Like, really crumbly when cutting and we couldn't get a clean slice at all. But not a deal breaker, at this point I've had 2 slices and he has to take it to the office tomorrow and away from my grasp. Wonderful gesture from my wonderful man!

I appreciated how the staff took their time to explain which pastries were nut-free. They handled everything with gloves and worked neatly. The entire place was sparkling clean, including the small dining area. I had a vanilla cream tart and it was light, fresh, and not too sweet. It tasted homemade in the best way. Look no further if you need a special occasion custom cake. Totally a 5-star experience with Robert. From the first phone contact until picking up the cake he was so professional and an excellent communicator. He totally exceeded expectations for the decorating the cake. To top it all off, the cake was delicious. We got the French vanilla flavor with buttercream center. My pics show his cake which he had to duplicate from the Pinterest pic I have included. Why haven't I reviewed this already?? I was having a gender reveal party for family in Houston and was just searching Yelp to find a good spot since we live out of town. The task was unexpectedly difficult. Most other places I called did not call back or were just too out of control pricey. I didn't have anything in mind other than to maximize the frosting. He was so nice he did double frosting for me, and it came out really cute. One half pickup truck, one half pink rosettes. I believe it was about $80. He said it feeds 12 or 18? We got like 25 or more out of it. It's way big. read more

Writing this review a little late (2 weeks), however the cake I purchased was chocolate flavored with fudge filling. The outer layer was buttercream. My family and I have never had a cake this good. Amazing experience. I asked for a very last minute specialty cake to be made for my husband's birthday. With only 24 hours notice, Robert made a cake that surpassed my expectations. It looked incredible and tasted delicious. The customer service is phenomenal. I can't believe he was able to make such an incredible cake in so little time. To be fair, even before this trip I always thought their cakes leaned on the sweeter side, but coming back really confirmed just how sweet they are for my taste. Of course, that's just my personal preference, and I think it would be even better if the cakes were slightly less sugary. Per the nutritional information, it has 35g of sugar per serving. So the individual bundtlet actually has 70g or sugar which is excessive. This is truly a once a year treat!
