I was there for late evening dinner and early morning for breakfast I actually loved it. The food is fresh shepherd salad was fresh, stuff is so friendly Anya and Surab was so sweet. I definitely recommend! Such cool spot in the neighborhood and they have a parking lot.

Went there on a heat-wave day for early lunch. Didn't have A/C on yet indoor. So we sat outdoor. Good thing there was a breeze. The Mixed grill was very good, though the chicken was just a tad dry. The lamb adana and lamb chops were perfect. The seafood linguine was very good. The drinks were a bit artificial, and not made from fresh fruits.

A salad and a "Frappuccino " insane..... also there is a tip in your bill then they give you a suggestion for tipping again. Watch out

Hello Mr. sedat. In response to your rude response: I actually do go shopping at supermarkets. $23 for a bunch of Romain lettuce and a few tomatoes are NOT market prices. For a low quality restaurant on ave U and Coney Island Avenue this is a joke. I am not even talking about the $8 add on chicken pieces that was cold and had a bad odor. I rather pay $28 for a salad at Opera on Emmons Avenue WITH a better view. Lastly. As a business owner if you're going to respond, you should use proper grammar, professionalism. Supermarkets** Then*** "You can see happens" just doesn't make sense. Thank you though! Much luck to your thriving business.

First time coming here and glad I did because the food is very delicious and flavorful i definitely would come back here and I definitely would recommend this place to all my friends and fellow yelpers as well

The bill with 20% tip already included for a party of 6. Is that normal?
    Robert G.

Went there with some guests a total of 6, they automatically charged 20% tip, I was under the impression that party's over 6 would have a tip added to the bill. I would have left a tip anyway and almost gave them two tips. Food was ok and so was the service. But just ok. And the whole week we've been going out with larger then parties of 6 and they seemed to be the only ones that did this is this the policy?

Excellent services but the food is very expensive. I recommend the penne vodka, which was amazing! The mushroom soup wasn't creamy like it states in the menu and it was bland. The restaurant also has a photo booth where you can take pictures with a floral background. They set it up with light fixtures too

First at all there is copy from menu Sirloin BURGER Beef sirloin burger in sesame bun, tomato, lettuce, sauted onions served with coleslaw and crispy french fries $17.00 . I ordered pick up and at home discover it's no coleslaw, no sautéed onions, simple bun. Burger was well done instead of medium. And cost me 17$$. Don't waste your money and buy across the street from McDonald from dollar menu's

An amazing place for dinner, there are so many options from pasta to fish to meat, they might be able to cut down their menu. The service here is always great, I mentioned it was my birthday and they put candle light on my branzini! Thank you to the chefs! An amazing place to celebrate birthday parties or have a nice dinner since they started doing live music on the weekends. Thank you!

You…read morewould miss it on busy Coney Island Avenue if you weren't looking for it -- the only reason I did was because I was checking for baking supplies at the nearby Ideal Supermarket. The only thing that betrays the hidden nature of Dunya Kabab House is the brilliant red sign. Upon closer inspection, you can see a warm dining area, glass partition to see "where the magic happens" in the kitchen behind, and the many articles plastered showing their unique take on Afghani food. I bookmarked the spot to come back to, and within the week, I came back and ordered takeout for the dish most fellow reviewers raved about -- the Uzbeki Qabuli Pulao. When I got home and opened the bag, I was pleasantly surprised to find a small side salad and the dish I recognised from a visit to another nearby restaurant specialising in Uzbeki food -- the plov! The rice was really well seasoned and the lamb shank was so tender it fell off the bone. Everything was really flavourful and well balanced, even for take-out. Unlike the other place, this plov was still sweet without being cloyingly so. I had such good impression that I'm excited to return in the future and try their other dishes, since I heard *everything* Dunya Kebab House does is impeccable.

