We recently finished a large remodel and needed about 20 locks rekeyed to a single matching key. Jordan and his son/apprentice, also named Jordan, arrived on time. They were well dressed in company shirts, and driving a nice and clean work van. They were polite, professional, and work quickly/efficiently. As a father myself, it was fun to see a father teaching his son a skilled trade. After they left I realized we all missed a lock. I left them a message and 10 minutes later they were back and doing the last lock. Locksmith because we had use them for my mom a couple of months ago when she moved up the street. I called and asked if they could come on Wednesday and they said yes and said between 9-10am. I can think of a lot of things I would rather do with $195 than spending it as a result of my own stupidity but if you find yourself in the same situation, I can't imagine not feeling good about deciding to do business with OC Locksmith. Went next door to take care of my neighbor's cats and ended up locking myself out of my house. DUH! First called AAA but I downgraded my plan earlier this year to Plus so didn't have locksmith service anymore. They gave me a number to a locksmith. Called that place first which turned out to be a "Dispatch Service". I think that should be called a Scam Service. Won't give you a price, you have to pay the $19 service call and then find out what it will be. Fast talking trying to avoid giving any information. No thanks. Lucky me, after a Google search I found OC Locksmith. Spoke with Gary who was able to quickly give me a the price ($195) and was on his way. He and another technician (failed to get his name), were on time, courteous, professional and Superman fast! I can't say enough good things about O.C. Locksmith - Phil and Dave. I hired this company to install about 25 door handles, locks and deadbolts. They were quick and responsive from beginning to end. They take pride in their work. Dave and his very able assistant, Jordon, didn't just swap out the lock sets with the ones that were already in the door; after they installed the new hardware they fine-tuned each door so it closed and latched and locked easily. The estimate was clear, the communication about appointments was outstanding. They didn't leave any debris when they were finished--all I had were new handles and locks on 56-year-old doors that worked like they were new. This company touts itself as being highly professional, etc. After reading the reviews here we decided to try them. We had an appointment, which they canceled same day last minute. We rescheduled and they were supposed to come the following morning, again, first thing. No one showed up. If you have an emergency, don't count on these guys to show up. They don't do what they say they're going to do. And as an added comment, they told me that they had "wasted" several hours researching our locks. This offsets the countless hours they wasted of my time as I waited for them to show up. I do not recommend this company. read more

Zero stars. Will not use again. Although the "gentleman" who was here to fix my tenants' locks was incredibly efficient he has ZERO patience or customer service. He kept rambling off numbers different than what I was told by Phil when I made the appointments yesterday. When I tried to get hold of my tenants to authorize a different amount he became impatient stating that his time was incredibly precious and refused to do work on one of the units if I couldn't get ahold of my clients in a poor cell phone reception area. Wouldn't have taken more than five minutes. He showed up early, rushed me around and was confusing with prices. Certainly I can find another locksmith to use in the future. read more

IF you use this company only trust DAVE. why?, i wanted a keyless lock so here's the story, Sat. morning a employee comes 30 mins.late and brings his son (he's teaching him) all he did was play with his phone. 15 min later he says he's done.he shows me how to do code. leaves. I open the two boxes and find all the parts for the door strike he never changed it. I call he says oh i'm sorry i'll be back to install it .i said no way i want to talk to your boss .boss calls says i'm sorry, i've had complaints before so i fired him. so since its only the strike i said mon.will be ok. wife trys to lock door from outside 6:00 p.m. no work. call owner no answer, sunday call 3 times at 1:30 p.m. owner calls, i tell him door will not lock, the handle is wrong finish also. he says i will have DAVE .there mon. morning ok 2nd nite that we move big chair against door (my lock) DAVE comes looks at it says i'll be right back 15 min.later he's back changes handle , takes lock out reinstalls it. takes 2 hours and he did first class job.does owner call back and offer to change price? nope. get this they bought lock and handle home depot. $125.00 charged me $394.00 . so my advice (1) buyer beware (2) if you use them only let Dave do your job, he's a master locksmith. no sorry grapes you live and learn i'm 79, and still learning. Had to do a lock out on a tenant I evicted today. I wasn't notified until late yesterday and my regular guy wasn't returning my calls. I called OC Locksmith at 10am this morning to see if they could be at my lock out at noon. I was told it was a really short notice, but he'd take care of me. They arrived before I got there at 11:45. They person I spoke to was very rude had no idea about the lock I was talking about even though they "do everything" according to their website. They then refused to do the job. These guys could not have been more helpful - we called them with a front door problem and instead of driving out and charging us an arm and a leg, they talked us through how to fix the problem ourselves and even recommended a store where we could get the lock we needed (we had difficulties because our original lock was so old) and get further help for someone else. HORRIBLE SERVICE On my initial call to get an estimate, the owner Phil insulted every customer he's ever had by saying "Everybody always gets the wrong lock, people have no clue what they're doing when they buy their lock." Okaaaaayyy....when I convinced him after 10 minutes of haggling that I knew what I was doing and I already had the correct lock, I went against my gut instinct and scheduled an appointment. He sends some a guy out who moans and complains about everything and his brother. Then, this clown wants to charge me DOUBLE the estimated cost, and gives me these bs excuses!!!
