I came in today on 11/24/2024 and I got acrylics, and a pedicure. My manicure was okay, nothing terrible, except that the lady kept getting up every couple minutes to do other things making my manicure take way longer than it shouldve. Then my pedicure is where my time went wrong. I got someone who didnt speak any english, and seemed as though this was her first time ever giving a pedicure. It was horrible. No massage, no idea what she was doing and didn't even out a rag down so my bare feet were touching the chair the whole time, very unsanitary. A complete waste of $117 and a tip on top of that. I called today, December 21 to get a pedicure. The lady that answered the phone told me that I could be there in 30 minutes that they will fit me in. I waited 45 minutes to get a lady that started off with an attitude number two she started doing my nails like she never did a pedicure or her first time doing a pedicure. she cut my nails slanted and did not know how to file nails. So now I have crooked nails, dirty nails and the dead skin around my toe wasn't even cleaned. Nothing was done properly . I was so upset. I didn't even think that woman could paint my nails, so I decided to stop the pedicure. You would think that the owner or whoever the man is towards the entrance said hey sit back down we're gonna have someone re do your pedicure. No he says oh she did clean your cuticles. I said no she didn't. All she did was file and cut my nails incorrectly . This service was absolutely horrible, very unprofessional and awful customer service. read more

I had been a long time customer and survived the many price increases so when I pay 65 dollars plus tip i expect my nails to last 3 weeks. After 5 days they started to chip so I would file down but by 10 day I could see the tech did not do a thorough job many more nails started to chip. She even remarked how quick she was. I went there today to ask for a fix and the tech was accusatory and the whole experience pretty embarrassing. read more

Came to A & J Nails for Healthy Nails and Gel Pedicure.... They started with my pedicure... should have started soaking my current set of healthy nails off but didn't. The pedicure was ok but nails were cut & filed crooked. When the person doing my pedicure was finished, she advised me to stay seated until the person doing my hands were ready for me. Quite a bit of time went by then confusion about who was doing my hands became an issue. They moved me around from seat to seat. It was pretty embarrassing. Then they advised me they didn't have the matching color for my hands. Which they previously told me they did. So they had to do a clear dip and paint over it with the gel polish that was used for my feet. Lots of confusion and unprofessionalism. My nails came out mediocre which was disappointing due to the length of time I spent there and amount of money they charged me. I won't be coming back :( read more

This place is not sanitary. They reuse the same file, buffer, etc on multiple people. The girl doing my nails stopped in the middle of my manicure to clip her own nails. If that wasn't bad enough, she left her nail clippings on the towel my hands were on. Absolutely disgusting. read more

Just an average manicure. Didn't last a week. It's a bit odd how they perform their they'll curing. I will try another place next time.

I'm honestly tired of writing bad reviews on the work that gets done on my nails. If someone knows who does "gives a shit" and goes a great job on nails please let me know. My nails look messy and spending $50-60 on crap is getting old. I come to the Stuart area once or twice a month. 2nd nail place I have been to in Stuart and West Palm beach isn't any better. I guess I could have done three stars on how nice everyone and I was going to add clean.. but now that I'm thinking about it. The tin foil was used and was added again to my nails. I don't get it. I love going to AJ nails I guess I have been going there about 12 yrs. I have never had a bad experience there. Their pedicures are just wonderful especially the special ones. I have recommended many people who are very satisfied with the technicians. They are the most courteous and friendly people who are so kind to all their customers. Walked in for a mani/pedi today at approximately 2:40pm. Two employees were in the waiting area, talking, and no customers were present in the salon. I was told that there were only 3 people working today and it was suggested I return later. Maybe there were upcoming appointments. I'm not sure because I was so confused by being turned away from an empty establishment that I didn't think to ask, and no explanation was offered. I would never turn away business while 3 employees sat idle. My mom went here while visiting me a few months ago and gave it rave reviews. I'm just super disappointed and figure there are too many salons in the area who would welcome and appreciate all business with enthusiasm, so I wont be returning. Bizarre experience. read more

They didn't shape my nails good and left them really bumpy.My sister did her nails also and they cut her and made her design really ugly and didn't shape it good either. This is the mess I left there with! And she just kept saying well it's your first time getting healthy nail! I have never left a salon with paint all around my fingers the old polish still wiped on my fingers from removal and all my nails so chipped up and filed crooked. Woman said I will pay because I wasted 1 hour of her time! No she wasted 1 hour of my time and charged me 30 bucks for it! This is my go-to nail salon and I recommend it to all of my friends and family. I have been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. I trust them with my gel manicures and pedicures, eyebrow waxing, everything. The staff members are all kind and attentive and know you by name, the salon is always clean, there is a great selection of services and polish colors, and best of all the prices are very reasonable. This is one of the worst nails salons I have ever been to. A few months ago I went in to buy my mom a gift card and they were extremely rude. So I'm not quite sure WHY I went back there today. I wanted to get a full set done and the sign outside clearly advertised-$25 full set. So I went in and once again, the guy was rude, like I was a complete inconvenience to him for walking in the door. But it was 3pm on a Sunday so going someplace else would have taken time and reduced my chances of getting my nails done before they usually close at 5pm everywhere else. So I stayed. I got a standard acrylic full set, very short length with regular nail polish... total cost... was $38. Why? It's says $25 on the sign right outside the door. So I tipped $3 bucks, the woman counted the three dollars in front of me and gave me an eye roll, and will never be back. She knows she overcharged me, and my nails look horrible, so don't waste your time or money here. I don't know how places like this stay in business. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for about 5 years now and I use to love coming here. The staff is friendly but the last 3 times I have gone to get my nails done I have been very disappointed. I got healthy nails with extensions and they started popping off in 3 days. I stopped going for a little then decided to try it out again. I got healthy nails without extensions this time. While I was getting them done the tech kept burning my cuticles with the electric file and poked me with the critical trimmer. After she was finished I looked at my nails and the finish wasn't smooth it was very rippled. I came back in yesterday too get one of my nails fixed because after 5 days of having my healthy nails, my thumb nail polish cracked in half. I went in to get it fixed thinking they would redo that nail but she just glued it and put a top coat on. Today it cracked completely off after getting it fixed just yesterday. I don't think I'll be coming back again. I hate to say that because I use to love coming here but I feel like the quality of their service has dwindled. read more

Mih did my nails and he did an awesome job! Ive never been to a nail salon where they asked a lot of questions on how you liked your nails. I got a gel manicure on Sunday and by Tuesday it started lifting up. Since I have a 7 month old I had to wait to go in until I could have someone watch my daughter. I was able to make it in today where I showed that 7 out of my 10 nails were coming up. I am new to the area and I have never experienced this at my salon back home. The woman started removing the polish by pealing the polish of my nail with out putting any type of remover on. I have always been told not to peal of gel because it takes off part of my nail. Which I could see it pealing off while the woman did it. When I asked about it she said it was fine and not damaging to the nail. This is hard for me to believe since I could see it pealing the top layer of my nail off. The ones she couldn't just peal off she removed properly. I also found it odd that the tools that were used did not appear to be sterilized. Once the tools were used on me they were dipped in water and put back into the tool box. I did whiteness the person who took off the polish use the same tool on her next client. My salon back homes opens a sterilized package each time they do my nails. While they did redo my nails I am still extremely disappointed and would not recommend this nail salon. read more
