They changed name to environmental something... Using the services for years Seems good for far. Well price is keeping mark up though

We live in Alpine, CA near San Diego. We used this place a few years ago and were pleased. I called them on a Wednesday and found that Atlas had been bought out by a company in Texas (Liquid Enviro). I then asked the prices and informed them that they will need to dig before they pump. He gave me prices, $525 plus $100per hour to dig. I said OK, then asked when they could do it. He said he wasn't sure but they would call me. I asked of there was a local number I could call and he said "No". We then waited for a call. Monday noon arrived, still no call. My Wife calls the number again, and the guy says he will send them an email (from Texas). About an hour later a local woman calls and says a guy will be there tomorrow (Tues.) Wait all day Tuesday and get a call about 2:30 from the Driver saying he had one stop and then would be out. He shows up at 5PM, looks at the spot (that my Grandson's had already partially dug) and groaned. He says he doesn't have time today to get it done. I say, OK then when, He says he had to go north in the AM so he would be here mid day. Two PM Wednesday rolls around, I call the drivers number, he is astonished that the company has not sent someone else out to dig. About ten minutes later a guy shows up, looks at the spot (half dug) and groans. I call the driver to tell him the other guy got here and he asks to talk to the digger guy. I hear them talking and the Digger is telling the other guy he started at 5AM and that he had a bad shoulder and probably couldn't get much done. He hangs up the phone and hands it to me. I Looked at him and said "so, you have a bad shoulder?" to which he replied "yes". I then told him that I was not going to pay someone with a bad shoulder to dig at $100per hour and to have a nice evening. We called the office and cancelled. Called A-1 Septic, the guy told us the drivers name and that they would be out between 10 and 12 on Friday. I will make a yelp comment after they come. Just run from Atlas (Liquid Enviro). read more

They are pretty expensive but that's kind of normal I guess. They do provide good customer service and their technicians are professional and accountable. We just had one time bad incident: one technician didn't show up but other than that they have been great. One time service is $125 read more

Atlas Pumping has been performing our grease trap cleaning since January 2004 and they've always kept the pricing the same, they call before showing up, and they fill out our grease trap form for us. They're also very good about sending us a receipt after they do their work, and they saved us a bunch of money by telling us when our grease trap needed replacement. Atlas Pumping is top notch at what they do ... if you own a catering company (like we do) or a restaurant, go with Atlas Pumping! read more

Three years ago when I used them they were great. They helped me find the septic tank, idk where it was. They kept the cleaning under a certain time limit; so it wasn't so expensive. I think they honored some sort of coupon. Good job done, much appreciated. So when I get a friendly reminder in the mail that it is time for another cleaning, I call, coupon in hand, ready to give them repeat business. Their receptionist couldn't seem to give me any clear time. Ultimately I got annoyed and I told her if you want my business, call me back when you can. She never did. Judging from the other reviews, the receptionist /scheduling end needs to get organized. I can't be the only one annoyed by this. read more

The guy who came out was super friendly and helpful answering my questions and were quick and effective. The office set up is a little weird having to get call backs because the "dispatch" people aren't there. Atlas was the only company from everyone I called who could give me the soonest appointment in general so that was nice at least. Cost is very in between some estimates I received so they are competitively priced. I did end up paying $460 to have my septic pumped. Five stars for the tech being a good sport. 4 stars overall for the appointment system but at the end of the day it's the techs work that counts. read more

Tom came out to check on my hot water which was acting up. He provided me great info to talk to The gas and electric company to get the gas situation fixed at my home. He told me after the gas situation was fixed to call him. Then several weeks later two days after the gas situation was fixed by SDG&E, I had no hot water and it was on a Sunday morning. He answered his phone and came out. He was very caring, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. He got the part needed to fix my hot water heater and fixed it quickly. Great service! read more

Other than receiving a call at 3:56am this morning informing me that the driver was en route and would arrive at 4:30am for a service that was between 5-6am they are really solid. We've never had an issue with them at all. The receptionists have always been friendly. I read a bad review from a woman who seems like she just got mad because of her own cheapness with coupons. Don't pay any attention to those. These guys are solid. read more

