This is the absolute best place to get fitted for ski boots - they spent so much time with me and had a huge variety such that I could see what actually worked best for my foot. They did not sell me on the most expensive boot - they did the one that is best for my foot. I've been skiing since I was 3 and loved that the sport is such a big part of my life. I bought new ski boots back East 2 years ago and got shin bang for the first time ever. This January we came out to CO to ski and again my shins were in excruciating pain. I went to a boot fitter in Beaver Creek who said "the boot's not the problem, your body is the problem" ... I was about to give up the sport for good when a friend recommended Outdoor Divas. OMG - it was an amazing experience. Michael made me try on tons of boots. He was methodical in how he went about finding me the PERFECT boot. He explained everything, and spent time fixing even the tiniest little spots of discomfort. Outdoor Divas is a small, unassuming place that targets women skiers. They are generous and kind in sharing their expertise with us. I brought a pair of brand new ski boots to be properly fitted. Mike spent around an hour with me to ensure that my ski experience is not ruined by ill-fitting boots. He encouraged me to come back if the boots are not comfortable. After being forced to part with my old boots and a 10yr relationship, I was reluctant to try even a different brand. However, Mike the master pro boot fitter at Outdoor Divas in Lionshead, Vail CO picked the right boot for me. I have never had such an experience, Mike takes the boot-fitting process to the ultimate level. He is super patient and will have you in the perfect boot. Day one, all day on the slopes and these boots (Rossignol) feel like they were made for my feet, thanks to the custom orthotics and heated insoles. No breaking in period, just straight to LOVE! It happened that I bump into another climber who works here. I knew I ever met her and vice verse when we were at the climbing gyms or something. So it was her who assists me at Outdoor Divas. I purchased another harness as a gift. The staff are so ever friendly and are willing to assist you in any shape or form. Though I cant deny the products they sell can be expensive, if you know what you are looking for, you can get deals from here. If you want though the selection can be limited, go downstairs of the store to see the SALES they have. That's where I purchase the harness at a bargain price. I really had high hopes for this place...what a let-down I knew it would be expen$ive because of the specialty and because of the location. And the prices are bad, but not shameless rip-offs. Whats bad is the selection, the service (pushy, clearly commission-based), and the layout. This is a store for trendy people who are a size 4 and below and who want to look like they are active, sporty outdoors-women. Selection and store layout are terrible, nothing is on sale. Amazing place to shop. I am skier, but also a female skier with gigantic calves. Earlier in the season I went to a place back in NY and had a very unsatisfying experience trying to get fitted for boots. The ladies, and gentleman spent hours trying to find boots that fit me correctly, including making adjustments to other boots they had. They never once made me feel embarrassed for having bigger legs and when ultimately we could not find the correct fit, they gave me information about a place that might be able to help me. I cannot recommend this place more for women shopping for outdoor equipment and apparel in Vail. read more

When I left my prescription sunglasses in their fitting room in September, they immediately mailed them to me in a satin glasses bag, inside a sturdy, "goodr" box. Incredible customer service! I had an unparalleled experience with my boot fit at Divas. Kim spent 3 hours helping me find the right pair of ski boots and not once did I see frustration, decrease in quality, or wavering/signs of settling for a boot. She worked with me until we found what fit right and I am so grateful for her patience. In the end, the boot that worked was ~50% off!! This store is the perfect place for a personalized female ski boot fitting! The staff is knowledgeable about their products and Michael worked with me for around 45 minutes to find the perfect ski boot. I appreciate their personal attention compared to larger ski/ outdoor dealers in Boulder. They also fitted my boot warmers and did a complementary binding adjustment on my skis. Kim even helped carry my skis out to my car. :-) If you are a female in the Front Range area, I highly recommend going to Outdoor Divas for your ski gear. read more

I was so excited to find an outdoor store that specialized in women's gear. I try to support any business that specializes in gear for women in order to support the industry and ensure manufacturers continue to design women specific gear. I was extremely disappointed in my experience with Outdoor Divas. I had planned to buy all new ski gear from them, but after my bad experience with the $500 boots I purchased, I took my business elsewhere. First, I was sold a boot that completely did not meet my needs - it was way too wide and was a boot designed more for a beginner skier rather than an intermediate. I returned several times to the store to ask them to rectify the situation, but they only offered to pad the boot to give me a tighter fit, which did nothing. They even admitted they should not have sold me the boot. Then I found out that the person helping me was a snowboarder, was new to boot fitting and and knew nothing about ski boots. It's no wonder their Denver store closed. $500 wasted as I had to replace the boot the next season as my foot swam around in the boot and had no control of my skis. read more

This place is amazing. Everything a sporty woman would want and more. The staff is knowledgeable & very helpful. I wanted to demo the new skis before I bought them. They got me fitted and applied $75 of my rental fees towards my purchase of skis when all was said and done. They have the best selection and all the cool brands. I always stop in to see all the new & sale items. Since they moved by whole foods, parking actually got pretty tough to find, but at least its free parking! read more

I'm in my 40's and getting back into the "athletic" scene. Outdoor Divas has been instrumental in kick starting my enthusiasm! They offer classes, lectures and guest speakers all relating to women and sports! They have a strong presence in the event scene and have helped sponser many fun and exciting women's races and clinics! Their web sight has information about all of their upcoming activities! I highly recommend this outfit for not only activities where you can meet fellow women recreational athletes, but their staff and merchandise is second to none! I am tired of stores that don't offer correct information and lead me down the wrong path! Even if they don't have my size or product I need ,they will call other retailers or make suggestions! I have found plenty of bargains at Outdoor Divas, but also walk way know I'm supporting a LOCAL business designed by women-centered entrepreneurs. The staff sees this vision and continuously demonstrated a commitment to me and my needs. I love good customer service and have been well taken care of by the Divas over the past 5+ years. Everything I've ever purchased has become an instant favorite including two pairs of skis, ski pants, tri gear, gloves and ski boots. This spring, they closed their Denver location, but the staff has been really great to work with me over the phone and email. They lack the knowledge of a true mountain store and are unable to give good advise regarding appropriate gear purchases. This store sells great high quality gear...expect to pay a premium. I love to support local establishments, but I refuse to support this business. They have TERRIBLE customer service. I have been in multiple times and have either been completely ignored or barely helped. If the store is empty and there are two people working, I expect to be greeted and asked if I need assistance.
