Called to get my pellet stove cleaned and was told they do clean stoves! When the guy arrived he told me they don't clean pellet stoves "not trained to do that" Proceeded to go out and clean my 7" stovepipe in about 2 minutes! I needed my stove serviced but that didn't happen! I was charged $195 for the cleaning! Called and expressed my concern with no real explanation from them! I wouldn't recommend them for pellet stoves as they lied about their service but gladly took payment for a nothing job! Terrible! Don't say you do a job when actually you don't ! read more

I am happy with how promptly A Kleene Sweep called back on Monday morning after I left a voicemail on the weekend asking for a service/chimney sweep appointment. They set an appointment within the following day, and on the day of service, someone called ahead to ask permission to come early. Both employees were polite and professional throughout their time in our home. Great service! The cost of the inspection and chimney sweep was $130, which seems reasonable given that it required two people, time on the roof, and some dirty work. They emailed a follow up report with details and inspection results before leaving. Love knowing our chimney and fireplace are now clean and ready for another season. Tyler & Andrew were great. Professional (arrived on the dot), courteous (clean, masked) and very knowledgeable! I didn't think of a chimney sweeping company as the same as a chimney repair, but they appear to be better at inspecting chimneys than the repair companies I have come in contact with. When we bought our home, the home inspector recommended we'd get the chimney checked out. Our amazing realtor actually hired someone to trouble shoot it and it took that repair person close to an hour to just find the hidden security on / off switch. The team from A Kleen had it running in two minutes, further inspected it, removed some left behind trash from behind the unit, and then got to cleaning. I think it all took them about an hour. One day services Molly and Liz emailed asked for a few photos To look up the propane heater/stove we had in our home Someone had removed the fan and motor from the main heat in our home. The appointment was set for the next day for between 1:00 and 3:00 Dan called us just after 1:00 to check if we where home He arrived soon after Came in our home with his helper Laid down a large cover to cover our carpet. Nice The stove is a pain to work as it sits in a corner of our living room. Dan and his helper had to unhook the stovepipe and move the stove out from the wall. I'm SO glad I used these guys for our gas insert installation. They went out of their way to find a gas insert that worked in an existing space that was very challenging, whereas other fireplace companies were much less interested in helping me. They took pride in their work and the results were great. Another great thing is that they do several steps of the work end-to-end - they can prep and frame the area where the insert is installed, they can plumb the gas line, they can install the insert, and they can even do finishing tiling and trimming. I checked with other fireplace installation companies but other companies ONLY do the fireplace itself, not any of the other steps which means I'd have to separately coordinate with several different companies such as a construction company, a plumber, a tiler, etc. What a hassle! But Kleene Sweep was willing to do all of that, so it was just smooth and easy. And we love the results. I can't say enough good things about them. They get busy in the Fall so if you don't book an appointment early, you will likely have to wait a few weeks, but they are worth the wait! If you have an issue, ask to speak to the owner. They provided fantastic ideas, a competitive quote, and kept us informed of the progress the entire time with pictures and regular phone calls. They hit their schedule as promised. This company is truly professional and skilled. I hired them twice in the past year to service our fireplace and then to help with the starter malfunction. They knew exactly what the issue was, but didn't push me to purchase new parts or to pay for a second service call until we tested the results of their general service call first. Very professional.
