Replaced chimney cap and new stainless steel liner installed. We called to have them replace a chimney cap that had fallen off and asked them to check our chimney attached to the hot water heater. We knew there was a leak, and weren't sure if we needed a cleaning or a new liner. They came out and took pictures of the inside showing us where the old clay liner had collapsed and was blocking the venting. They installed the liner, gave us a new chimney cap, cleaned out all the debris inside (we were shocked at how much crud there was inside) and they even sealed the hole in the wall. They did a phenomenal job and the workman kept the house clean and tidy. We also have a fireplace that won't work because it shares another chimney with our furnace, and they gave us several options to get our fireplace working again. We plan on using them for that work in the future. read more

I recently moved to the area and needed to have the gas fireplace inspected. I called Kingsborough chimney sweeps based on the reviews and Yelp. The woman who took my call was very pleasant and explained the process and was able to get me on the schedule rather quickly. The two workers arrived promptly on time and also called to give an approximate time of when they would arrive. They were informative, courteous and knowledgeable. They placed a cover on the floor in front of the fireplace to make sure that no damage or debris was on my wood floor. They explained how to turn on my fireplace and they did an inspection both of the fireplace inside and the venting outside. Plus they give a bottle of hot sauce! Highly recommend! read more

These guys were great. Came out and checked out our chimney very quickly after we reached out. Super helpful and informative, they told us our options about how to make our chimney safe for use and were up front and honest about the process. Our ancient chimney would take too much to get up and running for it to be worth it for us but now we know and won't burn our house down in ignorance. read more

The Kingsborough team has done work for me in 3 locations. Each time, they have provided excellent service. Their staff are quick to respond. They provide pictures of the chimney interiors and provide expert opinions to ensure a safe fireplace experience. read more

Great service! Shawn answered my questions, told me what was creating so much soot, corrected the log placement, and showed me how to light a fire without creating a massive fireball. He was HONEST and didn't try selling me a cleaning when I didn't need one. I'll definitely use this company again. Knocking a star off because my initial appointment went by without a call or show. Turns out my sheet didn't get picked that morning, which is an unfortunate accident, but caused a reschedule and some annoyance on my end. read more

we have been using Kingsborough Chim. Sweep for several years. always high quality work and honest with findings and actions that need to be taken. They alerted us to a fire that had occurred in the chimney, showed pictures and thankfully we were able to get this all repaired without incident. they will also let you know how chimney appears related to the wood you have been burning. Efficient, competent and reasonable with cost. read more

Didn't provide photos of the chimney that were supposed to be emailed even after numerous requests.

This company is the simply just the very BEST. We had a horrible situation finding out the hard way with our dryer exhaust that was not non-existent. We were highly recommended to Kingsborough Chimney Sweep. They came out during their absolute belief season and came to our rescue!! I could not be happier from scheduling this job and the owner of Kingborough was very much involved. Hats off to these people!! I will continue to use Kingborough - they are by the very best. read more

Our chimney had never been cleaned in the 5 years we've lived in our place, so I figured it had to filthy, right? Well, not so much. Kingsborough came out, took one look at my chimney and said "yeah...this is pristine. We don't need to clean it." They could have taken my money and run, and I really appreciate the honesty! I ended up paying for just an inspection instead of a cleaning. While he was here, the guy also took a peek at my dryer vents, which he also deemed clean. I will absolutely have them come back in a few years to check things out again! read more

Kingsborough Chimney Sweeps did a phenomenal job and spend 8 hours cleaning my 3 chimneys, all heating/cooling ductwork, dryer vent, and sanitized the ductwork, as well. Sean and his partner were extremely polite, knowledgeable and the clean up following the project was very thorough. The team also sealed the large brick chimney and repaired cracks in the chimney crown and sealed the crown with Chimney Saver Crown Coating. They also replaced the 3 flue caps with stainless steel caps. They performed a lot of work in just one day and never stopped until they were finished. Very impressive! read more

