Hey Abbot! Another 5 start review here. I bought a new house and wanted to change my locks. A-Abbot was able to come out to my house next day and change out the locks and give me 4 sets of new keys for about $100, yes, only $100 for the peace of mind of having new locks at my new house. It's not often that you can get quick service, excellent service, and affordable service all in one transaction but A-Abbot did just that. I wish all businesses were like this. Highly recommend! Went to Abbott lock to day to have a couple commercial lock cylinders changed out to the multi-lock key way. Multi-lock is great but once you choose a locksmith you are stuck with them, they have there own key way. Dropped off two locks and was told it was going to be 25 mins I told him I will step out side make a few call and be right back. Walked back in the store and nothing was even done had not even started on my locks. With a smile and a chuckle he sad it would be another 25 mins would you like to start waiting again as he helped customer that came in after me. I said no I will go down the street to COMLOCK on Katella they are a multi-lock dealer as we'll and took great care of us. Highly recommend them. Abbott lock is very under staffed according to the counter help. There's better places to go if you value your time. The owner did call me back and apologized and offered to help but it was to late. I went into the Abbott location in orange last week with a key to be made and programmed for my Nissan Justin Kaplan was the sales representative that was helping me do you notice that I ordered the wrong key and advise me to re-order The right key the other key was just a shell anyhow I got the other key took it back today Tuesday, 24 September Justin was there gladly remember who I was took the key programmed it cut the other key that I had that just will open the front door but will not start anyhow very happy with Justin and look forward to going back to the locksmith again read more

Dropped my keys down and elevator shaft....yes, really....and I have no spare! Most places required me to bring the truck in to have the key coded or refused to have one made without a key to copy because they were concerned about theft. However, A-Abbot came out, within an hour of me calling (before business hours, the owner just happened to answer), they dropped the price to be competitive with the dealer. Within two hours I had a functioning key and fob for my truck and was on my way. Absolute awesome service and would definitely recommend them. read more

I was in a pretty sticky situation when my only car key snapped in half when opening my trunk, fortunately I was able to find Jim at A-Abbot. Jim communicated with me over the phone and made it real easy when it came to evaluating if he could help me or not amd then finding the most efficient way to help me with my broken key. Once I got to the shop after communicating with him over both phone and email he helped me within 15 mins and replaced my key just like that! All I can say is this locksmith saved me $100 with not having to buy a new remote key for my car. I was told by other companies (pep boys, another locksmith, autozone) that I would have to buy a new key to replace the battery because the casing would not open from a stubborn striped screw. My deadbolt stopped turning with my house key, so I called for an appointment with A-Abbot. Scheduling was easy, and John called before arriving to make sure the appointment time was still okay. He was friendly, professional and courteous. He fixed the deadbolt and the door handle, then before leaving, noticed the door handle didn't latch when the door closed. It never has latched properly and we have to push it closed and deadbolt the door for it to stay shut. I didn't think to ask about him repairing it, but he immediately said, "Oh, I can easily fix that." It's wonderful to have the door better than it was before! Above and beyond that's what I have to say about Darrin. I walked in with what I thought was a replacement case for my electronic key for my Mercedes as my original was cracked. Darrin said he couldn't promise he would be able to switch out my case and said he would charge me a half hour labor to try and made it very clear NO GUARANTEES. At first all seemed good I took my key after they replaced the motherboard from old cracked case to the new one and went out to test it. It opened and locked my doors opened my trunk set off the panic alarm so I was happy I got it my car inserted the key and attempted to start my car but the key wouldn't turn. Darrin checked things out and found out the motherboard had been damaged in the transfer as my replacement case wasn't an original replacement case. Darrin again said he couldn't promise anything but would attempt to solder the broken piece back on the motherboard and he actually had to grind down the point of his solder gun to try to do the micro surgery on my motherboard. He had to put everything back in the cracked key case handed me my key and at that point I became the most religious atheist you've ever seen. I inserted the key and THANK JEBUS! it worked. Mind you after charging me a half hour labor to switch my case out he could have just left me stranded and say I told you no guarantees. Not only did he earn my business he also gained my respect. read more

This place is amazing and should have been the very first call I made. Everything was perfect and very smooth, and they definitely exceeded my expectations. I called up these guys and told them I wanted to have some Mul T Locks installed in my home. Unlike a few other places I called, these guys got straight to the point very quickly, definitely knew what they were talking about. They scheduled a same-day evening appointment for one of their locksmiths to meet me after-hours, which I thought was amazing. I was told to expect the technician between 7-9PM. Scott was the technician who called me to give me his ETA. It's great that they call when they're on their way. Scott got there a little before 7PM, much sooner than I was expecting, so that was a very pleasant surprise. It took about 45-60 minutes in total, and it really seemed like he was in and out in no time. He knows his stuff! Very personable guy and we just had some small talk. The estimate I was given was spot on with no surprises. Wish I would have known about this place sooner, would have saved me lots of headaches. These guys are great. It was noon on Thursday when we discovered that the front door lock to our house was not working. By 2:00 pm John was over and fixed our problem. They didn't have our lock stocked in the van and I had issues going on at home preventing me from going to the hardware store. John went to the hardware store and had us all fixed in minimal time. I have used A-Abbot for years to duplicate keys. I no longer try Home Depot or other amateur key guys because often the keys do not work. I have never had any problems with an A-Abbot key. I went in last week and decided to write a review after excellent customer service. They will put your key on your ring and apply the little plastic tops that are a pain to insert onto the key. The shop is a little hard to find (park in the lot furnished for Michaels and the pet store). In addition, they are only open business hours M - F. However, you will receive keys that work and you will not have to use a stapler removal to mess with the rings on your keys. read more
