The omelet was disgustingly draining a large amount of raw egg yolk and my biscuit had a smoky ham/bacon taste. Almost like they may have taken it off someone else's plate. I got the Cuban flatbread, daughter artichoke spinach potstickers and my wife the salmon salad. Everybody loved it. Brandy was our server and was great. They still care and it was a deal. Anytime we are near we will go out of our way yo stop back in. Want to go to dinner next time! Blaine

It took a bit from there, but we definitely arrived at a weird time, so that's not a negative. We ordered the cauliflower nugs and edamame as apps and both were spot on. The flavors were great! Loved the sauces and texture of the cauliflower (literally cooked perfectly - crispy but definitely cooked without being mushy - if you order cauliflower you know that I mean here!). The hot honey chicken sandwich was HUGE. The smashburger was delicious. And, the Brussels and fries were perfect sides. This place is legit. The venue is not big, but it's inviting to a trendy crowd. If you need 5 star elegance - skip it. But, if you want great flavors and perfectly cooked food in a fun atmosphere- check this out! Worth it!

We started with the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned and Pineapple Express--they have such a great cocktail menu! The Yogurt Parfait was the perfect bite with fresh berries, honey, Greek yogurt, and crispy granola. My husband ordered the Grit Bowl with creamy pimento cheese, pulled pork, an over-easy egg, and spicy mayo. Talk about comfort food done right! My girlfriend got the Burger, and it was amazing! The combination of pimento cheese and bacon jam was SO good. I went with the Biscuit Bake--creamy sausage gravy, aged cheddar, bacon, and an over-easy egg. Another totally drool-worthy bite! Everything was delicious, the drinks were fantastic, and the whole experience was a win. We will definitely be back!

The beer on tap was all good, local brews, and just happened to be $5 per draft on Thursdays! I got the original burger, because it was national burger day. This was not mentioned on the menu or anywhere else. Had I known, I would have requested them to come without it.

I am usually surprised at how easy it is to get a seat. It's a big space which helps but the food is so good. I always anticipate having to wait. Unless there is a sporting event next-door, I can usually find a place at the bar or get a table. If you sit at the bar, hope Mariah is there. She makes a good cocktail and she's incredibly sweet. Food is consistent and very good. Their smoked wings must be the best in town get the lemon pepper rub in the house made blue cheese dip. You won't regret it. The blackened chicken Caesar salad is also a huge hit. I highly recommend this place. Enjoy!

We were a little confused as to how to enter the restaurant, but I chalk that up to being tired. The space is wide open and airy, with large windows and skylights. The restaurant was nice and clean, save for something that was splashed on the wall in our booth - but it's a restaurant. There's going to be little picky things here and there and I'm sure it was wiped down by the end of the day! Our hostess was also our server and she was so knowledgeable about the menu. I took her suggestions at every turn and did not regret it. We started off with the Bang Bang Brussels Sprouts app and let me tell you - I could've eaten that as my entire meal. They are SO delicious and I'll be dreaming of them until I can return to Rock Hill. Holy cow, they were good - crispy on the outside, loaded with flavor and just enough spice to give the sweetness a little bite. So good. My husband had the country fried steak and he said it was very good. Not the best he's ever had, he said, but good enough. He wished there'd been more steak and less crust, but the flavor was right on. They were out of the salt and pepper flounder, so I changed my order to the ranch chicken. Ummmm....excuse me. Who says not to order chicken breasts at restaurants? The portion size is SO generous and the chicken is SO DELICIOUS that I, the girl who rarely bothers to take leftovers, boxed up what was left and brought it back to my hotel and ate it as a midnight snack. The grilled zucchini served on the side of it was delicious. If I ever get back, I'll ask if I can skip the potatoes in favor of more of that zucchini! We didn't really have room for dessert, but when we heard about the warm banana pudding, we were curious. DO NOT SKIP THIS DESSERT. If you're a banana pudding fan, this will blow your mind. Absolutely incredible! It's both warm and cool at the same time, caramelized bananas and a torched meringue topping were bowl-licking delicious. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Our waitress Emily was so sweet, attentive and friendly. She made sure to break the menu down for me so I won't be surprised with any extra charges and I was very appreciative of that. The eggs were cooked so soft...my country style potatoes were seasoned great and delicious, my pancake was cooked to perfection and still Fluffy. My son enjoyed his breakfast as well. He had the pancake with strawberries, w/ bacon on the side. His bacon was cooked just how he liked it...not to mention the peach mimosa hit the spot. This is the cutest little gem tucked away at the end of a strip mall. The second you walk in, you're greeted by a fun poppy mural and a display of all the delicious pastries of the day. Immediately I'm like, okay, I'm going to like it here! We had about a 20-minute wait, but thankfully there was plenty of time for mimosas and catch up chitchat! And honestly, the time flew by... we weren't even finished with them before we were seated. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was on point from there. Someone filled our water glasses almost immediately after we sat down, and we never had a dry cup. Mimosa refills were quick, too! I also grabbed a chai latte that came in the cutest old-school homemade-looking cup and was perfectly warm and spiced. Soooo good! For food, two of us ordered the Fresh Pick Sandwich with fresh tomatoes, stracciatella, kale pesto aioli, arugula, fresh basil and balsamic glaze on perfectly toasted sourdough. I added avocado and bacon and basically turned it into the most deliciously elevated BLT of my life. I also made a pro side swap for my side and went with the cheesy grits. They were delicious. No notes! My friend got the Fresh Pick without tomatoes and added prosciutto, and another friend ordered The Grit with shrimp, and that plate was BEAUTIFUL. Sweet pepper and tomato sauce, mushrooms, crispy onions, arugula and an egg over a plate of grits. Between us, there were clean plates, full bellies and a whole lot of "what are we trying next time?" conversations happening. The food came out quickly, the service was great, the atmosphere was adorable, and it was just an all-around excellent brunch. My only complaints? 1-Why do they have the cutest pastry merch for kids but not adults... I need that "I'm flaky" croissant shirt lol! And 2-Why is this little gem not closer to me?! But clearly that just means I need to make the drive again. Poppyseed Kitchen has officially been added to the "worth the trip" list!

