I was given a flat rate for septic pump service based on my address, they came performed service and at the end the guy charged us more than the quote I was given, he wouldn't honor thebquote I was given over the phone. I would not recommend them and will tell all my neighbors about my experience and how they can not be trusted on the price even though they said it was a flat rate based on location. read more

The one star they got is because of their friendliness (and because yelp won't let me give them lower than 1 star). That's about the only compliment I'll give them. I had called to get my RV black water tank pumped (about 90 gallons), and they were supposed to contact me the day before so I could schedule to be there. Instead they called me 15 minutes before they came, while I was at work... They "pumped it out" without having any way to vent the tank (access to the toilet was locked) and when I got home the meter was saying the tank was still Full. I looked down the toilet and can still see that it's full of solids. I called them and asked them what the deal is and what I should do. They basically made excuses like "sometimes the gauge just says it's full when it's not" and "the solids must have completely dried and can't be pumped out"... which isn't even possible given the fact that all of our non-dried solid waste is in plain view and is nice and... fresh..., and crap water came out when I got home and opened the valve myself, right onto my brand new shoes, which admittedly... was my fault for wearing them, lol. That's not even getting into the fact that IF there was a small amount of dried up solids, it would have been a very small amount, and should have been broken up by the chemicals I use to break up the solids... I suspect it's more of a physics issue... ya know... like when you try to dump a full can of gas into your car without a vent, and there's no air to replace the volume of mass that's leaving the container... but what do I know? Their solution for moving forward was pretty much to get a 5 gallon bucket and open the valve to see if that fixes it... I kind of thought the whole point of paying someone to suck it out was so I didn't have to carry buckets of feces and dump them illegally somewhere... Because they sucked out most of the liquids (the only thing that would somewhat drain while creating a vacuum) which included $50 in chemicals to break down the solids, the solids that they left are going to dry out, which will create an even bigger problem... So now I get the pleasure of breathing wonderful aromas while getting some water in there to hopefully make it possible for the next company to pump it out. I feel bad for having to leave a negative review, because everyone I talked to was REALLY nice... but then again... I'd probably be SUPER pleasant if I got to get paid for pretending to do work too. I sincerely hope this is just some kind of misunderstanding and I just am the one person who randomly got screwed, because this is... beyond absurd. read more

I should have written then 7 years ago, but better late than never. We have worked with A & A Best Septic a couple of times over the past 7 years now. Jesse and Jerry have taken great care of us. The first time around we were experiencing minor backups, which led us to schedule the tank pumping (which was overdue for anyway). We selected these guys primarily based on price. Jerry came out, handled the pumping and then advised our backup issue was likely not septic related but was being caused by a corroded cast iron pipe running from our house to the tank. When the backup persisted, he came out a second time and tried every trick he could think of to clear the pipe even though the issue really should not have been his problem. Shortly thereafter I took his advice, but the bullet and replaced the cast iron pipe. Our system has been perfect ever since. When it came time recently to schedule a regular pumping there was no way I was going to use anyone else. Jesse arrived on right on time, was very friendly and chatted while he set up the operation, and completed the job without a hitch. Next time around we will be calling them again. read more

We just got our septic pumped from the family owned business A & A Septic, and we are really grateful for their honest services. In the past, using other companies, we had our tank pumped but from only one uncovered opening (there are two - we just found that out today) and the other times it was pumped we were not told about the second opening but still charged full price by the other companies! A & A noticed right away and gave me options, only pump the one side, reschedule so my husband could dig up the other hole, or have them do it and pay for the labor. Since this was something that cost me money that I had to save up for, I didn't count on the extra, and I told them so. They gave me a good discount for their efforts and started digging. I am glad we decided to go that route because it was very full! The guys were fast and courteous and I appreciated their efforts today. Hope they have a good holiday season! read more

We've used these guys 3x in the past 10 years. I appreciate their hard work and honesty. At our first house, they said we still had a couple more years to go before needing a pumping out so if we wanted to save money we could wait. (They also helped us figure out that the problem was actually that our child had flushed a bunch of wipes down!) The second time, they built a new lid system so we could satisfy inspection requirements to sell our house. Jerry worked so hard all weekend to get it done quickly! This time around, Jesse came to service tanks at our new house. The lids were really hard to pry off but he worked hard to get it done for us. We've never had an issue scheduling. read more

CROOKS!!!!! Watch out. We had to have our septic system pumped and verified. I told them I would be there at 1, they got there at noon to start "digging." I told them EXACTLY where the map was that showed the location of the caps. They failed to look for it and charged me an extra hour labor for the digging. But it does NOT stop there. After they pumped the tank, they told me the leech lines did not pass inspection and that I would need to dig up my entire yard to find which line had the problem. This usually costs around $10k but if I went with them they would "give me a deal" for around $4k. I immediately called for a 2nd opinion from SD Septic. To make a long story short, the septic tank and lines were FINE!!!!!! A & A tried to extort money. They lied. Tried to cheat me out of $4k. I would NOT recommend them for anything. read more

Thank you A&A Best for your prompt service! Nobody wants to have to deal with a backed up septic tank, especially on a rainy, muddy day! We called A&A first thing in the morning, they said they would be out later in the morning. Within an hour, Jerry stopped by to assess the situation and determine what tools he would need. My husband was able to dig up the tank covers to save a few bucks. Just before lunch, Jerry and Jesse returned and cleaned out the septic and snaked the drains. Just bought a new house, never been on septic before, so didn't know what I was getting into. We had the seller's cert and pump the tank before we bought and everything was fine. A&A did all the work there. A week after closing and we're painting and demo-ing, then moved in. Shower backed up and then I noticed water coming out of a pulled toilet down the hall. Had 2 plumbers out, snaked the main line from the pulled toilet and the cleanout in front of the house. Both hit the tank and both said the tank was the problem. Called A&A and spoke to Tracy. She got Jerry (the owner) out that afternoon. I already had the lids dug up. I don't even think he was working at the time because he came over on a motorcycle to check things out. He ran to the hardware store, bought a drill bit, came back and borrowed a drill, popped a hole in the inlet pipe inside the tank. Nothing. No water backed up or anything. So he got an auger and snaked back towards the house. Got some stuff out, but no water still. Shoved a hose with spray nozzle down there and cleared the blockage. Been back in business since. Even though it was something of an emergency, he did the opposite of gouge me on price. He was super nice and courteous while he was here and got the job done when 2 others didn't. Again, I assume he wasn't even on "working hours" at the time. Haven't had experience with any other septic companies, but they certainly did right here. read more

I really do wish there was a negative star option. I used these guys for pumping for years and I assume they did okay with that. The last 2 times they pumped I was told my system was in excellent condition - the last one was LAST YEAR! This spring I put my home on the marked and had to get it certified. They charged me a big chunk of money to pump again and then NOT certify it. There was sewage sprayed on my deck and I smelled sewage for a week after throughout the house. They were completely unconcerned about that and told me to just wait a while until the smell went away. They wouldn't certify my tank (although they charged me for it) because they said it was in such bad shape I needed to replace it and that I'd have to wait over a month to schedule. I WAS IN ESCROW!!! Because of the location, this would have cost me 10's of thousands of dollars in service and repair to my property. I called in a septic contractor to get a bid and he said I had an excellent tank in excellent condition!!!! He said these guys deal drugs to customers, have sheriff calls for guns and fights within their family, etc. I was told these guys do okay on pumping but then rake you over when you're stuck in escrow. All I needed was a spray for tree roots and a small top section of the baffle wall repaired. It took a couple of hours, cost very little and was done the next day by the other company.
