I saw that best pest had great yelp reviews. I was skeptical, but I called. I'm so glad I did. Tom came out right away and the cost was reasonable. Other neighbors have used different services who charge a LOT more and they weren't happy with the results. Best Pest will come back for a reduced rate within the next 3 months. I really think he found the entry point and I won't need him back, I'll update this if it continues to be an ongoing problem, but I think it is fixed, and I wish I would have called them sooner! One of the reasons I was skeptical at first was how many favorable reviews this business had.... I was not asked to review this business, I'm only doing it because it seems to have worked!!! Call them if you have mice! (I'll update if the mice come back...)

I cannot say enough good things about the exceptional service we received for yellow jacket removal…read morefrom Lake Cook Pest Control. From start to finish, the entire experience was professional, efficient, and stress-free. Dealing with yellow jackets can be frustrating and concerning, especially when they're in a difficult-to-reach area like our chimney. Kristan was knowledgeable, thorough, and clearly experienced in handling the situation. They took the time to explain the process, addressed our concerns, and made sure the job was done properly. What impressed me most was their professionalism, communication, and commitment to customer satisfaction. It's refreshing to find a company that takes pride in its work and genuinely cares about its customers. The owner always responds to my texts every time! If you're dealing with yellow jackets or any other pest issue, I would highly recommend Lake Cook Pest Control. Outstanding customer service, and a company you can trust to handle your concerns!

When he arrived, he talked me through the entire procedure, his eco safe products, how they work, as well as his success rate with this type of infestation (which had been 100% for all of 2018 by that point), when all of his post spraying directions are followed for two weeks until he returned for a follow up. He was very patient and friendly though my mind was still in panic mode. I was able to text or message him anytime with questions (which I did once my mind was able to calm down and think more clearly). I actually emailed him an entire list of 10-12 questions that I thought of a couple days later; and he answered each one thoroughly to assuage my concerns. We easily texted to schedule the 2nd appointment exactly 2 weeks later, which was a much quicker follow-up spraying. Once again, he made sure to explain how the product works, etc., and answer all of my questions patiently. I would definitely recommend Peter & his team (though I hope I never have to use them again, lol!). Pros: ~Cost estimate was acceptable, and even lower than some other competitive estimates, especially for using an eco friendly product ~Friendly, patient, and attentive to all concerns ~Great explanations of product used and the steps to follow before & after treatments ~Called or texted an update when he was on his way Cons (and these are a stretch!): ~I'm in the far SW burbs, and it was the holiday season (traffic); both times he was running very late to the original appointment scheduled--but called/texted when he was on his way both times ~Was a bit slow to answer my email questions, but it was Thanksgiving weekend, so I found it totally acceptable