We had a great experience with Kingsborough. They arrived on time, did the work quickly, gave us some advice and we paid the same quoted amount. Shawn was very friendly and knowledgable. Recommended! read more

The pricing structure seemed high for the work that was performed. After speaking with the owner about his products and the experience that his company brought to the job, as well as seeking information from other contractors and researching additional data about the process and products used, we felt that we definitely overpaid. Make sure to do your research and get several estimates ahead of time. We based our decision to use this company on a personal recommendation and that was a mistake. read more

I recently had a quote for over a thousand dollars for some work to get done on my chimney. It didn't seem right and I wanted a second opinion. After looking on Yelp I found Kingsborough. The tech. took pictures and showed me what was wrong and fixed it the same day. All for under $200. Wow what a difference! read more

Clean, courteous, and efficient. We used this service to sweep our chimney and to clean our dryer vent from the outside in. I am extremely pleased with the friendly service, how neat they were, and their willingness to explain how they do what they do. read more

Received several recommendations for Kingsborough Chimney Sweeps. They had a seasonal Special which I took advantage. I never used my fireplace out of fear and after Sean cleaned and inspected my fireplace I'm anxious to begin using it. Sean called an hour before and when he was on his way. Great customer service. Gave me some recommendations which I'm considering. read more

Sean from Kingsborough first came to my townhouse to inspect the fireplace as one of the contingencies in my purchase contract. He was thorough and on time. He pointed out a small crack on the interior, but told me not to worry about it as it isn't significant. Now a few months later I had him install a river rock insert. He knew just the right way to optimize the look of the rocks. Never upsold me. I've already recommended Kingsborough to a friend. read more

Sean did a fantastic job installing a stainless steel lining system in my chimney and replacing and reconnecting piping in my basement. Also installed a top plate kit and stainless raincap. The work was completed in the time period that I was told it would be and they were neat and clean working on the indoor portion of the job. Dean is friendly and extremely professional and explained everything about the job to me. I wish that I had a fireplace, so that I could use them to care for it! read more

Did a great job cleaning the chimney and the guys were very friendly. They quoted further recommended work and it was over double other highly rated companies! Careful of pricing!! Scott H. (earlier rater) was spot on! We took the word of a previous owner...glad we did research! read more

Moved into a new place and Sean came out to clean out the ducts, check the fireplace, clean out the dryer vent and check the bathroom vents. Heater kept turning itself off due to exhaust being clogged. Furnace guy shut it all down and said he doesn't do exhaust work. I called Kingsborough. They came out the next day. within an hour he cleared out a huge birds nest and had the heat up and running. Doubt I ever need a chimney sweep again but if I did I would definitely use this one again. read more

I live in an older house and we had never used the fireplace since we moved in 8 years ago. I called Kingsborough and told them all I wanted was an inspection and a cleaning. They told me the technician would be at my house within a four hour time frame but they always call (which he did) when they are one hour out. The technician was very professional and he did a great job. He recommended a new liner and another sealer that is required for safety on new builds, but did not make a hard sell just recommended it. Good company to use. read more

Professional, courteous and did a great job! Kingsborough Chimney Sweep is on my list from here on out and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. This was the first time I used Kingsborough and was very satisfied with the lead time for an appointment, the time that it took to clean a very dirty chimney/fire place and best of all Shawn took great care to clean up afterward and leave my house without a trace of what came out of that fireplace. The pricing was the best I found after checking 3 or 4 other companies for the cleaning. Nothing like having a coupon, then having to suffer through the high pressure up-sell tactics. How refreshing to call a service company into your home, they do a great job at the quoted price and then leave. Not sure about other folks, but this doesn't happen to me very often. Honesty and integrity; a rare find, indeed!! read more

Sean and Scott came to put a new cover on the roof for the dryer vent. They showed up on time and very friendly. Explained what they were doing and gave me an idea how long it would take. Very happy with the service performed. Sean called an hour before arrival. He was very professional and friendly. The whole fireplace cleaning took 30 minutes. The price did seem a bit high even with the local discount. But was also lower than others in the area. read more
