. There are plenty of bars and bathrooms so the lines are never too long. I've sat in pretty much every area, and obviously some views are better than others, but I've never had a horrible seat and they are spacious and comfortable no matter where you are sitting. I come here all the time for events, usually once every month or two. My favorite is seeing Broadway events. In January I went to show out on by the Orlando Philharmonic. In February, I went to see the touring show of Harry Potter & the Cursed Child. They have multiple theaters so they can be doing several shows at one time. This keeps them busy. The building itself is beautiful, large, and airy. There are many bathrooms and bars throughout the building so it's never that long of a wait (comparatively). Lastly, they often have deal or rushes for tickets so it's easy to visit the arts. Highly recommend checking out their events calendar! read more

Came here to enjoy a contemporary AI & Ethics Show held by UCF Arts and Humanity and another time I came for its community discussion about thr same topic. UCF was throwing a bunch of other interesting events on other days but only got to make it for those. First off I am here to emphasis the Center itself is beautiful and worth coming to see alone. These events in particular were held in the Devos room and the views overseeing our City Bldgs are incredible. Partaking in discussion in a room like this felt impactful esp with people from our community. UCF also had artworks and exhibits on display throughout but didn't really get to see them since it was the last day and they were removing all of them as the show closed. Staff was pretty welcoming except when we were trying to take a look at some of their exhibits. We were then given the boot mere seconds after since they wanted the area cleared. I wish they would have took their timing of the exhibits closing into consideration but can't complain either because these shows were free and something I think that is needed way much more than it's done and admitted. read more

My best friend has annual plan and she takes her mom to the shows which are set up. The Harry Potter one was one of them and she invited me to that one. The play was packed up and we were on the third level in seat J1 which was perfect since it put us close to the doors and we dashed out once the play was done. The acoustics were great, there is a part where a large sound comes out right next to us and it startled the hell out of us both. It's sick a pleasure to know when I'm going to see a show at the Dr. Phillips Center!! It's such an impressive structure with a fantastic entry. But the architecture of the interior is also incredibly memorable and sleek and stylized.. There are so many ushers which speeds up the entry. But all of them are so wonderful and friendly and bright!! The performances are always top notch, but the ushers are all top notch as well!! Even broadway ushers can't hold up to the quality of DPC ushers!! Every aspect of my experience at DPC is always the very best!! Lots of glass by the entrance. Across the entrance has free shows on an outdoor stage, but not during rain. Shows are in different theaters next to each other. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful performing arts center in Orlando! The interior is elegant and absolutely gorgeous. There are always plenty of staff available and everyone is friendly and helpful. They have a full bar for those who want to loosen up and they usually have some snacks available for bigger performances. Pro tip: Get the charcuterie box! It's delicious and often sells out. I have seen countless music acts, comedians, and Broadway shows here, and it's a great experience every time. There's not really a bad seat in the house, and that goes for both of the interior theaters. (Or are there three?) Anyway, you should definitely be checking out any performances that sound interesting if they're at the Dr. Phillips Center. It's a guaranteed great night. read more

I've been to Dr Phillips center a few times and it's always a good time. The ushers and workers are so nice and helpful. The concessions lines move quickly even if the lines are long. The restrooms are big and usually clean. We watched little shop of horrors in one of the smaller theaters recently and it felt like no matter where you sat, you were getting a good view! I struggle a bit since I'm on the shorter side but I was still able to see the show. If you get concessions be prepared to overpay. Parking can be hard to find if you don't prepay for a lot. If you arrive earlier you can sometimes find street parking. read more

I have seen a few shows here and I'm blown away with how well this facility is put together. The construction is well done. The seating is nice. I really appreciate the quality of shows the Dr. Phillips center has as well. I do think the tickets are a little more expensive than if you were seeing the show in another city, but we have to pay for the convenience. I also love that they have snacks and beverages available for purchase for your show. I purchased a ginger ale and there was way too much ice in it. When I asked for the drink to be rectified, the service staff immediately took care of it and I was very happy with that. We got the wonderful opportunity to perform at the Dr. Phillips center as part of a charity dance showcase and it was such a wonderful time. The facilities were flawless. Everything was so clean and intentionally placed. The dressing rooms were huge and held adequate space for at least 20 people. The stage that we used was amazing. All the staff was so professional and quick to make any necessary adjustments. They navigated lighting and timing very seamlessly. I also particularly admired how great they were at adjusting the different apparatuses and setting the scene for each individual performance. Due to the location of the venue as well as the quality of the facilities, tickets can run a bit steep but there are multiple initiatives for free parking that the city has enacted, that can help offset the amount of money that you spend on your night out! There are a bunch of great food and drink options in downtown Orlando that are walkable from the venue. For bars I recommend a small speakeasy called Hanson's shoe repair or a larger speakeasy called Mather's Social Gathering. If you're into music, there's a cute spot the Proper. They have a DJ that spins vinyls. If you like Japanese food, I would recommend Bento! It's casual but with a great taste. I had a wonderful experience, and it was truly a dream being able to perform here with my dance group and wonderful teachers that I love and appreciate so much! read more

