Tried their new Roman style pizza today. Instagram lured me in. Definitely looks very enticing in pictures. In person- it was indeed tasty and I enjoyed the fluffy crust...but something was missing. It wasn't as savory as I would have liked. I feel the dough almost had a sweet taste and didn't have that yeasty flavor. Once you cut into the pie, the crust at the ends of the slice gets very saturated by the sauce and almost disintegrates and falls apart, which I didn't love. I feel this would be better if the dough was more sturdy and then also maybe less sauce.

Returned to A Legna and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I remember our server, Lisbeth, from the first visit and she was just as outstanding. She does a great job at handling dining customers, as well as preparing deliveries. We started with the Baby Spinach Salad (Fresh pear, goat cheese, walnuts, honey mustard vinaigrette). This salad was large, tasted fresh, and I had to ask for a to-go container. I'm not a fan of walnuts, but the way all of the other ingredients combined with the nuts, it made the salad enjoyable. For entrees, we chose the following: Minestrone Soup, Chicken Noodle Soup, Pasta with garlic and olive oil, and the Burrata Roberto Pizza (San Marzano Tomatoes, cream filled burrata, cherry tomatoes). This was a 12" personal size pizza and it was OUTSTANDING, as the photos will show. I enjoyed every bite of this pizza, the cheese was pleasantly creamy, the basil leaves were large, and I highly recommend it. I look forward to many more meals at A Legna and I hope that every Yelper will get to experience the quality of their food.

Ordered a 4-cheese pizza and got a pizza with torn up pieces of American cheese.... I've never had pizza with Kraft American cheese on it and won't be ordering it ever again!

I had the individual chicken pesto pizza and it was good. The dough is outstanding and the pizza was made just like I requested.

Nice local pizza spot, very underrated. Inside was decorated for the holidays. Nothing fancy but enjoyable. The service was great and very friendly. Always nice coming by the restaurant for a good meal.

When Fiamma closed I was bummed, so it's nice to have another delicious pizzeria back open in the same space! At A Legna you can find similar pizza to Fiamma -- neapolitan / wood-fired pizzas that are made to order and ready within two minutes. The menu has a large variety of pizzas, plus other classic Italian restaurant dishes like pastas, salads, meatballs and the like. Pies come in small or large and are around $12-$20 depending on size and toppings. Hubs and I ordered two smalls but could've easily shared one. They are pretty big and super filling because the dough is very thick. Usually neapolitan style pizzas are a little more thin crust, but these pies were very thick and chewy. We went splits on a plain margarita and a veggie pie that had spinach, garlic, onions, olives and goat cheese. The crushed tomato sauce was super sweet and flavorful, and there was lots of melted fresh mutz on both pies. I just wish the pies were a little thinner and had a better distribution of toppings. A lot of the toppings were just clumped together which we didn't love. All in all it's still a really tasty pie and I'd order again for sure. It's definitely a different vibe than many of the local pizza shops that are around, so I'm happy to have A Legna in Mo-town!

A Legna means wood-fired. I had a look that up. Morristown has some nice sections, especially in the Morristown Green for shopping and dining. This place got really crowded the other night. I was hungry and Juan, the server, knew it. I had 2appys and a ginger ale. Both excellent. But I must say the tomatoes could have been tastier with the mozzarella and basil.

A Legna is a solid wood fired pizzeria with consistent product and delicious food; It's always a pleasure dining at A Legna!

I ordered delivery and I have to tell you, I don't write reviews often at all, but this pizza is the BEST around. I git a regular cheese pizza... the sauce has chunks of tomato in it and is delicious. I had to spread the word... give this place a shot!

Delicious! Super special! My order: half plain, half pepperoni/mushroom. I called in my order, picked up and literally raced home! This pizza is clearly a specially made process! Jose and staff are awesome, lovely people! Please note I am an anti-takeout pizza person! I won't hesitate to order take out from here again!

