I've now had several appointments and I am still SO happy with the care I receive. I also love that they don't have to refer me out for anything because they have doctors who come in for everything, so the care is consistent. I had a root canal yesterday and the doctor was kind enough to check in this evening and gave wonderful advice. I see Dr K tomorrow for a crown and this is the first time in my life I've ever been excited to go to the dentist. I went in for a cavity and new retainer replacements. My tooth was still hurting after a few weeks so I went back in for them to check on it when I picked up my new retainer. When I was greeted about my tooth concern, she had no record of any X-rays done or anything which definitely should be on file which I thought was really weird. She ended up taking another X-ray. She filed my tooth down a little more and sent me home. The pain continued and it has now been 2 weeks at this time. I went be to get it checked out since it was still hurting. She thought the tooth next to it would be making it hurt. She then filled that one and also the one that was hurting again. Now it's been a month and both teeth are now hurting. This is definitely not normal and now I have retainers that don't even fit because the cavity's were done before and after I got a screen. Now I'm stuck with 2 sore teeth and a retainer that doesn't fit. The dentist was also switching around to multiple people at a time. She would numb me, leave me there for 20-30 minutes then come back and just bounce around between patients. Never before have I experienced a dentist that seems to not know what's going on or what they are doing. I even wonder if they were changing gloves all the way because I saw one assistant change one glove but not the other, she could've changed the other one in a different room I am not going to say I know that for sure, but still seems odd and unsanitary. This dental office is absolutely amazing! A gem in our valley. When I stepped into the office I was greeted by the loveliest staff I've ever experienced in my life. I felt the warmth and care from the exceptional dentist Dr. K. She's not only incredibly talented and skilled, but most importantly she is golden hearted and so empathetic. She really cares about her patients, and I felt like I got the best care at a dental office ever. I was in awe of it all, honestly, felt like a dream. The skill set, kindness, high tech state of the art machinery, and gorgeous scenery (yes, there are breathtaking outside garden views in each dental room which eases any anxiety anyone may have!) is beyond anything I've experienced before. In fact, I was so impressed by it all, I'll be referring my friends to the office ASAP. Seriously, for anyone experiencing anxiety about doctor/dentist visits...this dental office wipes it away with its warmth and wonderful work. Scheduled an appointment which was booked a month out. The day before I get a message that they rescheduled it on me without me even verifying. I move my schedule around to make the appointment time work and then an hour before the appointment they called that they can't verify my insurance so I had to cancel. They allegedly spoke to my insurance company and couldn't figure anything out. I am currently logged into my insurance companies website and am viewing all my information. They said i could print it out and bring it in with the chance that I might have to pay out of pocket. What a waste of a month. The worst part is, the receptionists didn't seem to give a care in the world about the terrible experience. read more

On Friday 2/3, I went to this place for a crown. They charged me before they did any work. They got me in and said I needed a root canal because I had an infection. I told them I couldn't afford it so they put me on a payment plan. They did the root canal. Then did the "temporary" crown. I was under the impression same day crown meant I get my actual real crown the same day. Nevertheless, they put my temp crown in and sent me out the door. I looked at it when I got to my car. It was horrific. I heard the dentist and nurse whispering at some point to the side of me while looking down at something. Once I saw my tooth I understood. My front tooth was HUGE. I mean it could almost account for both front teeth. I cried in my car and went back inside to ask if my permanent crown will look this big. They said no. And sent me home with this huge tooth and my gums were bleeding where the big tooth was put in. I paid 1,700 for them to not give me what I was supposed to get, but give me a huge temporary "crown". On 2/4 my mouth was hurting all day. I kept applying Orajel and popping Tylenol thinking it was just my "temporary crown" setting in. Then on Sunday 2/5 I woke up to my lips swollen. I went to the ER and they said I had a gum infection and gave me better antibiotics than the dentist did. I went home and tried to sleep and had a fever and chills. Then Monday I woke up and my mouth and the whole right side of my face was swollen. I went to a different dentist and they examined me and took my temp crown out and shaved it down smaller so it wasn't pressing into my gums. And they referred me to a specialist to have my infection surgically taken out. The better dentist I went to, the whole office was appalled at the crap job this place does to their patients. The lack of care is disgusting. I don't have insurance so every where I went to fix the mess they did, I paid out of pocket. On top of $1700 I paid up front for a permanent crown I never received. I went to ask them for a refund since I won't be getting my permanent crown from them any longer after all of this. And I gave them all the paperwork from the hospital, other dentist and oral specialist I had to go to to fix what they incited. They sent me an email later in the day saying they won't do a refund because I came in with the infection and went to a different dental office to get it fixed. (Why would I go to the same place that incited the problem? To give them more money?) if they could have solved the problem had I gone back. Then why didn't they do it right that same day I was in there. The dentist knew that tooth was too big, the office manager knew that that tooth was big and they still sent me out that door. I wish I never step foot into this place. This is more than just about the money I lost here. This business was playing with my life. If the abscess in my mouth had spread to my bloodstream it could have caused sepsis and I could have died. They also charge you BEFORE your service so if anything goes wrong they can keep your money. Heed my warning when I say don't go to this place. There are far better dentists in the area. Like The weekend Dental right up the road. Dont let the good reviews fool you. They were able to see me right away - took care of the issue - and I am now working with the entire team on setting up the next few appointments/plan of care to fix ALL of the issue I have. Bad experience with a female dentist there. I had a bad tooth ache going in, coming home with an even worst pain on my infected tooth. The female doctor there is LAZY. She did a root canal for kids on me because it is a much easier procedure. I got charged "full price", $$$$$ for adult root canal. Afterwards, she send me home without antibiotics nor pain meds on my infected tooth. It was so painful that the horrible pain kept me up all night. I would not recommend her to anybody! read more

