Ive got 2 Golden Retrievers and a yellow lab. I use to take them to Petsmart or Petco for their regular wash. They would come back looking better than they went in but it never lasted, they would smell again the next day and their shedding almost appeared to be worse when they came home. After being frustrated with this continued experience I decided to give a small groom shop a shot . . . . . still no luck, they chopped their coats, seemed to strip them of the coat they needed and the grooming area was all the way in this small back room where i couldnt see but could only hear dogs screaming and not happy back there. While at the dog park a few weeks ago I saw a gorgeous Golden and a Husky, both looked to have just walked out of the show ring!!! I asked the lady where she had taken them and she said A CLIP ABOVE!! She said "This is the best place ive ever taken my dogs and Ill never go anywhere else!!!" She also told me it had been a few weeks since she had taken them!! I was shocked as they looked so amazing still!! I right away pulled out my phone and looked them up, i was pleased to see so many good reviews and happy people that i made the appointment right away. The receptionist was helpful, friendly and was able to get us in that weekend. This was almost 2 weeks ago that I took them in and they still smell great and look amazing!! No shedding, smelling fresh, shiny clean coat and feel amazing! I definitely had a very great experience at A Clip Above. When i walked in it smelled great, the shop looked very clean and inviting. The groomers were extremely friendly, happy to explain their serivices and just seemed happy to do their jobs. . . this is something I dont see very often when i take my dogs into be groomed, usually they are rushed and too busy to give me the time of day. These groomers were all smiles and made me feel very comfortable to leave my pups with them. I was extremely happy with the job they did as well, the dogs looked cleaned up but very natural when i got them back, they had cute bandanas and truly looked like they walked out of the show room, just exactly the way the other dogs in the dog park had looked that day! Most of all my wife was ecstatic! In conclusion I will never ever take my dogs anywhere other than A Clip Above and Ill tell everyone I know!! Highly highly recommend them!!!!! read more

This company has zero respect and will stop at nothing to save a very sad truthful review . Make up dates and lies and they make threats to me and say I did it ! Truth is they are unprofessional at every level and they messed up on multiple grooms and because of offered discounts to make me happy . They forgot about my dog and made up multiple lies as to why and couldn't keep it straight so it was health emergency or flat tire but they forgot him . Then next cut yes I gave them a chance they barely cut him so I politely asked what cut they did she then offered to touch up cut on sat . Owner Shay called me Friday yelling at me scared my daughter alot saying they would not fix it telling me I'm destroying his business etc then falsified dated etc . Saying they asked me to leave store they never did . But I said I would never come as I'm very uncomfortable Now as this owner has Called me . They will stop at nothing they said they filed police report because of me but I was defending myself on a phone lol ..remember he's the one that called me yelling first . which I'm so glad because I will be as well . and I'm very concerned at the level he will go , Find another groomer this one as you see will bring unnecessary stress and drama . I called to ask about pricing and schedule an appointment for my miniature schnauzer. The price over the phone was $50 and for your first time here they give you a free add on. When I first arrived I was greeted and they had spa music playing which immediately made the place feel more relaxing and it created a soothing atmosphere for all the nervous dogs or cats. I filled out a simple form and Cassie came over and introduced herself and asked about the cut I wanted and how my dog is normally while she gets groomed. I choose the deep conditioner treatment as my free add on and they said it would be 2-3 hours. They called me 10 minutes before she was ready and once I got there they said the price was $55 and I explained I was quoted $50 so they granted that price. Cassie did a wonderful job on Mia Bella and they also gave her a cute bandana and she smelled so good and I'm pretty sure they sprayed doggy perfume which was nice. I drove 30 minutes to come here and as much I wish they were closer to my home I will definitely come back. I will be requesting Cassie from now on :-) read more

