Foolishly locked myself out of the house this week after thinking I put my keys in my bag. As soon as I got to my car I realized I never grabbed them! Called A-Aabbitt locksmith's who happen to be a local business (which was even more awesome), came to my house in under 10 minutes and got me back inside the house in less than 30 minutes. He charge me exactly what he quoted. Super friendly fast service. professional and love that I was able to support local neighborhood business. read more

We had THEEEE best experience with David! He's professional, communicative, and courteous! I wasn't expecting anyone to answer when I contacted him at 11pm, but he did and I was so grateful. He was flexible with his arrival time to fit my brother's work schedule and was able to make 2 keys for us within a reasonable amount of time. He even went above and beyond after realizing that the battery was dead on the car, he was nice enough to give it a jump at no extra charge. Definitely worth the money spent and we will keep him in mind for all of our future needs. We walked away feeling like he cared about us as customers . Excellent customer service all around! read more

Great, fast service!!! Came right away when we called. Fair price!! Definitely recommend!!

I locked myself out when I was taking the family for breakfast. So I called and got an immediate answer. I was told he would be 30-40 minutes and that worked perfect so we could finish breakfast. I got a call saying he was 5 minutes away. Once he got to the house he was very efficient and friendly. Would absolutely use his services again. read more

Dave is the bees knees. He was fast, he was cool. He was more than professional. He came out and rescued us on a Sunday night with RV keys that apparently the 15 other locksmiths that I tried calling were absolutely stumped by. Highly highly recommended. He is now our new Locksmith that we will refer to any of our other friends that might pull a stupid move like we did and lose a set of RV keys..... read more

Dave was great. He was Fast and Efficient with installing a deadbolt lock for us. Dave did a top quality job and his handling of everything was very professional from first phone call to job clean up. He even tighten some door hinge screws that he noticed were loose. We highly recommend Dave as a professional locksmith. read more

David was friendly and professional, and we had our locks changed in no time. Excellent service.

My mailkey snapped and was stuck in the lock. After calling and explaining the issue, I was quoted very fairly and given attentive service. It took less than two hours for Dave to arrive and took him only 15 minutes to replace the whole lock while also providing two new keys! Service was remarkable and Dave was extremely kind, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend giving Dave a call! read more

Had Dave come by to re-key my house. He was right on time, very friendly and did a great job! Can't recommend him highly enough!

When I am eulogized, I want them to say that the thing she enjoyed the most in life is the wind on her face while she drove her scooter. It's not livin' if you're not scootin'. My guy had his bag stolen on a gig and in it was our sole scooter key. Every repair person I called suggested that my entire ignition needed to be replaced. One even suggested, due to the fact my scooter is a off brand Chinese scooter that I shouldn't even repair it and buy a new one. Yeah....just buy a new scooter, sure. I called several locksmiths and to no avail, none could or would make a new key for my poor scoot! Things were looking grim. I called A-Aabbitt where I explained my problem and was met with a, "Sure! shouldn't be a problem!" He was at my apartment complex around an hour and a half later. After working two hours straight in a super hot garage, he produced a new key for my scooter without even having a base brand key! He was been working with locks for 20 years. Truly an expert and a savior! They are the lock whisperers. read more

Who has two thumbs and locked herself out of her apartment during a snow storm? This girl! When I called them, a man answered right away (on new years day) and told me he'd be here in less than an hour. He arrived within the time frame and was very professional and nice. It took him less than a minute to make my day and let me back in. The price for this service is pretty steep, but that's what I get for being a dumbass. I'd definitely recommend this business to everyone! read more

Yesterday I locked my house keys in my garage, and called A-Aabbitt to help me open the lock on my garage so I could get in. They told me it would be 30-45 minutes, and the locksmith showed up in about 40 minutes. He was a nice guy, worked quickly and got the door open in about 2 minutes flat. $100 bucks with a Yelper discount, not too bad for a stupid mistake. However, one thing really bothered me-- he never asked for ID or any proof that we lived there. He just asked if we called, and then busted right in. It was really disconcerting that a locksmith would just open up a door without even making an attempt to verify that the place is yours. It just seemed a little shady and rubbed me the wrong way. read more

Came to our place of business within hours of our call. Knows what he's doing and definitely experienced. We recommend him!

