Love this place and now have been back three times to try the different dishes. The pastas are fresh and flavorful, and tonight the filet was perfect! Happy hour had potential, but the service was really slow. It took a long time just to get acknowledged, and even longer for drinks and appetizers--especially since it wasn't that busy. Ordered caesar salad since menu said that dressing was made in-house. Very disappointed. Dressing tasted like mayonnaise with parmesan cheese in it. No hint of lemon, anchovy or garlic, essentials of a correct dressing. Ordered the beef short rib - a $40 entree. Came extremely dried - think very dry jerky. This type of entree must be made in advance, but not so many days in advance, held (perhaps uncovered?) then microwaved to heat. Supposed to come in a wine sauce which was a light brown, watery gravy. The whole entree was awash in this tasteless lake. This is my third visit here. I wrote a letter to management complaining exactly as I did here, but have heard nothing in two weeks. I feel as if I have been blown off. Perhaps the owner does not care. read more

I fairness before I write this. I am from an area of the country where Italian food is king. We went there on a Saturday, it was not overly busy so we were seated quickly. It was very quiet. I don't recall hearing any soft Italian music. I love the open Kitchen, and the design as a whole. Our server came to give us water and take our drink orders, he did not mention the "happy Hour" specials. So I took it upon myself to order the Caprese Bruschetta .When he brought the drinks back and took our order that was the last I saw of him until he brought the check. No drink refills, oh, and no Italian bread??? That was a first at an Italian restaurant. He never came by to see if we needed or wanted anything. The food was pretty good. I did have cloves of garlic in my pasta, not cut at all. After dinner we went over to check out the bakery. Everything on this side was very nice. The items we purchased were excellent quality. The person behind the counter was incredibly helpful. I understand, it has been only open since January, and it takes time to work out the kinks. So, we will be back in a bit to check it out again. This place recently opened near my grandpa and he was really excited to try it out. Before we went, my boyfriend, who has a gluten and corn allergy, called the restaurant to ask the ingredients of their gluten free pasta and they hung up on them. I figured it was an accident and that we could ask in person. Then at the restaurant my brother ordered the margherita pizza and it came out burnt. When he brought it to one of the staff's attention, they told him that that was just how the pizzas were despite multiple other people at the table having pizzas that were not burnt. My other brother ordered a dish with clams and the food was sandy, showing that they clearly did not properly clean the clams before serving them. Very unfortunate because our family was looking forward to having a new restaurant to eat at! read more

Tried this place the food was amazing, the decor is amazing very cozy. The service was amazing with our waitress Anna bing on point. Not sure why the less than great reviews because we did not experience it- they were on par. Maybe newly opened as it takes some time . We ordered the spaghetti with added shrimp and Salmon fish- incredible test! We also ordered the Short Rib-my god it was incredible! The rigatoni salsiccia ricotta was incredible. Food seemed undercooked. A party of 7 of us went, ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees. Nobody in our party liked the food, the flavor of each was "off", each dish looked undercooked and was pale, the pizza was limp. Nobody ate their complete meal. We each ordered a separate entree besides the pizza and Caesar salad. Each was awful. I could understand one person thinking their dish was awful , but not 7 people with 7 different dishes. My husband and I were up sick all night and this morning running to the bathroom. I don't think this business will make it. read more

We ordered a prosciutto sandwich and fountain coke. We had to order at the counter. We were told to have a seat and our food would be brought to us. I left a 20 per cent tip in advance. About an hour later we went back to the counter and my order had not been started. Nobody had checked on us. And the place was not at all busy. After about another 10 minutes we went to the counter again and got our food to go. When we got home to eat it was the wrong sandwich and inedable. Really excited and happy to have a new restaurant in the area. First impressions are great. The ambiance and atmosphere is great. Unfortunately for our first visit I would only be able to give 3/5 stars. Our server did a great job but you can tell that there were some nerves since the place is barely opening but I did not mind that at all and will get better in time. We ordered The Butcher and although the pizza came out timely the crust was already extremely soggy. The flavors are there but we could barely pick up our slice without everything falling off. We also ordered the Rigatoni Salsiccia E Ricotta and that was probably the highlight of our meal. We hope this feedback helps and look forward to updating this review to a 5/5. read more