A rather stark, high-ceiling open floor plan with superb air conditioning. Bring a wrap as it does get chilly. Plates, bowls, sandwiches and salads, along with a kid's menu and miscellaneous snacky items. Prices range from $13 to $18. Decent portions. I had the The Bisquit and Gravy ($12) after asking for a sample taste of their gravy. I have had horrible biscuit and gravy dishes in many places where the gravy was just cooked flowered grease. Not at Poppyseed! It was excellent, flavorful and if you ask for more, you will get it. I did. Wife agreed on the gravy. Wife had the Poppyseed Salad ($12) which was so loaded with cucumbers that annoyed her. Very little lettuce, but lots of other hard veggies. She was not happy. My second choice that lunch day was listed as The Ranch Hash ($18). A fellow diner across from us ordered this hash and said he loved it. It did look good with braised brisket, potato hash and two eggs to order. A very fine portion and will be my order when we return. Parking galore. You will need to turn right when you exit on to Tom Hall Street, unless you get a lucky traffic gap. We will be back, for sure.

First of all it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The building is lovely and well maintained. Very welcoming. We were seated up on the 5th floor and had a super server who was knowledgeable and friendly. My sister ordered Chicken and Waffles and I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and a side of the Parmesan Grits. They gave us these adorable cornbread medallions served warm with this amazing compound butter that was a little sweet and had this citrus zest which complimented the bread perfectly. My sister loved the crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside waffles and I inhaled my biscuits and gravy. We both thought the parmesan grits were the star of the day. Usually parmesan cheese can make things too salty, they balanced it perfectly. I can't say enough nice things about this wonderful spot. YOU MUST GO. The view, the food, the service is top notched.

Waitress just didn't follow up. My water sat unrefilled for a long time. Fried okra didn't taste like okra - but that suited a few of the party. But a few of us expected okra flavor only to be disappointed. Temp on the fried green tomatoes should have been warmer but overall it was very tasty. Our appetizer empty plates sat for a while - we even stacked them so it was clear they should be cleared. Ordered the salmon, which was good, but so did my mom. We ordered different temps and they couldn't tell which was which. Wife ordered a salad and for the price, there was barely anything there. Mac and cheese is still the star. Oysters were decent - I expected larger. The half chicken was a generous portion - nice crispy outside but a bit dry inside. I wouldn't order it (I almost did, but my one of our party did). One of our party ordered a stuffed leeks and it was so salty it was inedible. They did fix it and admitted it should have never left the kitchen. By the time the replacement came out it was after 6:05 (and they had to leave at 6:15). So they didn't get to eat their celebratory meal with the rest of us. Not the memory you want for a meal. Desserts were good. Tort was dense - honestly not sure if that's normal. Crème brûlée was very good. For a $400+ experience and our history with Pump House, I expected more.