I consider myself a responsible man and after giving up the hunt for my car keys somewhere in Lincoln Park, I yelped 24 hour locksmith. Let me inform you its 11 pm on a cold ass monday night, my impatient GF was flying back to California tomorrow and majority of the locksmiths were estimating about $300 for service. I called David and he was there within 30mins, finished about an 1hr later and gave me a 5% off veterans discount hahah.. NICE.. THANK YOU AGAIN. read more

They just came out....I was in a real bind as I had no one in town who had my keys, my dog inside, and it is freezing out!!! Aabbitt got here in 30 minutes as promised, got me in without having to drill, drove me around the corner to get cash, then drove me home because it's so cold. He offered...I didn't ask. SUPER fast, SUPER friendly, SUPER glad I contacted them. THANK YOU Aabbitt! Spencer read more

The best!!! My key broke in half into lock to our building and I called A Aabitt and they arrived and fixed all within 1 hour of making initial call. Super friendly and professional locksmith. Will definitely recommend!!!!! read more

Called at 7.40pm on Super Bowl Sunday when we got locked out of our apartment. My 20 month old daughter was ready to melt-down. Aabbitt said they'd be there in 20 minutes. He was there in 15 and had my lock open in 2 minutes flat. Highly recommended. read more

Worked with David and he was very professional and prompt. I had some issues with a lock on my gate and they came out and gave me an honest assessment of the job. Great customer service. Fast. read more

Love this locksmith! He went above and beyond the call of duty when I was trapped on my roof. My deck doors auto lock when closed-I had just moved in and didn't know :( Anyway, the locksmith was able to get my back door opened after squeezing through a tight spot and hopping a fence. He had that sucker open in 2 minutes and was then able to walk up and rescue me from freezing on my roof at night. I never thought of a locksmith as a hero before, but I do now. read more

I just had a great experience with A-Aabbitt! I called this morning and they scheduled someone for 11 am - and I was told the locksmith would call at 10:45 and he called at 10 am and let me know he would be there by 11 am. His name was David - he was poliet, professional, fast and did a fantastic job. I would recommend these folks anytime and would use them (although no one ever HOPEs they need a locksmith!) I am impressed and quite appreciate the good work and wanted to share my review. thanks David! read more

Dave was terrific. I lost my keys while out of town. He met me coming home from the airport, got me into my place pretty quickly, and made sure to check my ID. I could not have asked for better service and his rates were very reasonable. read more

Came and quickly bailed us out of a lock-out situation on a Sunday. Quick, honest and friendly. Highly recommend.

Although I have never before needed a locksmith service, after using Aabbitt recently I would never look anywhere else! My husband & I realized that we boarded our plane home without our keys, and we called ahead to request help- they were extremely accommodating & timed their arrival with ours back to the house. They worked efficiently to get us back into our place and were professional & courteous the entire time (it was cold outside, late at night & we had a rough day travelling). Definitely recommend them! read more

I had used this company awhile ago and their service was excellent. I needed a locksmith at work and called them for some desk and cabinet keys. David was very professional and did an excellent job. My company has since moved and they've done all the work that was needed - prompt and done right. Highly recommend this company. read more

My exterior house door wasn't locking properly. David quickly diagnosed my problem- adjusting the hole in the door jam and aligning the strike plate correctly. He was polite, efficient, and on time, completing the job in 20 minutes! I had hired another locksmith prior to A-Aabbitt. The locksmith from the other company did not solve my problem and was not able to troubleshoot my lock issues. Save yourself the time and energy by calling A-Aabbitt first. You won't be sorry! read more

Better late than never review. My parents in the city needed a locksmith last spring, the owner who I spoke with was very professional. When he arrived at my parents, he was very knowledgeable and detailed in in his work. So glad I found this through other reviews. Thank you for doing such a great job and being reliable. read more

This locksmith was a good locksmith but he smelled like marijuana. It was so strong that I had to leave the room! read more

