Five stars? This place deserves five galaxies. This isn't a restaurant , it's a gateway to paradise. My entire existence has led up to this moment of me dining at this restaurant. Driving up to this A&W feels like ascending into a golden cloud of flavor and joy. The steak finger sent me into a spiritual coma, the fries are rays of crispy sunlight, and the root beer is liquid ambrosia served in a frosted chalice. The staff? Angels in orange, delivering happiness on a tray. This A&W isn't fast food , it's a heavenly experience that time travellers will be returning to for the rest of human existence. Ya can't go wrong with an A&W cheeseburger! I hadn't beer to an A&W in years and decided to hit this little place of history on our way to Farmington from Durango. We went inside and used the provided Phone at the table to order our meal. It wasn't long before our delicious RootBeer floats arrived with our juicy cheeseburgers. Wow this brought back a lot of memories. The burger was perfect with just the right about of toppings. Of course the RootBeer float was the highlight of our lunch... don't pass this place up and treat yourself to a RootBeer float!! read more

Awesome drive in A&W located near the Aztec Ruins. It's one of those drive-up and order from our car station, and they bring out your order to your car. Friendly service and definitely a welcoming treat after a hot day in town. read more

This place has gone extremely downhill!!! They are always out of several items including the rolled tacos which they are known for. Then you have to wait forever for your order to be taken and then wait forever for them to bring it out. I don't know if it is poor management or the new owners. This is our fav place in Aztec, but I think they have new owners. The food tastes different. Please go back to old recipes for rolled tacos &sauce. Like that they are giving option of green Chile on hamburgers, but when we say well done, please make it that way. Whoever took our order, young male, was not friendly to begin with. He told us none of the burgers we ordered came with onions but they did. We also got home to find out we were missing a burger. We used a coupon and drove the whole 25 min just to get back home with half our order and onions in our burgers when we asked for none and were told they didn't come with any. Very unorganized! They suck! Back 5 years ago I would have said this was the best A&W on the planet. But with there inability to keep menu items in stock and there terrible service. I'll never go back again. I've been on hold or should I say someone put the phone down and I can hear everything going for the past 50 minutes. I went to the drive-in and waited there for 10 minute to find out they don't sell the stake-finger or rolled taco's but on weekends. The new kid told me its been that way for a year. Bullsh** two weeks ago I ordered on a Wednesday and there was no issue. Whats the problem these things have been on the menu for longer the most of the staff have been alive. I'm still listening to everyone making orders and its now over an hour. That would explain why when calling in an order. The phone is busy for hours at a time. Hello nobody wants to sit and wait in your driven for 20 to 30 minutes to get food. A&W doesn't give a rats A** about there customers. Oh someone without saying anything just hung up the phone. So it common practice to have the phone off the hook. I called right back and the kid "manager" was smart as you can get. Don't go to this store all you'll get is long wait times and food on the menu that is unavailable! In fact the first two photo's of food that show up for this A&W are the two things I tried to order. Friendly staff, clean location, and great food!! If you are in the area stop by. The local A&W in my town closed so going to this location was nostalgic. Good food and reliable service if that is important to you. My daughter loves coming here for the classic root beer float as a weekend snack. I would rate this place -5 star.... A&W used to be my favorite place to go for steak fingers.. now they never have them! They supposedly only have on the weekend but if I call they always say we only have on Saturday or we only have on Friday or they're always sold out. Some workers has told me to go to porters if I wanted them. This place has definitely gone way down hill, not sure if there's new owners or what but the service is horrible. You'll wait about 30+ minutes for cold food. They can't say they're short staffed because you'll see staff standing around inside twiddling their thumbs. Recently, I went and this poor girl was delivering all the car orders by herself and there was about 5-6 people standing around watching. Definitely no teamwork. Management must not care because all the reviews I read are all the same and nothing is being done to bring this place back to what it was. I don't feel they were hurt during Covid shut down because they were always busy. There may be a food supply shortage but that doesn't excuse the 30+ minute wait for cold food. read more
