I was there for late evening dinner and early morning for breakfast I actually loved it. The food is fresh shepherd salad was fresh, stuff is so friendly Anya and Surab was so sweet. I definitely recommend! Such cool spot in the neighborhood and they have a parking lot.

Went there on a heat-wave day for early lunch. Didn't have A/C on yet indoor. So we sat outdoor. Good thing there was a breeze. The Mixed grill was very good, though the chicken was just a tad dry. The lamb adana and lamb chops were perfect. The seafood linguine was very good. The drinks were a bit artificial, and not made from fresh fruits.

A salad and a "Frappuccino " insane..... also there is a tip in your bill then they give you a suggestion for tipping again. Watch out

Hello Mr. sedat. In response to your rude response: I actually do go shopping at supermarkets. $23 for a bunch of Romain lettuce and a few tomatoes are NOT market prices. For a low quality restaurant on ave U and Coney Island Avenue this is a joke. I am not even talking about the $8 add on chicken pieces that was cold and had a bad odor. I rather pay $28 for a salad at Opera on Emmons Avenue WITH a better view. Lastly. As a business owner if you're going to respond, you should use proper grammar, professionalism. Supermarkets** Then*** "You can see happens" just doesn't make sense. Thank you though! Much luck to your thriving business.

First time coming here and glad I did because the food is very delicious and flavorful i definitely would come back here and I definitely would recommend this place to all my friends and fellow yelpers as well

The bill with 20% tip already included for a party of 6. Is that normal?
    Robert G.

Went there with some guests a total of 6, they automatically charged 20% tip, I was under the impression that party's over 6 would have a tip added to the bill. I would have left a tip anyway and almost gave them two tips. Food was ok and so was the service. But just ok. And the whole week we've been going out with larger then parties of 6 and they seemed to be the only ones that did this is this the policy?

Excellent services but the food is very expensive. I recommend the penne vodka, which was amazing! The mushroom soup wasn't creamy like it states in the menu and it was bland. The restaurant also has a photo booth where you can take pictures with a floral background. They set it up with light fixtures too

First at all there is copy from menu Sirloin BURGER Beef sirloin burger in sesame bun, tomato, lettuce, sauted onions served with coleslaw and crispy french fries $17.00 . I ordered pick up and at home discover it's no coleslaw, no sautéed onions, simple bun. Burger was well done instead of medium. And cost me 17$$. Don't waste your money and buy across the street from McDonald from dollar menu's

I wish I had taken pictures of all of the appetizers but I was too busy enjoying the company!! I have been here a couple times with large groups (8-10+). You would never believe this place used to be a Burger King. The owner has done an incredible job renovating this place and the food is delicious, from the appetizers to the desserts. Service is also top notch and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Also huge clean bathroom and a parking lot! The holiday decorations are so festive and you really feel like you're having a home cooked meal. Can't wait to go back again.

My husband LOVED the burek, but then they totally changed it and now it's just gone. The food is still delicious, but unpredictable of what we can / will order. The new space is beautiful and open and airy, but sadly the service has dipped. This place used to be almost too fast, we were in and out and we consistently knew we could come here and get out in a very timely manner. But now I literally had to flag down our waitress and I still didn't get her attention, another waitress came over to help us get our check. We also didn't get checked on at all, luckily our food was good and right. The table next to us didn't get greeted for water or anything so they had to flag down the guy delivering food to get a waitress. I thinkkk it may be because the wait staff is servicing here and the location next store but it's really impacted the experience. Totally understand that a lot of places are understaffed, but we've never experienced this before Miriam we love you, but pleaseeeeee stop changing the menu.

It's super cozy inside, and they also give you pillows to sit on. Our server was really friendly and gave us great recommendations. We ordered a few different things to share for our party of two: - Bacon wrapped dates (5/5) so good!!! - Short ribs (5/5) I actually don't usually eat beef but these were so good and not dry. The orzo on the side also balanced it out well. - Kale salad (5/5) This seemed like a simple salad but it was so yummy and dressed well. The pine nuts tasted good with this too! - Vegan fruit sundae (2/5) Sadly this was the only thing that missed the mark. I didn't like the raisins and the almonds didn't really work well with everything but that was just me. The sorbet was also pretty sour. The best thing about this was the white cream on top (it tasted like real cream)

Dessert was nice as well, I think the only disappointing item was the Spanish Pitza which we both didn't like. Very nice space, aesthetically pleasing. On a Friday evening, my friend and I came in as walk-ins and got a spot at the bar. The space is a bit tight, but it works if you don't make a reservation ahead of time. I was pretty hungry, and everything we ordered was more than enough food. To start, we had the Whipped Ricotta ($14), Muhammara ($14), and Chicken Shawarma Hummus ($18). Absolutely loved every dip, which were all different in its own ways that I can't even choose a favorite. The ricotta was a sweet one that gave a nice contrast from the savory spices of the other two. I liked how much chicken they added for the hummus too, so you're getting almost a whole meal. You'll definitely need extra pita for all this, which does fill you up. We did also get a Radicchio Salad ($19) for some greens plus a Beef Kofta Skewer ($20) for some meat. Both of these dishes were solid, but could pass on them next time. Definitely recommend any of the mezze and hummus here; it's all you need. This is a really great date spot or group dinner. Not my favorite muhamara Ricotta - very creamy and smooth, almost like a sweet cream cheese or creamy condensed milk. A bit nostalgic Short ribs - a little sweet, nice balance of flavor profile with the meat, vegetables and hummus. A bit on the spicier side with a kick. Pita is soft and warm very fresh, quite good!! When you…read morewalk in, you are immediately greeted by a giant oven baking fresh pita as well as an open kitchen. There is also an outdoor dining area, as well as a mid-sized dining room and we were seated near the window. Sawa serves Lebanese cuisine with some more modern dishes. Additionally, they have a mostly Lebanese wine list, which gave us an opportunity to try some new wines. We ordered both a red and a white for the table, and I was especially drawn to the red, as the red was served chilled, light-bodied, and very enjoyable. Nearly all of the reds and whites on the menu are from Lebanon, with just one red from Morocco, plus a couple sparkling options from Lebanon as well. We started with several dips for the table: hummus, baba ghannouj, and muhammara. The hummus was incredibly smooth, and the muhammara was especially flavorful with large pieces of walnut throughout. Everyone at the table receives fresh pita, and we ended up ordering a few more to share. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the snap peas. The Brussels sprouts were rich and flavorful, but the snap peas really stood out. They were unlike anything I have tasted before, intensely mint, served with garlic mint labneh, and very delicious. For mains, we focused on lamb: two orders of the lamb ribs, two orders of the kafta, and two orders of the sfeeha. We probably over-ordered by about one entrée, but otherwise it was the right amount of food for six people. The lamb ribs were phenomenal, fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. The lamb pies were also very good and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The kafta was good, though not quite as memorable as the other lamb dishes, but still very satisfying. Service was attentive throughout the meal, and despite the number of dishes on the table, the staff handled everything smoothly. The table got a little crowded at times, but it was manageable. I would absolutely recommend Sawa, especially for anyone who enjoys trying something a little different. They do classic Lebanese dishes very well, while also offering some creative dishes that feel unique and memorable. I am already looking forward to going back.
