Among all the negative reviews, I have to say, we had a good experience with Ashley Furniture. Marcy did everything she said she would. Even after we were given the receipt for our purchase, I had some concerns, so I went back the next day, and Marcy explained everything to us so it was all clear. The bedroom came on the day it was suppose to, and the young men delivering the furniture were very congenial and professional. We are very pleased with the quality of the bedroom furniture. We are very happy with our transaction at Ashley furniture. I recommend Marcy as a sales person, because she was very professional and she follows through with everything she says she will do. I wish I had read all the reviews on here before ordering my furniture from this clown car of a store. Ordered furniture in March, its middle of May and still have not received my items. They have no idea when items are coming (even though place orders from their corporate warehouse), and they do not communicate when things are late or delivery dates get pushed back. I've had to call multiple times and each time discovered my items have been delayed yet another week or 2 weeks WHO KNOWS BECAUSE APPARENTLY THEY CAN'T TALK TO THEIR OWN SUPPLY CHAIN. The sales representative Marcy would constantly contradict their own statements - never trust a word out of their mouths. STAY FAR AWAY! Absolutely horrible experience with these people. I ordered a bed in mid-December and was told it would deliver by mid-January. It was finally delivered today (2/18/25) only to have the delivery guys discover that the headboard was completely cracked and broken. I called Ashley to express my disappointment and cancel the order at which point, I was told I would be charged a 30% restocking fee!!! We got regular updates each time there was a change with the delivery date and they were all in a timely manner. We ordered our couch at the end of May and received it earlier this week. We wanted a new extendable table. We found a good one online and went to look at it willing to buy it if it looked good. The saleswoman basically lied to us saying even though the contract said it would take 8-10 weeks to arrive(!?) we would be able to expect it in two to three. When I called to check in was told that is impossible. So she basically lied to us for a sale. It still took about nine weeks to arrive. Do yourself a favor and go check out the products in the store but buy it online because online delivery is only two weeks. read more

Went online to Amazon. They carry Ashly furniture and all could be delivered to our house for CHEAPER price. My experience was only negative. Tried to purchase a mattress numerous problems along the way, ultimately I had to cancel my order and go somewhere else. Starting in early Mar, a gentlemen from this Ashley store quoted me a mattress, fine, we thought we'd shop around then purchase it online for ease. The mattress this gentlemen quoted us was a size that didn't exist, we learned this only by going back to the store and asking "why don't we see this on the website" Ashley "Oh, cause it doesn't actually exist", Us, "ok, well then can we buy what does exist?" Ashley "Sure, we have it in stock and we can deliver it Saturday" Us "great, we need to be out of town Saturday but anytime would be good" Us in the next week we try to schedule delivery Ashley "What in stock, no way, that won't arrive until the end of April" Us "wtf, that wasn't what you said" Ashley "Call back at end of April to arrange devliery" Us "ok, that isn't cool" Us calls back at end of April, get a massive run around Ashley "Yeah, that won't arrive until May maybe deliver 15th - 17th of May" Us "wtf, that is just going from not good to worse" Ashley just doesn't seem to care about anything, they suggest us to cancel the order if we aren't happy. Really, who offers to cancel an order 6 weeks after the purchase, Ashley didn't have any interest in making good on this and the only information that flowed happened when I called them, it was almost worse than dealing with a medical insurance company. I would recommend buying your furniture elsewhere. We ordered a couch from Ashely , and waited 9 or ten weeks for it. When it arrived we realized Mark Harvey had ordered the wrong couch orientation. Now we have to wait 8-10 or more weeks for our couch. After all is said and done we will have waited 6 month or more for our new couch. Upon hearing that the couch was wrong Mark's main concern was that we cover the couch so they could resell it. I will never do buisness with this company again!! read more

Sales person Mark, told him 19 of Jul was looking for a piece of furniture but needed it within 3 1/2 weeks. He says "2 - 3 weeks tops, but probably 3." Ordered it. On invoice it says "Call 8/9 to set up delivery. Called 8/9, said it wouldn't ship til the 10th. Called the 10th - won't ship til 13th. Called 13th. Won't ship till 17th. Called 18th. Won't ship till 20th. Arrive on 23rd. 5 weeks! Waited til delivery to do review thinking the service would warrant upgrade to rating. NOPE. Being mostly a kind and positive person I never imagined being the one to write bad reviews HOWEVER, I wish I would have looked up the reviews on this business before wasting my time. TWO WEEKS to be exact, with lie after lie, delay after delay and nothing to show for it in the end. It went from please wait, you'll get 40% off, to please wait longer and get 50% off, to it got sold out from under you, to FINALLY we would not have that ready for a month and a half now - and o by the way you do not get what WE PROMISED YOU (the 40% off or anything off at all.) The staff is completely unmanaged and the management is shady and uneducated. The young sales lady had more initiative to look on truck shipments to estimate