Went here today, I hadn't been to the dentist in while. I was totally turned off when I mapped them and discovered that it was in the strip mall by my house, but I don't have a car, so my hand is pretty forced in the way of convenience. Overall, it was a good experience. The local is next to a tanning salon and a chinese restaurant, so it is rather off-putting, to say the least. Besides location, they have many good things going for them. They are well stocked with up-to-date computer systems and tools. They take every insurance they can, and also take the "Vital Savings" program that comes with being a .5 T.A. at ASU. I got some x-rays and a cleaning. The dentist was very nice and extremely gentle. The hygienist was pretty good, no real complaints, no overt exceptional qualities. Pretty cheap if you have coverage, non-invasive overall. They use computer Xrays and show you your teeth as they diagnose you. No Cavities for me! Now, a quick jaunt to Cornish Pasty... yes, the strip mall thing is still weird to me. read more

I never been a fan of dentists. Mostly because I have SPD (Sensory processing disorder) basically what hurts most people doesnt hurt me and what rarelly hurts people will make me whine in pain. So to find a dentist that not only knowns what it is but actually believes me that an adult can have it, now that is super rare. So anyway, the reason why I went to A&N instead of my normal dentist. I had an severe infected wisdom tooth and finally the pain hit me and hit me good. I called my regular dentist and he said "I cant work on that, you need a specialist" (not the exact words) and gave me a number to call. Well the specialist was closed that day (being 5pm) so I searched for someone who could. And you know what...A&N can. Plus it doesnt feel like a sales pitch when I go in there. They dont have overpriced special machines. Just a good hearted dentist who cares. She saw my tooth and in 45 minutes I was back home with some pain meds. And I never even asked, they just gave them to me. So I would be warry of Mitch's review. But it was quick and painless. I liked this dentist so much that I cancelled all my cleaning appointments with my other dentist and will be seeing this one from now. I went in to A & N Dental Center for an emergency appointment about a month ago. When I initially called the receptionist I spoke to was not only professional, she was kind and very compassionate. The doctor's schedule was full; however I was placed on hold to see if the doctor could squeeze in an emergency. I was thrilled when she told I could come in that same day. When I arrived at the office the staff was great. I went back and sat in the chair for about 15 minutes, during the short wait time I was asked by 2 of the girls if I needed anything. When the doctor came in she kindly introduced herself and asked how I was feeling. She took her time looked at my x-rays and made her recommendations not only for the "emergency" tooth but for others that I knew needed to be worked on. The office prepared a treatment plan. Long story short I stayed in that chair for 4 hours that day, and it was well worth my time. The doctor squeezed me in for an emergency even though her schedule was full and actually spent TIME with me. I have never experienced this time of care from a dentist. I left the dentist with 4 temporaries and an appointment to put on the permanent crowns. My experience at this dentist was incredible, you feel comfortable and at ease. Going to the dentist is never a comfortable thing especially in an emergency situation. I returned for an appointment today and this office and doctor have by far exceeded my expectations on customer service and compassion. I was sitting in the chair waiting for the doctor, as she walked by she asked if I was okay, I explained that I had a horrible migraine. She gave me some shots to numb me up, as I waited to get completely numb I had fallen asleep. I woke up almost a hour later. I hear her assistant say she is up. When they returned to the room the doctor said I didn't want anyone to wake you. Are you kidding!! What kind of doctor allows you to sleep in their chair for over an hour because you have a migraine? Well this doctor did. I was so impressed. Needless to say if you're looking for a dentist I would recommend A & N Dental Center. If you TRULY care about your teeth and are looking for a new place you won't be disappointed. However if you're looking to cut corners and want a quick fix there is a chance this place may not work for you! Great work guys! read more

