Brother picked this spot before going to see the Dodgers game and let me say it was a good call!!! Had a purro chorizo and bean burrito and it came in a hand made flour tortilla, Delicious!!!! My friend and I were hungry and decided to get a burrito, we had no place in mind so I searched burrito and Nuevo Burrito popped up. So we went there and first glacé was not great but you can never judge a book by its cover. So we ordered to go and the lady made everything fresh in front of us. Now I do understand that Covid-19 has impacted the supply system, but when you order a breakfast burrito with sausage, receiving a chopped up hot dog instead, I have to wonder. Aside from calling a hot dog a sausage (which admittedly, it could be classified as such; however, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that's not far from false advertisement) the beef was too chewy, and the potatoes were undercooked. Authentic Mexican food, soo delicious. I'm very picky and have a hard time finding good real Mexican food. I get the birria plate and it comes with rice and beans. The meat is so flavorful and tender. They also make their tortillas, but I will say that the maíz tortillas are my favorite. The amazing customer service is a huge plus. We found this place by reading Yelp reviews and I'm glad we gave it a try.. located in a hole in the wall This is a very small setting environment so if you go on a Sunday like we did go when they first open. They make homemade corn and flour tortillas and they are super yummy! This is authentic Mexican food if your looking for food like macayo's or Garcia's this is not for you..this place serves up the homemade beans to menudo. And the moms to grandmas are cooking in the kitchen. The only disappointment was the limited seating and they don't serve lengua. We had the menudo which I like white they only had red and machaca con huevos and jamon con huevos and our boys got cheese crisp with rice and beans. Overall I walked out full and satisfied. We stopped here after our hike in Estrella Park Sunday and the place was very busy. We ordered our food at the counter and shortly it was brought to us as soon as each meal was ready. We all were very pleased with our choices as the food was excellent. I ordered a chili relleno and it was delicious. The chili was fresh and flavorful and while the accompanying beans were more liquid than I was used to they were just right with the corn tortillas.
