    First off let me say that I initially met with Lisa who was very friendly and seemed trustworthy…read more I explained to her that after a check engine light showed up I had Auto-zone run their scanner on my vehicle. They did so free of charge and returned error code P1757 recommending to replace the governor and possibly the transducer in the transmission. I further explained to Lisa that after the governor and the transducer were replaced, the check engine light returned with the error code P0868. She said they could do a full diagnostics for $150 made be a transmission specialist. She made a note of the recent history on my ticket. I told her I would leave the scanner reports and changed parts in my truck cab in case their technician needed to refer to them. A few hours later, a gentleman who I believe to be the owner called me, saying that they would need me to approve an expense of $600 to $900 for them to finish the diagnostic, because they would need to drop the pan to go further into figuring out what is wrong. I declined and asked when I could pick up my truck. He said he would have to see because they would first have to put my truck back together if I was declining to go any further. I confirmed I wanted my truck back and he said he could have it ready later in the day. When I got there i asked what they had done. it turns out they had only plugged in their scanner and printed out the report. The same type of report I had told them Autozone had done for free and that I had left for their convenience in my truck. I paid my $156 and asked to see the report. obviously it returned the exact same two error codes P0868 and P1757. Nothing more. It took them all but 3mn to start the engine, plug in the scanner, turn off the engine then plug the scanner into their computer and print out the report. So when I remembered that over the phone, the owner had claimed that if I wanted my truck back he would have to see to "put it back together" this was a huge red flag as to their honesty and straight forwardness. When I asked him in person why they did not do more diagnostics then simply running a scanner, when they knew I had already done so, he responded that he was not going to have his guys drop the transmission pan for $150. I would not have had a problem if he had been upfront and had explained that his diagnostics would be nothing more than plugging a scanner. i would have likely skipped that step and asked how much it would cost me to get an actual professional transmission diagnostic. When I got home from their shop, I was surprised to realize that my box with the parts and diagnostics report made by Autozone were no longer in my truck. Needless to say I will find someone else to work on my vehicle.

    Terrible is the best I can describe the service. I had a specific appointment to have my truck…read morelooked at. I brought it in with a relatively minor problem. Sadly, the shop uses appointments like doctors. Where appointments are for patients, but not for the attending physician. So, I waited a couple of days to get the appointment, and had the truck towed in before the specified time. They never called me, I called them, ONLY to be informed, they never got to my vehicle and it would be the next business day it would be looked at. The shop was closed for the weekend, ugh! I waited until later the Monday afternoon, still no call from them. So, I called again. And, got informed they couldn't look at my vehicle until Tuesday because they were short handed. I finally got a call on Tuesday the truck was ready. When I asked about getting a discount due to the truck languishing in their shop for 2 days, (plus the weekend they were not open). They got really pissy with me about me being irritated due to not getting my truck back "sooner". I was charged the full price. No apologies, MY RECOMMENDATION, IS TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. ITS A SHIT-SHOW for customer service. Please explaine to me in specific language exactly what an APPOINTMENT is for! They were great at excuses but terrible at service. Never use them!

    DON'T GO HERE IF YOU'RE IN A HURRY TO GET YOUR CAR BACK! (42 days for us) OR IF YOU VALUE…read moreCOMMUNICATION AND MECHANICS/OWNERS WHO SEEM TO GIVE A D*MN. Our daughter had her car towed there on Oct 9, 2025 for a torque replacement. Mind you, this wasn't a whole transmission replacement, this was for ONE PART originally and a 2nd minor part that they SAID she needed. She didn't hear a word from them for a week, so her husband called them and they said they'd ordered the part and it would be there the next day. Another week went by, so her husband called AGAIN and they said, it's ready for pick up, no explanation about the long wait. And why didn't they call to say that it was ready?? So they bring it around and it's COVERED in leaves and debris, so it obviously has been sitting out back under the trees for god knows how long. So she drives it home (about 6 blocks), and the very next day that she has it, as she's about a mile from home, the "Check Engine" light comes on! So, back to Gallo's. They don't act apologetic, surprised, embarrassed, nothing that this has happened. So THIS time, it's FOUR MORE WEEKS with NO call or communication. We're figuring the part was faulty and they had to send for a replacement and the supply chain was slow, or maybe they found something else wrong? So her husband calls them, they say, "Call back this afternoon." He calls back, they say, "We'll call you in an hour." Did they? NO. The next day he calls AGAIN, and they say, "The car's ready for pickup, you can get it tomorrow." NO apology or explanation. So they go to pick it up and the mechanic has an EXTREMELY hard time getting it to start, it's again covered in debris, and my daughter asks what happened, because THEY'RE not offering anything. "Oh, I'm not the one who worked on it (says the one that i BELIEVE is the OWNER), "another mechanic worked on it and THEN HE WENT ON VACATION AND DIDN'T MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT IT TO ME." WHAT?????? So it's been sitting there for WEEKS, so long that the brand-new battery wouldn't start up without help!! AND AGAIN, NO APOLOGIES, NO EMBARRASSMENT, NO ACCOUNTABILITY. NOT ONCE WAS THERE *ANY* INITIATIVE ON THEIR PART TO CONTACT OUR DAUGHTER OR SON-IN-LAW TO KEEP THEM UPDATED. MAYBE THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, AND IT'S JUST THEIR MODUS OPERANDI? 42 DAYS!!!! Our daughter is still borrowing our car as a replacement for a couple of weeks while she drives hers, because she STILL doesn't trust it to not have the engine light come on again. STAY AWAY FROM GALLO'S UNLESS YOU DON'T WANT YOUR CAR BACK IN LESS THAN 6+ WEEKS!

The reason I recommend them I had gone to them before thinking I needed a transmission. We went for a test drive and the mechanic ask if I recently bought a new battery for my car. I said YES...... I was told the reason my transmission was acting up is the " The Model of Car I had the transmission had to reset itself which it DID" . Gallo's Could of Sold me a new transmission but they were Honest!!!!! I had found me a local honest mechanic.
