However, it took us ordering it in May and not receiving the final piece until late August that is so disappointing. The woman we worked with on ordering was kind, helpful and patient while we made our choices. We were told it would be about six weeks or shortly before 4th of July. Sure enough we get a call a couple of days ahead of July 4th saying our order was ready to be delivered. The delivery men showed up and were incredible. Very professional and capable. For reasons unknown they were tasked with telling us that our fire table did not arrive and we would have to talk to a sales person about next steps. My husband called and since this was just a day before the holiday he was told they would do some checking and get back to us Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and nothing. He called Wednesday and was told that our table would not be delivered to mid August. When he asked "did someone forget to order it?" he was met with silence and then told they were not sure exactly what happened. We were offered a loaner but chose not to take it. Finally in the 3rd week of August we received a call saying that are table was in and would be delivered. A call the day of delivery would let us know the time window. Day of delivery the delivery men showed up at our door with no forewarning as far as a call was concerned. I just feel there is a break down in communication somewhere and when you are paying that much for furniture it would be nice to be kept in the loop regularly instead of a hit and miss approach or not at all. My husband made A LOT more calls than he ever received about our order. I would have to think long and hard about recommending Patio World to a friend.

Wanted to buy more there but the prices were higher than elsewhere. Noted. Did find a few things. Next, tried to exchange a defective item (pillow) less than a week later. It developed a hole in a seam. Talked to a younger manager, who pushed a lot of questions at me suggesting it was my fault the seam had failed. NOT GOOD. Patiently endured her questions. Then she told me there could be no exchange without a receipt. Told her my charge would be in the system. Not good enough. (WHAT?) Offered to show her the charge recpt in my VISA app. Not good enough. Turns out the pillow I saw there during my original visit was too expensive anyway and I had decided to purchase elsewhere. I purchased it at Wal Mart, so I did not need to exchange it at World Market after all. OF COURSE WAL MART TOOK IT BACK ON EXCHANGE HAPPILY WITH NO QUESTIONS OR ISSUES - and it cost me half of what World Market wanted for the pillow!!! Word to the wise. Don't shop with World Market if they cannot support you after the sale, no matter how nice the sales clerks are at the time of purchase. Who needs the extra cost and hassle?