At 40 years old, unfortunately I have seen quite a few dentists and usually I am a hit and run patient. What I mean is that I will have a dentist address the current situation, get quotes, get the immediate fix, and then never return...I have never seen the same dentist twice. I know what my teeth look like, I'm embarrassed, and when I open my mouth for a dental 'professional', the tears begin to fall and then when the exams are complete, I feel completely belittled by these 'professionals'. Until now... I had been in massive pain to the point that I grabbed a pair of pliers to try to remove the painful tooth myself, I couldn't grip it due to the tooth being broken flush with the gum. At 6:30 am on Saturday morning, I started calling around, leaving voice mails for help from any 'emergency' dentist. At 7 am I received a return call from Dr. Kheshtchin, she said she would meet me at noon in her office, as she had previous engagements already planned...however, when I explained the immense pain I was in and if someone in her office could 'numb' my mouth until then, she modified her schedule and said she would meet me at 8 am. (this alone was impressive to me, as it immediately made me feel that it wasn't about the money she was going to make but she actually had concern for me as a patient...I hope her family knows how much I appreciate them allowing me to take her away from them) I have read the previous reviews so I had an understanding of the location and its surroundings. Like I said I have walked into a lot of dental offices, usually the more amenities that an office has the higher the cost for me is going to be. Maybe I am old school but it reminded me of a working dental office, especially the manila patient file folders. I walked in with Anisha, informing her of the conversation I had with Dr. K that morning. She gave me the necessary paperwork and told me to fill it out as best as I could because she understood the amount of pain I was in. It was nice to feel that she understood and was trying to be accommodating. I was taken back and had my xrays, I saw the abscesses on the film and Anisha (not knowing that I knew what infection looked like around a tooth) pointed out the areas....waiting just a few moments, Dr. K walked over looking at the xrays, and into my mouth...she explained what she saw and what she felt needed to occur (she was saying the same thing other dentists have told me but I just never completed). (I thought she was just going to numb me to last until noon, and then I would get any necessary work done at that time). I was so at ease, so comfortable with how I was being treated, it was the first time in my life that when I opened my mouth I did not begin to cry, she made me feel NO shame over the condition of my mouth. She told Anisha what her plan was, Anisha told me the cost, and I said let's do it. While waiting for the topical to numb before the shots, she put me even more at ease with her conversation and I was not afraid or anxious (again first time in my life)...I had 4 abscessed teeth extracted (broken at the gums)...I would say the extraction of these 4 teeth took no more than 15 minutes and I had absolutely no pain during the procedure, none (usually I have had to have multiple shots during a procedure and I am only talking about a one tooth procedure). I cannot be happier with the entire procedure. Like I said above, I had read the previous yelp reviews (I told Dr. K this and she was shocked that I still came to see her as some of the reviews hurt), my answer was that someone else's experience may not be mine, and the common denominator in all reviews (even the negative) was that her patients were her priority, even at the most inconvenient time (New Years Eve, Easter Sunday, etc) and I felt she had both positive and negative and if I didn't like the experience I just wouldn't be back. I want everyone to know, I will not consider myself a hit and run dental patient any longer as I have scheduled my future appointments. 40 years old and I can proudly say I HAVE A DENTIST, Dr. Kheshtchin, and her staff at A&N Dental. I am excited to finally know that I will soon have the teeth I have desired my entire life and with a Dentist that doesn't degrade me because of the condition of my mouth. My husband and I have been going here for several years and I never had an issue with them until last month. I made an appointment to see the dentist for part of a filling that needed redone (by the way, the cavity in question had been filled at the same place a few years back). I openly expressed that I would need a cavity refilled when making the appointment. I am only available on Saturday's. When I get there, I waited around 30 minutes in the waiting room during which I paid my $95 fee. When I went back to the chair, they took x-rays. Finally, the dentist came over and explained what I already knew. But, here's the kicker: She told me she had to schedule an appointment for the following week! For a cavity filling!!! I came 45 miles from Surprise because of the loyalty I had for them and the exceptional care we'd received before. Turns out, she doesn't fill cavities on Saturdays! That would've been a nice piece of information to know when I called to schedule an appointment ON SATURDAY FOR A CAVITY REFILL!!! I could've saved $95, wear and tear on my vehicle and gas if they had just told me that. Also, $250 to fill a cavity is crazy! The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they were cool about moving my appointment back an hour because I hit crummy traffic on the way there and called to say I wouldn't be there on time. read more