The meat was the correct type of meat for the dish, beef shank, and every piece was wonderfully tender. The noodles tasted like homemade noodles and had a really nice bite to it. It wasn't too firm or soggy. The broth was flavorful and complex with chili oil for added kick and the added fresh scallions and cilantro really brightened up the dish. The dish by itself was 5/5 stars. I'm surprised I hadn't tried Let's Noodle sooner since it's across the street from one my favorite ramen spots in the area, Ju Ichi. Let's Noodle optimizes a "Hole in the Wall" restaurant, very unassuming but it delivers authentic Asian flavors and delicious noodles. Although I didn't try it, Let's Noodle lets you craft your own noodles with choices of sauce and protein. The interior had very limited seating but a cute bar style table looking out toward the street. The windows where I sat had a nice large ledge which was super convenient to put my bag so it's out of the way and off the ground. The food came out pretty fast despite there only being 3 staff members that I saw - a front desk cashier who doubled as a server to deliver food when ready and 2 kitchen staff. The price was a little above average for what you'd expect for a non-full service restaurant, but it wasn't horrible either considering how close it is to the Green in Morristown. The pork buns I had were tasty but the pork mince inside was minced a bit too finely for my taste. It almost resembled a paste when it should have had a more structured and juicy bite. It was still enjoyable but it wasn't the star of the show. After I finished dinner, I decided to also try the Dan Dan Noodles to go. The takeout container nicely separated the noodles from the sauce so the noodles wouldn't get soggy when I got home. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles had great texture but once again, the pork was so finely minced, like the pork buns, that it really detracted from the quality of what was otherwise a fantastic dish. Overall, my experience was great. I love authentic hole in the wall spots and I am excited to go back to try the other dishes I missed!

One of my kids wanted some salt for her mac & cheese. Bartender never came back to ask how everything came out. Multiple people loafing around and waking past but I couldn't get anyone's attention for the salt. I asked someone who said we aren't his table and kept walking. I saw this guy up by the bar - collared shirt - looked like a manager. I waved at him and he looked at me and just shook his head and went back to talking to some other bar back.    I was beyond pissed and finally the older manager lady happened to walk by. I said who is that guy in the collared shirt - oh he works here but hasn't started his shift yet. Yea well I just wanted the salt shaker if he bothered to take 2 seconds and see. Or he could have gotten someone else's attention but he didn't, he just blew me off. But the Manager made no attempt to really apologize or ask what she could do. Then our drinks are empty for awhile- none came by to see if we wanted another round. Eventually I'm waving at the bartender who finally comes over and I ask for a 2nd round. Then he forgets about making them and spends 15 mins talking with other employees and doing whatever before I wave at him again. He gives me the nod and The drinks finally come but no limes like the previous round. Honestly I was done - might have stayed longer but with our kids it was time to go. Finally I've included a photo of our view of these diligent employees that are obviously too busy to worry about service or the perception of how things look from a customers point of view. The food wasn't bad but honestly the experience wasn't great. We won't be back.

A lot of other places make it but it's still cold. I also liked how fresh the ingredients taste. Service takes about 15 to 20 minutes for the order to come out just as a heads up. One Only small critique is the bread. While I like a crispy baguette, this one is a bit too crunchy and can cut the roof of your mouth a little. So don't gobble it down fast like I did. Parking can be a bit tricky given its location near a major road, but there is metered parking right out front. One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful packaging. Instead of wrapping everything in paper/foil (which traps steam and softens the bread), they use takeaway containers that keep the banh mi bread crispy and intact. The portions are generous! I don't think I've ever had a bahn mi with so much protein! I personally asked for extra cilantro on some of the sandwiches which is why the cilantro looks so obnoxious in the pictures. Everything was solid and satisfying! The lemongrass chicken bahn mi stood out with its aromatic flavor. The Saigon special bahn mi though, could've used a bit more presence from the mayo and pate to enhance the flavors. Sounds weird, but surprisingly, the sardines in tomato sauce bahn mi was better than it sounds. It was savory and definitely worth trying if you're feeling adventurous. The summer rolls were fresh, clean, and a great complement to the sandwiches. My only note: I wish the pickled carrots and radish had a bit more tang. They leaned mild rather than punchy. Overall, a reliable spot with thoughtful touches and flavorful options. I'd come back again.

There is also seating on an outdoor terrace on the second floor and a few tables in front of the restaurant on South Street if you're up for dining al fresco. It's a terrific option in Morristown that's sophisticated enough for a date on the outdoor terrace when the weather cooperates or a pre-theater meal in the dining room, yet casual enough for beers and appetizers while watching a game in the bar area. The menu captures the essence of modern American comfort food. Whether you're grabbing the Stirling Burger ($18) -- made from a tasty short rib and brisket blend -- or splurging on the Grilled New York Strip ($48) topped with crabmeat fries, the quality is evident. They are also great with dietary restrictions. Between the various poultry, fish, and vegetarian options on the menu and the kitchen's willingness to make moderate accommodations in any other dish, there's something for everyone. We recently celebrated my niece's 21st birthday here, and our server made it memorable by honoring her milestone birthday by playfully asking for her ID EVERY SINGLE TIME she ordered a drink. It became a running joke for the night and made the occasion feel extra special. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is that both sides of the main floor can get pretty loud when it's packed and the prices are a bit on the higher side for casual dining.