I was so excited to try this place and finally came in with my husband for Father's Day. Unfortunately, it was a disaster from the start. There were only three tables seated (including us), yet we still waited to be acknowledged while the staff ate pizza at the bar. We ordered focaccia and meatballs to start. They were decent, though the meatballs were barely warm. Then things got worse: our entrees (lasagna and filet) were brought to the wrong table, then picked up and placed directly on ours. We asked for the lasagna to be remade, and my husband cut into what was supposed to be a filet--only to find a thin, overcooked ribeye that looked nothing like a $50 steak. Honestly, you'd be better off going to Texas Roadhouse. I ate alone while he waited for a replacement steak, which showed up nearly raw in the center. The server didn't say anything in the moment--only muttered a quiet "sorry" when she brought the check. They comped the filet, and after we'd already handed over our card, decided to comp the lasagna too and brought over a free cannoli. But none of that made up for the poor handling and repeated mistakes. We followed up with the manager after we left. She said she wanted the staff to handle the situation differently--but it was clear she didn't take charge when it counted. That lack of leadership showed from start to finish. It was definitely not the Father's Day dinner we had in mind. My husband is now making his own steak at home while I deal with a fussy baby who spent more time out than needed. We'll give them a couple of stars for the beautiful space and tasty focaccia and lasagna--but we won't be back. read more

Stopped in for the first time and sampled the enormous butter croissant and the lemon lobster tail pastry along with an iced mocha and a hot latte. Delicious!!! Kayla, our server, was friendly and welcoming! The facility is clean and bright and very comfortable! You chose whether to sit in chairs or on couches. Heads up tho - they do charge a 3% credit card surcharge fee which was not disclosed ahead of time (at least I did not see it posted at the register). We will definitely return to sample more amazing house made pastries or maybe even go for lunch to sample their sandwiches. read more

This review is strictly for the restaurant, not the coffee/bakery side. Came in yesterday for coffee and a pistachio croissant. so good and authentic. Came in today to try dinner. Got in just before happy hour ended and the server assured us we would get the happy hour drink and appetizer prices. We did not. Ordered a salad, pasta and a pizza. The pasta was piping hot and good. The pizza, which was delivered at the same time was not even warm. The pizza itself and the meatballs on top were not even remotely hot and mediocre at best. Mediocre, cold food for a place that has an authentic Neopolitan pizza oven is a real shame. Paid the bill table side, and didn't get a receipt to check prices until I had to go to the bar and ask for one. Noticed I was charged full price and not happy hour. Didn't even bother complaining. $107 for cold, mediocre food at full price was disappointing. Come for the coffee and pastries. Skip dinner. So much potential. read more

I think we have found a new favorite! The space is very nice and well decorated and made a great impression when we walked in the door. The food was even better. Our party of 5 had a wide variety, from gluten free pasta bolognese, to pizza, to rigatoni and even the rib eye. They were all amazing. We finished it off with espressos and a couple of affogatos which were very good. The service was attentive without being smothering. Beautiful atmosphere, disappointing food. The decor is stunning and the service was kind, but unfortunately the food fell flat. The butcher pizza was soggy and undercooked, the gamberi salad had mismatched ingredients and lacked flavor, and the meatballs were underseasoned and undercooked. Even the Pinot Noir was mediocre. I'm a major snob when it comes to my Italian food and this place was amazing! I've tried their flat focaccia, their Margherita pizza, and their Rigatoni al Tartufo (I think that's what it's called but it's truffle, mushrooms and pasta in a creamy sauce!) I've also tried their Margarita drink and it was delicious as well. Also love their crème brûlée! Both times I have gone, have been with my boyfriend and he loves this place as much as I do (he loved their spaghetti and meatballs, which I also tried and loved). We visited A Modo Mio with a group of friends. Unfortunately, there was a snafu, and our reservation got lost. No worries, the staff bent over backward to make it right. Within 15 minutes or so they pulled together a table for 10, and treated us to two servings of bread - ciabatta and focaccia - that were out of this world! They also provided a gift of three of their best desserts to share. The portions were generous enough so everyone got a few tastes, and they were delicious. Everyone was happy with their entrees as well. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. This restaurant is brand new, and still has some growing pains, but I can't wait to return to try more of their delicious dishes. read more

