Our three-year-old daughter needed glasses for severe farsightedness essentially going blind in one eye. We tried three different eye places until we were recommended a child's view. Here's what we loved. Full hour was spent second finding the perfect fit. Detailed explanations hundred she gave us she could understand. Fun games for kids to play while they wait including a video game cabinet Friendly professional staff. read more

We love A Child's View! One of kiddos needed glasses and we were recommended to go to A Child's View by our eye doctor and we were so glad we went with them. Their place is right off the 5 fwy exit off Lake Forest. Walking in, there are games/toys in front that kids/siblings can play with while waiting to get fitted for glasses. Near the back half of the store, the walls are all lined with various types of glasses/sunglasses to choose from. Our kiddo has what we call, a zest for life :) , so we needed to get a very durable pair of glasses that would still look fashionable. The staff there gave us wonderful options and we were able to settle on a pair. Our kiddo gets so many compliments every time they are out and about. They are communicative, work fast, and great with children. We will certainly be back and recommend them! read more

A Child's View Glasses in Laguna Hills makes getting children glasses an easy and positive experience! Parking is free and easy as is access right off the 5 freeway right south of where the 405 and 5 freeways meet off of the Lake Forest Drive exit. You can even make an appointment and depending on what you choose, you can wait and get your child's glasses that same day. What won me over was the huge variety of kids glasses that they have in the store. They have all sizes of glasses from toddlers up to teenagers. My daughter was impressed with the large variety of choices of children's glasses which was a lot more than at her optometrist's office as well as at Lens Crafters. What is also fun is they have an arcade machine with tons of games and a rocking horse for your child to play with while they wait (or it's great for siblings to keep them occupied if only one child needs glasses) All of the employees I have dealt with here are friendly and nice manner with children. They weren't a good deal (since they are out of network with my VSP eye insurance it was more expensive than the glasses my daughter got before elsewhere), however the great selection made up for that. read more

Can't say enough good stuff about this place. We were lucky enough to go in on a day Frank was working and he exceeded all expectations. We told him we were going on vacation with our daughter and asked if we could get the glasses in a few days before so she would have them for the trip. To put this in context my daughter is 2 years old, is near sighted and this was her first pair of glasses. Frank told us he would do everything he could to get them ready before our trip. Turns out he talked the lab into getting the glasses done early and then drove there on his personal time to get the glasses before our vacation. If you need glasses for your child this the spot. Thank you Frank. read more

We are so thankful for A Child's View because they helped with our daughter's glasses. Our orders always arrived super quick (since she broke her first pair) and the staff is so friendly and great with children. They've been around for a while and I'd recommend them to anyone that needs to get glasses for their little ones. read more

App time doesnt work.We waited 27 min. We bought glasses 3 times for this location. Second time there was a small issue for this reason but it's ok we had a good service so we decided a new one 3rd times for there but same problem it happened. Never buy it again. read more

If it's your child's first pair of glasses, there isn't a better place to go. They are a bit on the pricey side. But for a child's first glasses with a perfect fit that needs to have forgiving frames, options between head band vs ear locks, etc this place is totally worth it. Also they have immense patience and know the knack of advising elementary school aged children about proper eyewear care. Overall, fantastic! read more

I have two children who have needed glasses since toddlerhood, and a Child's View has been a lifesaver for our family for the past six years. When my son first needed glasses, I called all around to find optometrists that sold glasses for toddlers. Most only had a single frame available for kids and nothing for children so young. Multiple optometrists referred me to a Child's View. I am so thankful for a Child's View. They have a huge selection of frames, even for very young children. Their custom ear loops have been fantastic. My kids are able to do parkour and martial arts and PE without worrying about their glasses coming off. The flexible hinges they offer are also incredible for kids- preventing the loosening that happens when kids overextend arms of the frame. The lens options, like transitions, have been great for my outdoors-loving son. And the warranties are excellent, with a Child's View repairing or replacing broken frames for a nominal fee. The staff are just the best. They are always so kind and friendly and helpful, whether we have an appointment or walk in. They also are so great at helping figure out what's covered by eye insurance policies. Seriously, such a lifesaver in navigating glasses for kids. read more

