Coincidentally a week later, my Chevy broke down, so I figured I'd check this place out. The only negative thing I have to say about the place is its appearance can use some work. Appearances are over rated. What's not over rated is having a mechanic you can trust to not try and up sell you on fixing something that's not broken and then over charge you after they've unnecessarily fixed your vehicle. This place only reinforced what I was told by the woman who I sold my car to. My fiancé was driving my car at the time of break down, we decided to take it to this shop, upon entrance I spoke to Jim, the owner and Laura his logistics clerk. Long story short, Brian, a mechanic who works there called me 2 hours later to let me know that there were a couple things that could be wrong, but in his professional opinion, my best option was to take a bottle of .90 cent gas cleaner, dump it in my gas tank and continue driving it.... You must understand I know nothing about cars, nothing (mechanically speaking). They could have told me the M lines on the rodeo gerter were out and it was $1,200 to get me back rolling and I would have had to believe them. Instead, they replaced my drivers side head light, got my vehicle back running good and charged me $103.00. I'm happy to say that I've found my mechanics garage for my tenure in Columbus. I highly recommend this place, good people with values own it. Update** I took my Chevy Equinox here and asked for a tune up. When I called the next day to see if it was the done I spoke to the owner. My car did not receive a tune up because the owner told me that it would not be worth putting any money into my car because "my rods were knocking and it was only a matter of a few hundred miles before my car died" this ruined my whole day because I believed him. This guy had the audacity to tell me "he was in the market for an equinox and offered me $100" he was dead serious. Finally after work I went to pick it up, 36 hours after I had dropped it off and not so much as my oil had been changed. I took it to a Chevy dealership to get a second opinion and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my other than the fact it needed an oil change. Do not ever go to this place. I will say, the mechanic Brian was still really nice, he did help us out as always. He was not aware of the above situation until I filled him in. He kind of rolled his eyes so as to say "not again".

I called to speak with the manager Dave and he apologized and asked what he could do to make it right I said he could pay for a detail because the smell was so bad. Dave agreed gave me the number to a detail shop right beside his company, I called Ed and asked what he recommended he suggested a full detail of the inside. I called another detail company which stated the same suggestions. When I arrived for my detail I was informed that Dave gave a $50 budget as he didn't want to pay for a full detail however I wasn't made aware of this until my appointment on Saturday of course when Reynoldsburg Car Care company was closed, I will never go back for anything or recommend anyone! I spent thousands of dollars at this shop. Money horribly wasted. Here's the breakdown:…read more 1. All of the electrical work I had done was shoddy. A full wiring harness for my front fender lights were hacked so badly that I almost had to pay $400 for a new harness. Luckily I had someone who was able to piece together and fix the mess after the fact. Not to mention all of the electrical connections not being heat shrinked and just electrical taped together. 2. I had brand new Yukon gears installed. Rear pinion seal blew within 1000 miles of breaking the gears in. Front pinion seal started leaking. Had both diffs inspected by two other off-road shops and they both stated the gears were installed improperly. Backlash was all wrong. I go back to DIS-honest speed shop and they tell me all is fine. Fast forward. Year later, the rear pinion seal blows again. Had to have another shop fully reinstall the gears. Horribly experience. 3. Blaming the customers. Don't you dare try to blame the customer for any mishandlings your techs had done to my vehicle. I have several text messages from Jeff Glancy going back and forth about blaming me for damage because I wasn't doing my part and inspecting my vehicle before going offroad. The damage was caused because YOUR TECHS messed up. Bottom line. Don't trust these buffoons with your vehicle. Stay away. Matter of fact... RUN.

I made a morning appointment for shocks and a recall which should have taken a couple hour. I get there on time and the guy tells me it's going to be 3.5-4 hour. Seriously, this is why I made an appointment. I say okay and go sit down. I sit there for 4 hours and then they come and tell me that they can't fix my car today. I asked why, she stated they have the parts but they are short staffed, WTH!! She said they have a courtesy car that I can use until my car is ready. Fine, I'm tired just give me the car and let me leave. They call the next day about 4:20p that my car is ready. I leave immediately to go get my car. I fill theirs with gas and take it back. I sign for my car that was both warranty repairs and leave. Then I drive home and receive a email for a $90 car rental invoice! Had they told me that I would be charged $90 for 27 hours/73 mile; I would have taken an Uber instead.

They way the Parts department set up is very impersonal. Every time you have to have them look at a part or a quote, they have to go in the back to some secret room. and you have to ring a bell to talk to anyone. Also the parts department is located somewhere in a different building than the service department, this is a break in continuity.