We were there yesterday morning. It was our second time as the first time gave us a very good impression of the food. But yesterday the food was awful. We had the dish with the different meat in it, the Ragu Napoletano, with the different chunks of meat in it. Oh my, it was terrible. The rib was hard and chewy, the sausage was dry and hard , so was the meatball. Yes, one meatball and a small piece of sausage. They all tasted like leftovers reheated. It was extremely disappointing. We ordered 2 dish es with a very small pan of roasted potatoes. The meal costs us $70. We didn't mind at all if they were good like the first time. Second time there with a friend. I was early, told the hostess there would be two of us and ordered an espresso. Not sure why the espresso took so long but it hit the spot. We had decided to share the house salad and a pizza. Friend asked if we could have pizza ingredients not on the menu and server said sure. The salad came first of course. I don't usually order restaurant salads but this one was a winner. When our onion and mushroom pizza arrived we devoured it also. The service was attentive and friendly. Server had no problem splitting the check. Gave a good tip but probably should have given more considering her excellent service. Would recommend the restaurant highly. Went to give this place a try. Nice looking place with a big bar and side area with booths and tables. The booths have a big design flaw, table height way too high, aligns with your my mid chest. Try to get a table. We had the Arancini which were very, next a couple of their designer salads, also were good. We tried a few pizzas, one had their Ragu on top and we were disappointed. The Ragu was a brown sauce and very saucy. Was like having a runny pot roast on a pizza. I prefer a red sauce based Ragu. The other pizza was the calabresse, a spicy pizza which was good. The crust on both was delicious but the bottom seemed too raw. Also order was pesto gnocchi, was a different take. Not enough garlic in the pesto and was drowned in sauce. Overall though a descent place. Presentation on everything was very good, our waiter did a good job. After dinner we went to their cafe side. What a disaster. They have to figure out their service, it appears to be waiter service, but really is order at the counter. One girl barista working, nobody work pastry counter. Everyone in there was like what is going on in here. Trying to just order a few pastries was a major chore. Needs to be redesigned. With that said, the pastries were good, nowhere as good as Sicilian Butcher but tasty. Cappuccino was very good. Overall would give it another try, but really analyze the menu. read more

Do not eat here if you have an allergy! They are NOT ALLERGY FRIENDLY and NEARLY KILLED ME. I ate here last night for the first time with some family and friends. I had let my server Jessica know at the beginning of the meal that I have a severe and deadly allergy to all nuts and nut products. She assured me that the kitchen was made aware of my allergy and all my food would be safe for me to eat. After a few bites of the Proscuitto and Mozzerella I knew something was very wrong. My whole mouth started to tingle and swell up slightly. Within an hour and a half I was being rushed to the emergency room suffering from anaphylactic shock. My entire body was flushed, covered in hives, and I was struggling to breathe. Luckily I made it to the hospital before it was too late but this is the kind of mistake that kills people. I don't blame Jessica outright. She followed the proper procedure and notified the kitchen which in turn notified me that they were made aware of the allergy. The short coming seems to have been negligence on part of the kitchen staff. Cross contamination is the big issue here. Do better A Modo Mio. This is completely unnacceptable and I will be exploring legal repercussions. read more

This this was our second visit. We were sat at a tale by the window. We just stopped in for a pizza and calamari our waiter Stephen took our order and said he would be right back with our water. We got our calamari and no water we had to flag him down just to get some water then we asked him for some straws. He said he would be right back with the straws but we had to ask the waitress for straws because he never came back. He never came back to refill our water. He never asked us if we wanted dessert. Also pizza is a finger food and the napkins that they give you are so thin that after the first wipe you need another napkin so I would recommend giving at least a couple of napkins when people order pizza. We liked the food on both visits, but the service has been substandard. read more