I have been taking my dog to A Clip Above for months and i have never been happier with the service and our groomer. My Lucy had a very nasti haircut from the last place i took noher and after it grew long again i took her to A CLIP ABOVE and Natasha did an amazing job on her . She looked soooo cute that i couldn't stop kissing her . She always smells sooooo good for a week after her grooming and they alway alway do an amazing job . They always listen to what i say and they make notes just to make sure thay do as i say . Our groomer NATASHA is amazing and i always feel safe living my furry baby with her . All of the staff has been very nice and friendly to us and i always feel welcome here . We have been coming to A Clip Above for over 5 years and will go nowhere else! AMAZING staff!! You can really tell how much they enjoy their jobs and love the animals. I am very picky about my little Shih Tzu and how she's taken care of. They are always patient with me even though I've decided to ask for many different hair styles on her! They are loving with her and so creative! I have used multiple different groomers here including the owner and they are all really consistent, this is something that I haven't seen at places in the past. Usually you don't know what you're getting, here regardless of the groomer you know you are getting a good job!! I have seen a few other reviewers say that they change the price on you when you pick up, nonsense, it's always been the same for me and they really do business honestly with care! The service at A Clip Above is excellent! My little furry girl, Domino, has been coming here for nearly 4 years. It took me two years to find a place where she was comfortable and not stressed. She now enjoys going for her doggy "salon" visits. Last year I acquired a Bichon puppy and I immediately called A Clip Above to get him started on grooming. The groomers were so attentive in making sure my Bichon puppy acclimated to the grooming process slowly, and suggested I bring him in every two weeks for a wash and hand scissoring so as not to stress him when it came time to use the clippers. The acclimation process took about two months and I am so pleased as Beau never experienced the grooming stress that Domino did as a puppy. This is the place you want to take your furry friends as all the groomers are very attentive and do an excellent job. read more

I take my husky-malamute mix, Newton, to A Clip Above, and they are absolutely fantastic. No matter which groomer we get, they always do an amazing job - his coat looks great every time, and he's genuinely excited to see them. I've been to quite a few groomers before finding A Clip Above, and this is the only place where Newton is actually excited to get a bath. On top of that, one day I was a couple of hours late picking Newton up due to an emergency at work, and they didn't just keep him safe - they looked after him and gave him extra love, which meant a lot to me. Not going to get in a pissin' match with the owner Lindsay, but let's be clear and truthful in your response! Your staff asked how I was doing when I walked in (not stormed in, as you weren't even in the in lobby), I simply said not good and I wasn't happy. Get your facts and story straight! At no time was the word "moron" used... not a term I use. Instead of making excuses for your staff's mistakes, and insisting your staff called both phone numbers, perhaps you should focus on a solution to the problem so it doesn't continue to happen. This was not the first time I've experienced this issue. It would also be beneficial for owner and staff to learn customer service skills. read more

We LOVE this place!! We have been coming for over 5 years, cant believe its taken me this long to review them! We come with all three of our pups, a very needy Yorkshire terrier, a sweet senior golden retriever and our new addition goldendoodle puppy! They do an excellent job on all three! The groomers really show that they care, always listen to our needs and my favorite thing is our pups pull us in the door! They absolutely love it there and love going in! In the past we have taken them to other groomers and we have to pull them in the door, so at A Clip Above we know they are being treated right and love their groomers!! I have been using the same groomer for 10 years, but she raised her prices too much so I went out looking for a new place for my babies. We found A Clip Above and immediately liked the feel inside the shop. They were all very friendly and the dogs in the shop at the time seemed very calm and comfortable. We decided to give them a try and boy am I glad we did. Our dogs never looked so good! And they seemed far less stressed out than they were when we picked them up from the old shop. a Clip Above is not cheap, but I consider them very reasonable. It takes a lot of time, energy and love to groom dogs and I absolutely believe we got every pennies worth! Take your puppy here! read more

Highly reccomend the grooming here!! Weve been coming for almost a year now and happy every time! Lindsay has always taken such good care of us!!! She has a wonderful staff of groomers and such a friendly girl up front! Weve been to many places where the groomers were just not friendly, here they are as friendly as they are skilled!!! They really do a nice job on my goldendoodle and my shih tzu!! They definitely book up so you have to schedule in advance but well worth it!! They even give a free toothbrushing if you reschedule your next appointment!! Great place!! read more

We just moved here and have tried a few groomers near our area with no luck in quality. We took our dogs to A Clip Above last week for the first time and we are looking no further!!! They are a little far from where we live but the reviews were so good we had to try them. They did such a great job on both of our dogs. We have a Golden Retriever and a tea cup maltese. Both came out looking better than we have ever seen them look!!! They got all of the shedding hair out of Misty our Golden and Angel looked so adorable! We will definitely be back here!!! read more