a wait time whereas the manager actually asked "How would I know when that is coming in?" Oh ya Mr. manager, your young, new and untrained staff member already had the wherewithal to look it up. Turns out looking it up didn't help anyhow. Don't even get me started on the second manager!! NO MORAL COMPASS. DO NOT BUY HERE unless you want LIE after LIE and a headache. Special mention to MARK. What a horrible business person, just being honest. A comedy of errors; wrong mattress delivered, took our old mattress and left us without for a couple of weeks. Wrong chair colors, forgot to order the couch to match delivery dates. The most incompetent service we have experienced ever from a furniture store. Ashley Cooperate office said that the Ashley HomeStore in Bend, OR was a franchise and they had no control over this outlet. Corporate claims that "trust is the cornerstone of their business" and that they have a "vision to be world class furniture company", but this is clearly not the case if they don't have standards for their franchised stores. I think future customers need to know where corporate stands behind their product. Locally, the service doesn't exist and promises to deliver is not followed through. WRONG merchandise has been delivered twice at two different times, and then a scheduled date to deliver merchandise is a NO-SHOW. We bought a table back in November, it was supposed to be delivered to our house approximately 8-12 days later. We never received a phone call or anything then when we do call in December, they say oh yeah it looks like one came in. We could deliver in next Tuesday...great. Table never shows up, I have now left a voicemail trying to find out if they still have our table and if we can pick it up. We also paid for the delivery fee, which was obviously a waste of money. Ashley's showroom is pretty well organized and the furniture isn't terrible. They have many options to select from. The only issue is that it feels like walking into a car dealership. Some salesman greets you and then they are your personal shadow. Not saying they aren't nice because they are. It's just similar to your dog obediently following you, but this way was quite uncomfortable. If we have any questions, we will ask you. Some people appreciate their space. Oh how I wish I would have read these reviews before buying anything at Ashley Furniture in Bend. I purchased a sofa and recliner Labor day weekend 2020. I was told the items would arrive and be delivered around October 1. October 1 came and went with no call. When I called, I was told my couch wouldn't arrive until December, but the recliner may come in sooner. Long, long, lie filled story short, here we are at the end of January 2021 with no couch. The recliner arrived in November and I have been paying for both pieces ever since. Sucks to pay for a couch you've never seen. In addition, I got rid of my old couch, anticipating my new ones arrival, and have been without furniture for 4 months now. I was told my couch arrived at their store on January 9. My delivery was scheduled for 1/26. 1/26 came and went. I called and they told me there was a mix up in the delivery schedule and they would send a "special" truck the next day. It snowed. The truck was cancelled. I received a call yesterday to reschedule my delivery....wait for it....next delivery date is 2/5! More than a week past when I was originally scheduled. How does that work? So, here I am, with no furniture, that I have already paid for, and like everyone else has noted, just a lot of empty promises and lie after lie. But, on a positive note, in response to my Better Business Bureau complaint, I am supposed to be getting my $130 delivery fee refunded. Doesn't really feel like a win for me after everything I've gone through and we'll see if that actually happens. After the last 5 months, I don't believe anything anyone at Ashley furniture tells me. If I could provide less than 1 star i would. This place is FULL of lies. I ordered my dining set on labor day. Was told it would take a month to be delivered. Delivery day came and I was told they have my table but only 4 of the 6 chairs I ordered and the rest would be delivered the following week. ok. The drivers show up and they have the WRONG table. then they bring the chairs which are incredibly wobbly and are DIRTY. I paid a lot of money to not receive dirty wobbly chairs. The delivery agent REFUSED to fix one of the wobbly chairs. They also tracked dirt all inside my house (so much for white-glove delivery) I was told by Ashley "don't worry we will replace all chairs next week, just hang on to these for now and they will all be swapped out." next week came no chairs, told "they didn't come in but I Promise they will be here next week i can see them on the truck" next week came NO CHAIRs. but was told again i can see in the inventory that we have over 200 coming and i promise they will be here. Next week came and guess what no chairs. Now im told they will be on the truck for tomorrow. I ask to speak to a manager because this is obviously getting ridiculous to be told repeatedly that "chairs are in the mail" I am told by the gruff man on the phone that he is the manager and doesn't have time for this because he has other customers. So basically I am not a customer because I already purchased? I was then told that he will leave a message for my SALES REP to call me. So a manager does not want to assist and instead decides to shuffle me back to a sales rep. they get zero stars absolutely the worst service ever! we paid the extra for a protection plan & have been put off time after time after time............ashley employees, by the protection company. we've gone through four ashley's people and countless others at gbs! we called & emailed sent photos. we've been completely ignored for months. i guess if you get a stain that's covered you have to wait months to have the stain removed. then they say it's build up! they've said they had computer problems, they're sending emails so we can send pics of the stain but no email so after hours of attempting to get repairs and stains removed we still have to call back. i will be turning them in to the bbb! zero stars! read more