I also highly recommend the firnee, a decadent custard with pistachios--could honestly eat it all day. The service was fast and excellent, and the restaurant has a wonderfully welcoming feel, with lovely decorative touches and striking wall art. It's also super affordable for the quality and portion size--this is definitely going to become a go-to for lunch and dinner in the neighborhood for me. Don't miss it!

I ordered the Journey to Baku salad, the Turkish bread, and the Guru Khingal. The salad needed a pinch of salt, but there was a shaker on the table and with that addition, it was a decent refreshing appetizer. It's sort of a spread so I would recommend ordering some bread to eat with it. The bread came out steaming hot and smelling amazing. It was soft and fluffy on the inside and delicious. I took the extra home and ate it all immediately when I got there. Delicious bread. The Guru Khingal is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten in New York City. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, as I have never eaten this type of food before. The tender, handcut pasta seems to be layered with flavorful lamb fat like the most decadent possible buttered noodles and the ground lamb topping is rich and perfectly seasoned. The yogurt sauce gives the dish balance. It's a fairly large portion that could easily be shared between two. I highly recommend this spot, the glowing reviews are not exaggerating at all. I often like to try new and unusual restaurants, and sometimes I enjoy them mostly for the novelty. That was not the case at Village Cafe. My meal here was delicious and I am eager to return, even with the 75 minute commute from north Brooklyn.

I felt like I was inside someone's home and felt welcomed and comfortable. Not loud and well lit. Service (5/5): We came at an off hour during the weekend around 1:30pm there was still around 6 parties dining in. The staff provided good recommendations and good service. When asked for water without any lemon slices, they provided bottled water at no extra cost! Food: (4/5) - rated New York Times top 100 Best Restaurants in New York City in 2025 Every dish came with a small cup of sour cream / Tzatziki based sauce that went with every dish. This was a must and this was mastered very well. Kutaby with chicken and lamb (4/5) - we ordered one each but the lamb was far superior than the chicken. Guru Hingal (4/5) - served in a warmed bowl with a lid in a bed of soft pasta and minced lamb. The pasta reminded me of chow fun (Chinese rice flat noodles) and then some seasoned minced lamb. While overall there were flavors in there, it was still lacked flavors and required to be drowned in the Tzatziki sauces or perhaps a order of table hot sauce. Finally we got the Lamb Lulya Kebab (5/5): this was by far the best dish of the meal! The meat was so wonderfully seasoned throughout, juicy, and complemented well with the rice, onions, and tomato based dip. The wraps themselves were way too small to enjoy using hands so we definitely reconstructed on our plates and attempts with our hands.

You order on the sidewalk via a kiosk and choose your protein (chicken, beef, or mixed), served as a wrap, sandwich, or in a box. I got the chicken box and of the three available sides (salad, yellow rice, fries) chose the rice and sides. The most delicious garlic cream sauce is drizzled over everything, though you can get extra sauce for $1 if you want more than just a drizzle. You can also get some spicy sauce for the same price, which does not come standard with the box. I didn't try the spicy stuff, but I would next time. The rice and the crunchy, shoestring-style spiced fries were great, but of course the biggest star of the box was the ridiculously tender chicken. It reminded me of halal street meat, but it's maybe even juicier and more succulent. Minor notes: The chicken was slightly, just slightly, over salted. Don't wait too long to eat the fries, which lose their luster pretty fast (as fries tend to do).

He was unprofessional, aggressive and extremely rude. He started phasing back and forth and screaming that "You need to pay me tip". Bcoz of "tip" this man person became very angry and frustrated. If the delivery person was apologetic and kind the story would have been very different but unfortunately I had to report him. Certainly this kind of behavior and attitude is unacceptable. I immediately complained to Uber Eats and then called the store and asked for the manager but the owner of the store Mr Sadiq got on the line was very apologetic. The owner sounded like a very humble and polite person. He said he will take very strict action against this delivery person and advise me to call the store directly and order from there and ask for him. I have enjoyed Beyti food and service but now with these two incidents involving "a tip" I am very disappointed and might not want to order from this place.
