The woman who took my call was very pleasant and explained the process and was able to get me on the schedule rather quickly. The two workers arrived promptly on time and also called to give an approximate time of when they would arrive. They were informative, courteous and knowledgeable. They placed a cover on the floor in front of the fireplace to make sure that no damage or debris was on my wood floor. They explained how to turn on my fireplace and they did an inspection both of the fireplace inside and the venting outside. Plus they give a bottle of hot sauce! Highly recommend! read more

Our chimney had never been cleaned in the 5 years we've lived in our place, so I figured it had to filthy, right? Well, not so much. Kingsborough came out, took one look at my chimney and said "yeah...this is pristine. We don't need to clean it." They could have taken my money and run, and I really appreciate the honesty! I ended up paying for just an inspection instead of a cleaning. While he was here, the guy also took a peek at my dryer vents, which he also deemed clean. Replaced chimney cap and new stainless steel liner installed. We called to have them replace a chimney cap that had fallen off and asked them to check our chimney attached to the hot water heater. We knew there was a leak, and weren't sure if we needed a cleaning or a new liner. They came out and took pictures of the inside showing us where the old clay liner had collapsed and was blocking the venting. They installed the liner, gave us a new chimney cap, cleaned out all the debris inside (we were shocked at how much crud there was inside) and they even sealed the hole in the wall. They did a phenomenal job and the workman kept the house clean and tidy. We also have a fireplace that won't work because it shares another chimney with our furnace, and they gave us several options to get our fireplace working again. We plan on using them for that work in the future. read more

Kingsborough Chimney Sweeps did a phenomenal job and spend 8 hours cleaning my 3 chimneys, all heating/cooling ductwork, dryer vent, and sanitized the ductwork, as well. Sean and his partner were extremely polite, knowledgeable and the clean up following the project was very thorough. The team also sealed the large brick chimney and repaired cracks in the chimney crown and sealed the crown with Chimney Saver Crown Coating. After speaking with the owner about his products and the experience that his company brought to the job, as well as seeking information from other contractors and researching additional data about the process and products used, we felt that we definitely overpaid. Sean did a fantastic job installing a stainless steel lining system in my chimney and replacing and reconnecting piping in my basement. Also installed a top plate kit and stainless raincap. The work was completed in the time period that I was told it would be and they were neat and clean working on the indoor portion of the job. Heater kept turning itself off due to exhaust being clogged. Furnace guy shut it all down and said he doesn't do exhaust work. I called Kingsborough. They came out the next day. within an hour he cleared out a huge birds nest and had the heat up and running. Doubt I ever need a chimney sweep again but if I did I would definitely use this one again. read more

I live in an older house and we had never used the fireplace since we moved in 8 years ago. I called Kingsborough and told them all I wanted was an inspection and a cleaning. They told me the technician would be at my house within a four hour time frame but they always call (which he did) when they are one hour out. The technician was very professional and he did a great job. He recommended a new liner and another sealer that is required for safety on new builds, but did not make a hard sell just recommended it. This was the first time I used Kingsborough and was very satisfied with the lead time for an appointment, the time that it took to clean a very dirty chimney/fire place and best of all Shawn took great care to clean up afterward and leave my house without a trace of what came out of that fireplace. The pricing was the best I found after checking 3 or 4 other companies for the cleaning. Nothing like having a coupon, then having to suffer through the high pressure up-sell tactics.
