I was searching for a groomer that would be in a good price range, make my pupper look handsome, but most importantly, I wanted to choose a place that would value Chewy's comfort and happiness. Winston, came out looking great. He is a large Goldendoodle that is rambunctious. So I applaud them for handling him today. He came out fluffy and smelling good. I was very impressed! They told me they couldn't cut my dogs nails, because she was aggressive and stressed out. I've had her nails clipped at multiple groomers in the past, and I am not sure what is different here. I can't go against their policies and respect the rules etc but they did charge me and told me that they would refund me but then they couldn't figure out how to do a refund so they said that they will give it to me when they figure out how to do it. I don't think you should charge for a service that you can't complete. I also think that if you're going to take someone's money, you should know how to give it back to them. Started going there last year. It was $100 for a full size goldendoodle. The price kept increasing, usually claimed that he had some matting they needed to brush out. Ok, fine. Now they have some new pricing and would do it by the pound like a piece of meat. Quoted $145-150! This is a year! Went up $50 in a year! That's another whole small dog worth! I won't be going back there. They always do a great job though. Too bad they priced themselves out of business. Also had an appointment and they said they would keep it on the same day but could no longer guarantee the time. And we are expected to drop off and pickup at exact time on that day. Well they did everything but actually cut and groom my dog. When I made rhe appnt. I was clear that he needed a cut. I booked the appnt and when I took him in, they ran through their packages and declined to tell me that they do not cut on the first visit. $100 later my dog was returned to me without the only service I had needed above all. We had such an amazing experience with A Clip Above. We have a 6 month golden doodle, Uncle. It was his first grooming experience and they reassured us as well as made Uncle feel right at ease. Our pups came home smelling and looking great. This was our first visit here and we scheduled a second appointment for our doggos in a couple months. I love that they offer tier groomers based on groomers who have been grooming for awhile or have just started. We paid $210 without tip for two dogs. Would've been five stars but not crazy about the receptionist who checked me out. But Syndney was the groomer and she is magic. My dog has not been socialized - just abused- and is a rescue dog. He is terrified of everyone and growls at everyone and he loved, loved Syndney. He hid behind her because he did not want to go out to the car. (He hates cars, too.). He looks beautiful AND most importantly he was not afraid. I cannot recommend the grooming there enough! Best experience ever read more

I am definitely an anxious dog mom, so if I trust someone with my little man, that's a big deal. I definitely trust the staff and groomers at A Clip Above. I have come here at least 10 times and only once was I slightly dissatisfied with the cut, and it still was better than most other places I've tried. Rambo always comes back smelling nice, coat soft and silky, without fly-aways or continued shedding. Unlike some other reviews on here, I have never had a problem with the cost; they have always been up front and consistent with the price. It was our first time at A Clip Above and I am so pleased with the staff (even with the COVID situation) AMANDA was gunner's dog groomer and she did amazing. He was super soft and trimmed up in all the right places :) not to mention they were true to timing and that is why we left our previous groomer because they took sometime 8 hours with my dog. Not a clip above 3 hours and 45 minutes! Amazing timing! The prices are a little high, but I'm okay paying more to know that my dog is in a good place! Great passionate employees; lovely environment and convenient location. They actually did great job for my puppy. Their workers deserve lots of respect. but I really don't like the way they deal business. If you never visit them, please aware my experience: I have big fluffy Samoyed with tons of hair who needs lots of work. Usually I pay at least $85.00 for him to get fully washed and groomed. I have moved to this neighborhood for awhile and finally decide to try a new place for my dog. I found them online and called 2 weeks before. After they check their price book, they told me it will be $80.00 for Samoyed and possibly another $10 $20. It is still acceptable. Then this morning I took him in for the appointment. Even only ask for trimming on his belly butt and arm only, they change the price to $120.00. Since we already here, I still think it is an okay offer. After I dropped him off and left for work, I got another call from the store. They told me they won't give him a haircut unless I pay another $20. Otherwise they will just do the wash and brush only. I already lost respect and energy to argue anything and I really have no words to say. I can only accept the deal. I was expecting a bill for $80 to $100 then finished with $160+. Paying extra when I aware ahead is okay. But the way they did is really unrespectful and unethical. I was reading the reviews and someone was being told $160 something then end up paying $300.00 by the end. If this is the way they do business then I wish them good luck. Last thing, I recommend Bark N Wash for big dog owners. They charge $85 for large hairy dogs. And it is flat fee. They do the work as good as them. read more
