First off let me say that I initially met with Lisa who was very friendly and seemed trustworthy…read more I explained to her that after a check engine light showed up I had Auto-zone run their scanner on my vehicle. They did so free of charge and returned error code P1757 recommending to replace the governor and possibly the transducer in the transmission. I further explained to Lisa that after the governor and the transducer were replaced, the check engine light returned with the error code P0868. She said they could do a full diagnostics for $150 made be a transmission specialist. She made a note of the recent history on my ticket. I told her I would leave the scanner reports and changed parts in my truck cab in case their technician needed to refer to them. A few hours later, a gentleman who I believe to be the owner called me, saying that they would need me to approve an expense of $600 to $900 for them to finish the diagnostic, because they would need to drop the pan to go further into figuring out what is wrong. I declined and asked when I could pick up my truck. He said he would have to see because they would first have to put my truck back together if I was declining to go any further. I confirmed I wanted my truck back and he said he could have it ready later in the day. When I got there i asked what they had done. it turns out they had only plugged in their scanner and printed out the report. The same type of report I had told them Autozone had done for free and that I had left for their convenience in my truck. I paid my $156 and asked to see the report. obviously it returned the exact same two error codes P0868 and P1757. Nothing more. It took them all but 3mn to start the engine, plug in the scanner, turn off the engine then plug the scanner into their computer and print out the report. So when I remembered that over the phone, the owner had claimed that if I wanted my truck back he would have to see to "put it back together" this was a huge red flag as to their honesty and straight forwardness. When I asked him in person why they did not do more diagnostics then simply running a scanner, when they knew I had already done so, he responded that he was not going to have his guys drop the transmission pan for $150. I would not have had a problem if he had been upfront and had explained that his diagnostics would be nothing more than plugging a scanner. i would have likely skipped that step and asked how much it would cost me to get an actual professional transmission diagnostic. When I got home from their shop, I was surprised to realize that my box with the parts and diagnostics report made by Autozone were no longer in my truck. Needless to say I will find someone else to work on my vehicle.

After a few attempts I started looking elsewhere and found an awesome repair facility in Spring Hill called Bills European Autoworks. They work on all European models including Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar, Porsche etc. Let me tell you I am so glad the this car clinic advertises the wrong number or maybe they went out of business but the place I took my Jaguar to was amazing! The people there are incredibly honest and trust-worthy and treat you and your vehicle with the utmost respect! Not a spot of grease or oil got on anywhere on the car much less my interior! Their prices are VERY reasonable. The work was done properly and actually EARLIER than the time it was promised! They did all the paperwork, emailing and phone calls to my extended warranty company as well as sent pics and videos of the repairs needed as required. There was NO back and forth as they completed all the paperwork with required video and pic verification of the scope of work that it needed, parts list and labor charges. A day and a half later they received the authorization from the warranty company to proceed with the repairs. They dotted every "i" and crossed every "t" so the warranty company could make a rapid decision! The work was not only completed ahead of schedule but it was completed excellently! I am going to return to Bill's European Autoworks in Springhillfor even the smallest of service. It's too bad Ocala doesn't have a reputable place like this. I hope this review helps you.

I just took my Mercedes in to check on a small unusual noise it was making randomly. The owner…read morereally listened to me describe everything as best I could, even listening to my suggestions as to where to maybe check. They spent plenty of time checking the car over, taking it for a good road test to try to replicate the noise, which they could not, as I actually expected. After a bit more discussion, I suggested that I continue to drive it to see if whatever they did do maybe fixed the issue or otherwise to let the issue become more pronounced and I'd bring it back in. We agreed that was a good approach and I suggested we just "settle up", but the owner would not take anything from me, claiming they could not find anything wrong with the car so there's no charge. I insisted that at least PLEASE post some sort of "shop charge" for the time and effort spent, but he would not hear of it! I left kind of bewildered, like "what just happened here...?" I would say with business ethics like that, you can be GUARANTEED of not getting ripped off if you take your vehicle here!! It's a good-sized garage, v. comfortable and quiet if you have to wait, but by no means "fancy". But do make an appointment. My wife and I just moved here from W. Palm Bch and let me say this guy reflects very well on Ocala: BRAVO European Car Clinic!!