Arts for Every Life! The Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts is a beacon of artistry and icon of the downtown Orlando scene. From vibrant Broadway musicals or enthusiastic community performances, the DCP provides a venue for everyone to get out and enjoy creativity in action. I've had the joy of attending a few performances in various rooms at the DCP and they all provide unique experiences. Every theater is gorgeous and provides its own charm. The Walt Disney Theater is grand and spacious; perfect for large orchestral shows or traveling Broadway-style performances. On the other hand, the Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater is intimate -- making you feel close to the performance being held. I parked in a nearby garage and walked over to the center. On a night with nice weather, it's honestly a perfect stroll. Make sure to grab a bite to eat at some nearby restaurants or grab a drink after the shows are through. You can buy drinks and snacks at the concessions at the center. There are plenty of options and their wine pours are very generous! All the staff at the theater are fantastic -- they're friendly, funny, and always ready to answer questions, chat, or help you out. If you haven't checked out a show at the theater, I highly recommend you do! They also have lots of classes, programs, and volunteer opportunities too! I love any chance to support the arts, and I can't ask for a more beautiful venue to do it. read more

I appreciate Dr. Phillips as a venue, but their policies and staff training really need improvement. During my visit, people arrived nearly 40 minutes late and were still allowed to claim front-row seats, which disrupted the entire performance. With so many empty seats available, this should have been handled much better. Additionally, the concession prices are extremely high for what's offered. A few changes in how seating is managed and a fairer approach to concessions would make the experience far more enjoyable and respectful to guests. read more

We went to see Mean Girls here on a weekend. It was our first time at this venue. I bought parking online, with our tickets, which I highly recommend. I had no problem parking, and the lot was right across the street from the venue. The venue itself is very nice looking, inside and outside. The lobby is large and they have a substantial food/drink area. Even if the line looks long, it moves quickly. The merch line moved slower, but was still pretty efficient. The seats are quite large and comfortable. The theater was a bit chilly, so bring something to stay warm. The bathrooms were clean and bright also. I would definitely go to shows here again in the future. read more

We had an amazing time watching the Lion King @ the Walt Disney Center. They offer valet parking which we opted not to take as it would take way to long to get our car at the end. Around the corner, there was a parking lot that charged $20 and that worked out well. Everything was organized from start to finish. The staff were all pleasant to deal with and everyone looked happy, looked good and were giving great vibes. I loved that the restrooms were big, had multiple stalls and I never had to wait in line to use it. The restroom was also kept clean because they had someone there cleaning and restocking. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. I purchased both, tickets for Carmen ballet and a prepaid parking pass expecting a coordinated, professional experience, but the parking situation was completely mismanaged, with a full garage, no clear assistance, and no real solution provided on site. This failure directly caused a delay that resulted in me and my mom missing part of the performance and being forced into late seating for the whole first part of the show, despite paying for orchestra-level seats. When I sought a fair resolution, my refund request was denied and an extremely limited option for replacement of the tickets was offer, which feels entirely inadequate and dismissive of the actual loss I experienced. read more

This is truly one of the most stunning performing arts venues I've ever seen, and we are so lucky to have this facility right here in the heart of downtown Orlando. I've seen several shows here throughout the years, ranging from Harry Potter and the Orlando Ballet to Jo Koy, Aziz Ansari, and Hasan Minhaj stand-up comedy acts... and not once have I been disappointed. I've also attended countless events on the beautiful outdoor lawn and marveled at the insanely gorgeous architecture. The main Walt Disney Theater is breathtaking and there's not a bad seat in the house. Even the restrooms are pretty (and great for taking mirror selfies lol). I'm happy to see they've continue to expand the facility and their offerings with the addition of Judson's Live last year. As with any downtown venue, parking can be a challenge, but they do offer valet (for a hefty price tag) or you can park in a nearby garage and walk. I typically prefer to Uber when going anywhere downtown, but I will always say YES to any performance at the Dr. Phillips Center! read more