We were recommended to get my son's glasses at A Child's View. They have a wonderful staff and are very knowledgeable. Their selection of frames is very large. They also have a warranty program where you can switch lenses out or get broken frames fixed for a nominal fee. I highly recommend! read more

What a great establishment for your child's needs! My daughter was diagnosed with a stigmatism in one eye, so she would require glasses. She's two years old and naturally, as a parent of a toddler, I was anxious about choosing glasses for her and overall what the experience would be like. This place made it such a breeze and so painless for my daughter. It's such child and family friendly office, with toys and a large open space. There are so many frames to try on and choose from. Also, each of their employees are not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also very patient and helpful when it comes to choosing the best frames! Making an appointment was easy and communication with their office was smooth too. I appreciated all of their assistance during this transition for my daughter! read more

We have three kids who all need glasses and we have been going to child's view for over ten years and have gone through many pairs of glasses especially with two young boys and have never once been disappointed with the service we have received from Child's View. Robert and Julie are simply some of the best people you can work with and genuinely care about their customers and it shows by the number of long term customers they have who continue to go back for service. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

Despite some initial frustrations with the fitting process that required multiple trips, I am happy that A Child's View is willing to proactively address any customer's concerns and frustration. Being someone that has worn glasses in the past, I was initially frustrated and confused as to why getting a pair of glasses to fit correctly for my daughter required so many back and fourths. However, after expressing my frustration, Robert reached out to me to explain that fitting glasses for children is often an iterative process that involves a lot of trial and error and that their expertise lies in their willingness to help kids navigate through this lengthy process, and not in their ability to determine the exact specifications on the front end. Although I'm still not 100% convinced that fitting of glasses for children is much different than adults, I defer to their expertise and is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, because of their willingness to work with your child. Ultimately, if your child needs glasses, A Child's View is a great place to go to try to find the solution for your needs; just be mentally prepared for numerous trips and adjustments. read more

This place is amazing. The people genuinely care about their customers (the kids) and go above and beyond for making sure the glasses selected were appropriate. We were able to get my son's glasses with lenses in 5 days. Thank you again! read more

So sweet and wonderful with kids. I would highly recommend. So looking forward to getting our babies frames.

Back in November I had a prescription filled with a new dr because we changed insurance. My daughters eyes were still crossing so they promised to honor the redo after 90 days. I struggled to find a dr who could get my daughters eyes to go straight. While I understand it's been 6 months... my daughter has been unable to use the lenses that were filled by a child's view and getting a new appointment has taken at least 6-8 weeks with the pandemic. The second dr script I took in they changed their story and would only honor 1 redo. When I decided to get another opinion they wouldn't do a redo at all. After being a loyal customer and buying 5 pairs of glasses and spending 1-2k you would think these people would do a little extra for the kids having a special situation. Life isn't as simple to figure everything out in 90 days. I'm a mom of 3 toddlers, juggling a birth injury, selling a house, and my kids. After all it's my problem and I'll take my daughter somewhere else. read more

We LOVE a child's view! My daughter feels so comfortable with the staff and is always so excited to visit. Even my non glasses wearing son loves coming cause they make him feel welcomed too! My husband has even had them fit his glasses properly (haha). They're also friendly and great people. We adore Robert :) They have a great array of frames and the prices are great for the level of quality and handling you get :) read more

The best place for children's eyeglasses! Robert truly exemplifies why small business are so important. He takes ownership and makes each customer feel special. My 4 year old needed glasses for the first time and had a -12 prescription. We felt like terrible parents for not knowing that he needed glasses. Robert was very kind and walked us through the whole process. The turn around time for the other place was 4-6weeks but Robert knew that my son's vision was urgent and he was able to finish a lot sooner! We are so thankful that our son was able to enjoy the Christmas lights! Robert and the staff provide a very personalized care and craftsmanship. I highly recommend a Child's View. read more

30 years of top notch service and consistency here. Always the same faces looking out for your best interest. Robert and crew are true professionals, very friendly and knowledgeable. I've been coming here since I was a 7 year old kid and keep managing to find my way back here when all other big box chain stores give me the run around. Will be bringing my kids here for any and all future needs. read more