Called up about having a lock re-keyed. They quoted me 45 minutes but were there in a half hour. Excellent service and timing! Would definitely recommend. read more

This review is long past due. Had the longest 36 hours possible after moving, flew across the country back to Chicago and turns out I left my house keys in my car in LA. Was devastated and about to melt down like the 2 year old in last review. It was 1:30am, I called and he said he'd be there in 40 minutes. 20 minutes later he arrived, had my door opened and even helped me carry my suitcases up the stairs. Nicest guy in the world and highly recommend A-Aabbitt! read more

I was recently locked out of my house and called A-Aabitt locksmith. I spoke with the owner Dave(very nice) and he said they would try to arrive in 30-40 minutes. This was good as i live in downtown and it was rush hour. I thought it would be at least an hour wait. Not only did he show up in 30 minutes he had me in my house in less than 5 minutes. And the cost was very reasonable. Better than other quotes i received. If you are in the Chicago land area and need a locksmith... You will be very happy you called A-Aabitt Locksmith!! read more

Let's begin with I'm an idiot who locked myself out of my mothers house while I was dog sitting, and then I had to find a locksmith! I jumped on yelp and found this place with great reviews and I wasn't led astray. It was about 1 am. and when I called they answered the phone quickly and politely; they gave me a quote on price and an estimated arrival time of about 40 minutes. I'm glad it wasn't a cold night because I had locked myself out in pajamas and had to wait the full 40 minutes, but he was not late. I was really happy that he was on time and friendly when he got there and didn't look sketchy or creepy as I had imagined he would. It literally took him 30 seconds to unlock my door (I used a stop watch to time him). My moms beagle and I were reunited happily and quickly; what more could you ask for from a locksmith? He didn't have to damage anything or change anything simply picked the lock. The only reason I docked a star is because the grand total for my stupidity was $110!! I have never been in this situation before and thought for LITLERALLY 30 seconds of work $110 was a bit high but I do understand they are a 24 hour service. God forbid I do this again I would definitely call them back and would recommend this service to anyone. read more

We locked ourselves out of our condo. I called A-Aabbitt and got their answering machine. The message told me to leave a message and that they would return my call within 5 minutes. They were true to their word. They told me that they could be there in 30 minutes and to go have a cup of coffee and that they would call me when they were in the neighborhood. Once again, they were true to their word! We were back in the condo in less than 15 minutes. I highly recommend A-Aabbitt Locksmith Service. read more

I lost my keys and was locked out of my apartment. I called Aabbitt at 2:00 a.m. and by 2:30 a.m. a nice gentleman was at my apartment. He unlocked my door quickly and was very kind even though it was the middle of a Sunday night. The other place I called took three hours to even call to tell me they were on their way. I highly recommend Aabbitt; I have them programed in my phone for the next time this happens! read more

Best service! They were extremely prompt, knowledgeable, and so efficient. I needed two locks replaced and then ended up doing all three so I could use one key. They even pointed out that I needed an extra brace on the outside door that my neighbors all had but I didnt know that I should. So great and friendly too.. highly recommend! read more

The quickest and fastest service. After waiting almost two hours for R.O.N locksmith. I decided to call another locksmith. Aabbitt showed up in less than 20 mins. Very professional and quick services! Thank you David!!! read more

After my somewhat negative review recently, I received a call from the owner who reminded me that they did not install the galvanized insert and only changed our keys. So, I stand corrected. However, my rating level stands as they failed to diagnose the issues we were having, while another locksmith did. We have also had key problems on another lock where they re-keyed, since day one. The owner mentioned that they warranty their workmanship...I just wish he had told me that when they did the initial work. read more

Great service at a reasonable price! I bought a foreclosure and the bank destroyed the front door lock and I had no keys for the back door. Dan was my locksmith and he worked his magic! Replaced the front lock in a jiffy. Also, somehow figure out how to make a new key for the back door, even though that type of lock hasn't been made in 50 years! He was on time and curtious. When the work was finished I was pleasantly surprised at the price. I highly recommend A-Aabbitt in Brookfield! read more
