ACROSS THE BOARD…read more i found kinsla on style seat after hours of searching for someone to cut my hair. i was looking for a very specific cut. through her photos, i could tell she had the skill for the cut. i booked a phone consultation and told her the style i was trying to achieve. she reassured me and made me feel very comfortable with booking her. i arrived to the salon and was greeted promptly. it was definitely giving saturday morning salon im used to. community and pop culture talk. just girl time. the other stylists were very nice and had clients. kinsla walked me to her room to begin service. she gave me another briefconsultation and let me know exactly what she intended to do during the appointment. i loved that she guided me and again made me feel reassured in her chair. true skills! she was very meticulous with the cut and made sure i was okay as i was being serviced. the hair wash was the best. she massaged and scrubbed my scalp at the perfect temp. i could've laid there all afternoon. the style turned out better than i could've imagined. kinsla brought tears to my eyes. she truly fulfilled the look i was going for with my hair. she saw and executed the vision. i am locked in with kinsla at this point. we will be working on a routine to keep up the maintenance and working on growing out the cut. i would definitely recommend kinsla and anyone in this salon as they all have LICENSED skills and you can tell they care about their clientele through their work. thank you kinsla and total hair elite!

I purchased a closure from this company. I kept the install in for about one month. The hair…read moretangled, matted, and sheded when I washed it. So much so that it created a huge bald spot in the closure. I called to complain and the owner implied that there was nothing defective about the closure. This occurred because it's silk base and it was combed too much. This makes no sense! How else should I untangle this matted hair?? No one wants to buy hair that tangles and sheds so much that it creates a bald spot in the center of the closure. And to add insult to injury, the customer service was beyond sub par! My stylist was clearly new and inexperienced because she COMPLETELY botched my highlights. I'm talking bleach splotches, straight lines from brown to blonde, and brassy as all hell (see the photos) not to mention she bleached the end of my eyebrow!!! She didn't blow dry it so I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home. So, I went back the next day to give her another chance to fix it. She had a senior stylist give her some tips and directions and she completely ignored them. It was 6:00pm and she was CLEARLY tired and in a hurry to get home and really didn't care about my hair. I asked her if we should tone it to get rid of the brassy orange tint and she said no.... So once again, I left with a HORRIBLE color job that looked no better than it did before she "fixed it." When I called to speak to the manager the next morning, I sent her pictures and asked for another SENIOR stylist to fix it and she said no. She told me that this girl had done it and she had to fix it herself. I said absolutely not. I asked for my money back and they refunded me (minus the $20 tip I had initially given her) and was apologetic. So now, I have an appointment at Beautique to fix this girls mess. **At Beautique, the stylists have to apprentice for a full year so you KNOW they will be competent.** I'm sure there are some great stylists here but be sure to ask for an EXPERIENCED, SENIOR STYLIST!!!
