After contacting a few, I found one that absolutely shone - The McMillan family's company, North Florida Water Systems. When I called, Bob Mc Millan, Sr. answered directly - no messages or call backs! He took a lot of time to answer all of my questions, and assess my needs. He quoted a very fair price, and informed me about how he would drill the well. He, his son Bob, Jr, and their helper arrived exactly on time, as arranged. They carefully surveyed my property, and ensured that all of the utilities had been located an marked. They positioned their equipment, and wasted no time in completing my well - it far exceeded my expectations, and produces clean, fresh Floridan Aquifer water in quantities far greater than I thought it would! These folks are total gentlemen, and are committed to serving their customers - they have been around a long time, and now I know why. They used very modern drilling equipment, cleaned up the site well, and were extremely professional. It's obvious that the McMillans are people of their word - I received excellent value and service. I called Meeks water treatment and asked them to come give me a solution. I explained I am from NY and have never had to deal with a well or this type of water and would be relying on their expert information. They discussed a system that would stop all the above and give us great water to drink. I agreed and we had the system installed. Had them set up on a regular visit for salt and service. So, the smell and black residue came back shortly after (just under a year) they came out looked it over and said THEY installed one of the pieces backwards and they needed to fix that AND I had to pay for labor. Yup, I did it, again, mistakes happen, ok, I dont think I should have had to pay, but. Ok, a little over a month, SAME THING. This time they tell me, again their mistake, I should have had a different unit installed not what I have and oh yes, they would give me a break on parts and labor, but I still had to pay. You guessed it, AGAIN we have the same thing, paid again for a service call to be told I need to get a plumber to come back wash my new water heater because when they had them set up in the wrong order it may have pushed sediment into the heater. Paid a plumber to come do just that, have video of NOTHING coming out of the heater and the plumber said, no way that is what is wrong. so here I sit, thousands out and still have a smell to the water and black sediment in the toilets. HELP, I am done calling Meek for them to keep charging me for THEIR mistakes. I wouldnt be SO against them if maybe they once said, Hey, this has been our problem, the service call is on us.