Really friendly and helpful sales people. We are buying an awesome love seat. We've purchased from Ashley's for a couple decades now. Our furniture has held up extremely well. We have three bedroom sets with Cedar lined drawers! People are always asking where we purchased them. We've given furniture away to others because it held up THAT well! Once again we've headed back to Ashley's to find quality built furniture. They stand behind their furniture too. We always buy a protection plan as anything can happen with lots of children or grandchildren. No matter where we've lived Ashley's furniture has never failed us. Bought a living room set for nearly 3,000+ 130 delivery charge. They said it would delivered in 10 days or less. Two weeks later they say its ready to be delivered. I scheduled delivery for Friday because I am leaving town for a few days on Saturday. Meanwhile I get rid of all my old furniture and am sitting in a camping chair as I write this..Well they never show up. I call and the smart ass girl on the phone tries to say I scheduled the wrong day as if I did not know I was going out of town. Service is great until after you pay for your furniture. Worst customer experience I have had in Bend. We went to the store to find a bed that we had seen online. Not being able to see the bed in-person worried me that the sturdiness would not be what I was wanting, but the salesman assured me that it would be as sturdy as any bed on their showroom floor. I checked out one of the beds and was comfortable that it would not be too flimsy. We made the purchase and were told the deliver would be on Jan.15th. Well the 15th rolled around with no call from the store. I called them and was told it would be on the 17th, again no call by the 17th. At this point I told them to refund my delivery fee and I would pick it up myself. Once I had finished putting the bed together, I was astonished at how cheap and flimsy it was. There was no way this was remotely close to the quality of the bed the salesman had me try. When I called the store I was told I could return it, less a 35% restocking fee. Are you kidding? 35%? The manger was rude and condescending. I called the corporate office and they were no help either, basically they routed my complaint back to the store I was complaining about. At this point I have no bed and am out almost $200. Do not shop at this store. I will celebrate the day they close their doors for good. With customer service like this in Bend, they will not last long. read more

We had a good experience with Ashley. We only bought two bar stools but they gave us a deal on it and we were able to get them in stock. The tops on them peeled after just a couple months but I called them and they sent a replacement right away. I felt like it was good customer service. I don't remember too much about if we were greeted or not when we entered; however, I was happy not to be pounced on by an individual trying to make a sale. I wish I would have never bought our new sectional here. We bought a sectional at Ashley the day after Thanksgiving and were given a tentative date of December 16th for delivery as it could be delivered before that day. December 16th passed and we hadn't received a call from Ashley's so my husband called them. They said that they would have someone call us later that evening to give us an update. No one called. My husband called the next day and they claimed the truck our sectional was on was in an accident. Things happen and we were more than understanding of the situation and they said they estimated the sectional would be in next week. Then next week came and still no call. Again, my husband called them. We were told that they were unloading truck right now, and would give us a call that night. Suprise! No call. He called the next day and 1/3 of our sectional had showed up. We then we 're told we couldn't wait to pick it up with the rest of the pieces or we would be charged an extra fee. Upon asking when they thought that would be, they said they weren't sure and if it wasn't here by the 1st of the year, they would put a rush on it. Then we get a call the next day telling us our entertainment center was in. Too bad that we didn't order an entertainment center though. The gentleman on the phone told my husband that someone would call us the next day with an ETA on the sectional set. It took two days for anyone to call us back. That gentleman called to verify that we had gotten our entire sectional. My husband told him that no, we had only gotten 1/3 of the set and were still waiting for the other pieces. The gentleman told my husband that their computers were messed up and they hoped next week they would have things figured out. I am really dismayed by the lack of customer service we've gotten. If the sectional was not in stock or on back order, I would just rather be told up front about it. I'm sick of the run-around and excuses that I keep getting. I realize that we bought our furniture during the holidays and that complicates things but it isn't hard to call customers and let them know what's going on, or that things have been pushed back. The fact that we have to call every time and every time we get a different story is ridiculous. We won't be shopping for furniture again in the future which is unfortunate because I had already picked out a bedroom set I had liked.
