If you notice the reviews for this store are quite old. So now here's a current review…read more The store was sold. The new owners have really changed the place. It's really is nothing like it used to be and here's why... 1) This place was known far and wide to be a part of the sportsman scene in eagle county. Hunters and fly fishing enthusiasts would flock here and grab licences and gear and ammo and stove fuel etc etc Sadly this is now gone. The sporting goods department looks like a Russian government soup kitchen from the 80's... Nothing on the shelves!!! 2) The inventory has changed from "nearly everything" to ain't got shit. We used to get kids boots, crafts, hobby goods, spray paint, locally made candy, and much more. Now you can buy a candle and some lame greeting cards. If I could give 0 Stars I would. Not sure what the business plan is for this store but it sucks now.

From stationary to home goods to hunting gear, you'll find it here. You'll also find hand-made candy at the counter and a full pharmacy. Thanks to the Nearly Everything Store, I can go an entire weekend without getting in my car even if I find I'm missing a few odds and ends halfway through. Especially handy for me in particular is that they have a respectable selection of model paints - without which I would need to trek down to Scully's in Vail. If you are visiting any of the shops, cafes and restaurants of Downtown Eagle, the Nearly Everything Store is worth a visit.

Fred Groos is hands down the best bootfitter I have ever worked with. My family previously…read morepurchased three pairs of boots from a high-end bootfitting store in the Vail Valley, but I decided to try Sun & Ski--and I am so glad I did. Fred was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate. He listened carefully as I explained the pain I've experienced in ski boots for years--even those from expensive specialty shops. For the first time, I truly felt heard and understood. I have skied my entire life, starting at age four, and I had never known skiing without boot pain. Fred took the time to explore multiple solutions and never once rushed me. He genuinely cared about getting it right. Some shops don't seem to take female skiers seriously, but Fred absolutely did. I hadn't even planned to buy boots that day; I was just browsing. But thanks to Fred's expertise, I ended up purchasing the best boots I've ever owned. I literally cried when I skied in them--no pain and no break-in period. I had resigned myself to the idea that I'd need $1,500 custom boots forever, but Fred found the perfect pair for me for just $600, tax included. Because my experience was so incredible, I insisted my husband return the following weekend to buy his boots from Fred as well. Everyone at Sun & Ski is kind, knowledgeable, and treats customers with genuine care--better than I've ever been treated at far "fancier" stores. We will be buying our boots from Sun & Ski for life. Thank you, Fred. We appreciate you more than you know.

However I was fortunate enough to work with Colby who immediately directed me to a pair of 2023 Men's K2 Thraxis boots. These are killer boots for the 50% off price. Colby was beyond helpful and he was stoked to see these boots go to the right person. All in all a great experience, thanks to Colby!!

Nice outdoor store on the way to aspen in Carbondale. Easy to find and plenty of parking…read more Everything is consignment which is cool. We went here to rent a bear canister and it's $6 a night. They had multiple sizes to choose from and the process of renting and returning was easy. They canisters are old and used and can be tricky to open because of this. However a great deal especially if you forget to bring one to your campsite which you need to have one in aspen.

CLEAR CONSCIENCE Thought I'd give fly fishing a try back in…read moreApril and bought some gear for our Canadian camping trip. I bought a nice Simms vest, Wader boots and Reddington waders. A few days after the purchase I noticed they didn't charge me for the vest. In good conscience I called and paid over the phone. Turned out we were way too busy mountain biking, hiking, and enjoying our travels. To add to the delay, my father died and we hade to get back to Colorado to manage his estate. I finally got to try out all this fishing gear in August. To my disappointment the waders leaked massively. Ugh! Wished I'd have water tested them back in April! Obviously the seller knew they were JUNK and was NOT forthright with Ragged. I tried to return them yesterday and the English accented clerk was delightful. She called the seller and he apparently declined the return, stating it had been too long. Apparently this seller peddles lots of gear there. The friendly clerk defaulted to this corrupt sellers decision. We left very dissatisfied and said they could just dispose of the waders. To which the accented clerk snidely said they would recycle them...hmm? At least I have a a clear conscience about paying for goods they forgot to charge me for. One can only hope others don't fall prey to this Unconscionable dynamic duo! Beware!!!