We had to get our septic tanks serviced and pumped. Francisco was awesome! He spent 4-5 hours digging by hand just to find the the covers. The entire time, Francisco was completely professional and curteouse. He also recommended we replace the lids to our tank because they were cracked and he provided us with an excellent referral from who we were able to get the covers from that same day. Long story short, if your looking for reliable, hard working septic company- doesn't get any better than Atlas Pumping and the service Francisco provided! read more

Well I will start from the beginning. I called on overtime three times and was disconnected each time before finally calling the backup number to get through to someone to let them know that there phones weren't working properly. They were efficient in having someone return the call and dispatch out a truck to do the job. However, the follow up and the people in the office have been hopeless. Five days later I can't get a copy of the invoice, a total amount for the job so I can close out the billing to my customer. There is apparently only one person in the office that is capable of scheduling appointments, but they are never in the office to perform their job. So when you call to make an appointment during regular business hours you are told by the person answering the telephone they will call you back several hours later with the availability if there is any. Called again two days later requesting a copy of the invoice and was told that there is only one person that does billing and she is not available. Speaking with Desiree she stated that Jen is the person who does the billing and she will be calling me back later today, we shall see. As a business owner this is not how our company is run so I am having a hard time with the fact that no one can ever help me or provide what I need to complete this job. Seems very unprofessional. 4-6-16: Received a phone call from the owner and office manager apologizing for the lack in communication and not receiving the paperwork that I had been requesting. As previously mentioned the experience with my original phone call and dispatch time was amazing it was the follow up I was having a hard time with. Dan, the owner and Kelly, the office manager did get back to me with all of the information and billing that I had requested within one hour. Kelly, the office manager explained some extenuating circumstances that had taken place in there office and went out of her way to make right by it. I appreciate that they both took the time to offer customer service to me and my business so I could in turn pass that on to our customer which all that I was asking for in the beginning. I believe in second chances and after speaking to both Dan and Kelly I just want to say thank you for making a wrong right. read more

Atlas has been doing my grease trap for years at my current business. I used Atlas when I worked in the corporate world. As such, today I decided I wanted get some help from their management as I just paid a plumber an outrageous amount of money for the 3rd month in a row to clean up my pipes, and acording to the Plumber, my main issue is the grease trap is too full. Atlas has just increased the visits to twice a month instead of monthly for me 3 months ago when the plumbing issues started. So I just looked at the work orders this time and the driver isnt requesting another increase in visits or writing down alarming amounts of matter in the reports. When I talked to my crew however, they did tell me the driver is coming in and out too fast and may not be taking enough time to clean this trap. Cncerned with this issues, I decided to speak to management and asked if they could have their driver pay a little extra attention to my grease trap. How susprised was I when I realized the Manager or Owner ? "BILL" just wouldnt level with me. Unable to LISTEN to my simple petitions and CRIES for help, BILL simply neglected to take my requests and kept on trying to sell me a 3rd visit a month, even after in his own words, there shouldnt be a need to service 3 times a month unless the readings are over 35% in combined matter (and mine are 25%). I was so out of saliva after a 15 minute talk and unable to get him to simply ask his driver to pay extra attention in the next visit to give us a decision on weather to get a 3rd visit or not, that I gave up and told Bill I couldnt waste any more time on the phone and thanks for his time. The cherry on the cake is when he called me back 30 seconds later and told me he didnt like the way our business was going so he will be back here to pick up his grease barrel (we dont have a barrel anyways) and stop doing business with us. To which of course, I didn't oppose, but.... Really????? I just cant figure out how someone with out any ability to LISTEN can run a business this size. read more

I was in a serious predicament this week and Atlas was the only company in town to help me out. I was due to give birth any day now when our drains all backed up in our house. Our septic needed to be pumped ASAP. I called around and the soonest appointment I could get was the next week. I called Atlas next and spoke with Jenn. Not only was she super helpful and sympathetic to our situation, but she got in contact with the county and found a map of our property to locate our septic tank (we didn't know where it was) within the hour! She then explained our situation to one of their drivers and they were at my house within 3 hours, digging up our septic and draining. They were very helpful and friendly. No other company in town even came close to the level of customer service they provided. I will always use Atlas and recommend them from now on. read more