I went there for a couple of years and I made it my regular dentist I really liked how professional the dentist is and friendly. she did eventually get to know me as her usual because I had to get lots of operations. She even referred me to this great specialist because I had to get a root canal reopened due to a infection with the previous dentist who completely butchered a root canal by breaking the metal instrument in my tooth and sealing it with that in it! Because of that the infection completely destroyed my tooth. Luckily she was able to fix it and put a brand-new crown on it and she performed my second root canal which went flawlessly! I haven't been there for a few years due to not having insurance, but I do need to go to the dentist now for probably a major operation again (I have brittle teeth) and I can't wait to go back to her again and her really friendly staff. read more

TL;DR This dental center fronts pleasantry but in the end will neglect you, mistreat you, and leave you in pain with no money. After our first visit my wife and I thought we liked this dentist. The receptionist was friendly, the hygienist was thorough but gentle, and the dentist seemed knowledgeable and professional if a little brisk. We got our cleanings done and scheduled return appointments for cavity fillings and my wife's root canal. Today my wife went back for her root canal. My wife has had a couple root canals before, so she had an idea of what to expect going in. It started well, with the root canal specialist being very empathetic towards my wife's past experiences and making sure she was numbed entirely. The root canal procedure went smoothly. After the root canal, the regular dentist was supposed to put a temporary crown on. However, as the specialist was walking out the door the dentist asked them to work on their own tooth while he was there! The entire staff proceeded to gather in the other room while the dentist had her tooth worked on, and LEFT MY WIFE SITTING IN THE CHAIR AFTER HER PROCEDURE FOR FORTY-FIVE MINUTES. Unbelievable. While they were having a grand old time next door, the numbness in my wife's mouth wore off leaving her in pain. When they finally remembered they had a patient in the other room, her mouth was no longer numb. This didn't stop them from not listening to my wife telling them that and saying "Oh, well, we'll just start and if it hurts we will numb you again." ARE YOU SERIOUS?? So much for empathy! No surprise, after more painful drilling, they had to re-numb her mouth with more shots. And to top it all off, when she left they would NOT prescribe her pain medication because "it wouldn't hurt." This dental center is either oblivious or has no empathy for their customers. My wife was also cajoled by the staff into paying for a crown when she only wanted the much less expensive post. We will not be going back. EDIT: After a follow up phone call the Office Manager blatantly lied to me and told me they had offered my wife painkillers when they had not. Clearly this is a case of an incompetent dentist office trying to hide their mistakes. read more

Had a bad toothache late on a Saturday afternoon. Did an internet search for emergency dental and this office came up. Called and was happily surprised at the response that I got. The receptionist was wonderful and contacted the Dr. She met me at the office and did an emergency procedure to take care of my pain immediately! They were fantastic! I had never heard of this office before today and was not a previous patient and they took care of me like an old friend. I was in town for a business meeting and started having severe dental pain so I Googled Emergency Dentist in Tempe and A & N cam up on top of the search. The website said same day appointments and emergency services until 9pm weekdays. I called at 2:30 pm on a Wednesday to see the doctor and was tole the doctor would not be in until Friday afternoon. So much for the emergency services claim they make on there website. Another advertising scam to get to the top of the search engines. Shame on you A & N Dental. read more