Our Ophthalmologist recommended this wonderful shop to order glasses from. They had a Pac-Man machine, toys, music boxes, puzzles and lots of other things available to distract the kiddos while the parents took care of business. They had the best selection I have ever seen of childrens glasses. Both of my girls wear glasses and this was hands down the best experience we've ever had shopping for them. Actually, this was the best shopping experience I've ever had with kids in tow. The staff was was kind and they knew how to talk to kids. This is the best spot for children's glasses. The owner here is truly amazing! My daughter all of a sudden needed glasses after turning 4. The first place we went to wasn't knowledgeable and my daughter's glasses weren't a good fit. Once here we choose a pair that stays on her and a lenses that work better for her. My daughter now puts her glasses on without being asked to. We will definitely be back once she needs new frames. read more

I'll echo what my sons said when they put glasses on for the first time and could finally see: WOW! That's how I feel about this place. Robert is absolutely amazing with kids and really gave them the confidence in wearing glasses for the first time. My kids are super excited about wearing glasses (and seeing!) and Robert and Julia were absolutely wonderful with them! They really know the kids and what's important to them, and they also know what's important to the parents (cost, insurance , etc) and work well with both. I can't say enough how happy we were with the selection, price, and the service! We went to quite a few different places to check out before settling here and none of them checked all the boxes for everything we needed, wanted, or required. A Child's View has it all! If your kid needs glasses, this is the place to be at. read more

Amazing!!! Julie helped us get my 2 year old twins fitted for glasses. She was so patient and nice! I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs to get glasses for their kids! Great selection and wonderful people!! read more

My son got his glasses here when he had just turned 2. He has a very extreme prescription of -18 and -19. His pediatric ophthalmologist was extremely impressed with the glasses A Child View's lab made for him. The glasses that I bought him at 2 he still wears at 4.5 and they have held up the entire time. I was originally pained by the price for the glasses, but considering they have lasted 2.5 years, and over that time we have gone in every six or so weeks to get them adjusted, I now know the price was a total bargain. I love this place so much that despite moving to North County San Diego, I still drive the 45 minutes there every six or so weeks to get my son's glasses adjusted. Robert is awesome, and my son loves talking to him and considers him a friend. I am very grateful to A Child's View and I would recommend it to anyone! read more

I love this place. I've been taking my daughter to the Brea location since she was 2. I was sad that they closed. I was upset that I have to drive to Laguna now, but I had a wonderful experience this past Saturday. Frank helped us and he was amazing. It made me forget about the drive. We are lucky that our optometrist recommended A Childs View. The professionalism displayed here exceeds that of the most recent place I, myself, purchased my own frames and lenses. Robert was friendly and helpful, and patiently worked to find the "right" frames, for fit and style. The lenses were ready in only a few days, and we left the shop as happy campers with princess stickers and a stamp on the hand. The atmosphere is calm and kid friendly, with toys to distract siblings. read more

So friendly and helpful! This is the ONLY place I will ever go to get my kids glasses!!! My 2 year old needed glasses and I happen upon A Child's View after several unsuccessful trips to other places where he wouldn't even let us put frames on for a few seconds. I was so discouraged but when we got to A Child's View they knew how to work with him and it was such a painless experience. They were incredibly patient with him and also took the time to teach me how to get my son to wear the glasses once we got home. They had tons of tips and it has shocked me that the tips totally worked. He's had them for 3 days and he is wearing them without a problem. Seriously amazing! read more

Came in because my eyeglasses' screw came off. Wasn't sure if I can purchase a screw to replace it with. Julie took my glasses and was very helpful and friendly, and fixed it right away. Will definitely go back here if my kids ever need any glasses! Thanks Julie! read more

This place was fantastic when it came to picking out my 4 year old's glasses. Julie was patient and helped pick frames that complimented my son's face. We got there right when it opened and were out within 25 minutes. She checked our insurance coverage, explained pricing clearly, and helped us feel comfortable with the purchase. Since these glasses were for my son, I was super concerned that they would break quickly and we would be responsible for the full cost of a replacement but within the first year they offer low-cost replacement parts and fixes. My two younger children enjoyed playing with the toys and the staff was courteous to our entire family. My son's glasses were ready for pick up within 10 days and we had an equally great experience picking them up and getting them fitted. My son is super excited for his new glasses and I give A Child's View a lot of the credit for that. read more
