Wow.. I am not sure how to start, as excellent service in the "contractor business" IS still alive,…read moreas was recently proved by Kip, from Superior Service Heating. I had cold air coming from my furnace registers for months. and only had my propane fireplace to keep me warm.. I Originally called one of largest heating companies for service. A HUGE mistake that could of cost me dearly. I would comment, I think they sent a trainee. He appeared to be testing my furnace and I could hear that he was on the phone for a good half hour and I inquired. He said he was talking with a co-worker, while I was not sure if he was working on the furnace. When he was done, I was advised that only 1 of 3 of my heat strips worked. They would send a quote the following day and they could also quote a new furnace as mine was old. Upon a quote of $1200 to replace, I decided I should consider a new furnace. I called Superior Service to come out and advised Kip that my heat strips were bad and would like to consider replacing my unit. He went ahead and checked the furnace. I was shocked when he said my heat strips were fine! He went ahead and started checking everything and found numerous things that had been re-hooked up wrong. Even he was disturbed by this, so he re-hooked everything "Correctly" and I had heat again. Total Honesty and service is hard to find. Kip's service was over and above what I had expected.. Very informative, as he checked everything and gave me details, which I appreciated. This man knows everything about heating, as he has been in this business for over 40 years he told me. I not only have found a very trustworthy person, a very kind person. He even came back two days later to assist when I called and had a question about my thermostat programming. All working great now and have a reliable, knowledgeable contractor who will be my first contact from here out. Thank you Kip.. Pleasure meeting you.

Superior Service Shady Business Techniques…read more One service call ($110) lead to another service call as job was not able to be corrected at first visit. Another service call fee ($110) plus ($279) for a thermostat, leading to a third service call with billing listed as three service calls ($330) and control board change ($440). A call was placed to the office requesting bill be sent to owner of building. Kip then continued to harass the tenant to pay the bill and take it off the rent. A late fee was charged to the owner albeit it took Superior Service a month to send the bill. The AC wasn't working in a warm day, call to a different company. Central Oregon Heating and Cooling. Things discovered at this service call ($149): Door was not replaced and was not showing any lights in the control board and it wasn't sitting flush. One spade connector was never connected and was still covered from the factory plastic cover. The AC wasn't never wired in and what was present was not properly wired for this type of unit. From this scenario Superior Service sabotages heating units by either not wiring them at all or incorrectly and installing parts with the plastic covering from the factory still on for return service calls they charge for. The intention seems purposeful to ruin heating units so a new furnace/AC unit would need to be purchased, taking advantage of local businesses and local property owners. Do not use Super Service or proceed with caution.

Just opened my furnace filter compartment from the last visit by quality heating in January to…read morereplace my filter. Was shocked to find a 1" filter in a 5" slot. What the heck? Called for a remedy and to try and understand and the gal said "oh that's no problem!" and I was like "it's a problem, I don't understand why the wrong filter is installed". She said they didn't charge for the filter and they could send someone out to fix but they would need to charge for the correct filter. I said "let me get this right, you put in the wrong filter and now you want to come back and put in the correct filter, but I have to pay for it?" She said maybe the smaller filter was placed as a temporary filter. But it wasn't noted and if it was temporary it's been close to 5 months so she apologized for the mistake but was unwilling to do anything meaningful. I asked if there was anything they could do and she kept saying they could install the correct filter as a cost. So I'm done with these guys. Installing a 1" filter in a 5" slot can do damage to a furnace. It doesn't seal properly and the surface area of filter is 4-10x less - so it clogs up much much faster.
