I drove down on Wednesday and found street parking in front and just walked in with my shorts. The inside is small but clean and new. It looks like a husband a wife operation that reminds me of the old-time neighborhood tailor. I dropped off my shorts and he wrote up the receipt. They only take cash or checks and ask for payment up front. Fortunately, I had cash on me but, was short by about a dollar. He said it was okay and stamped my receipt as paid, and said I could pick it up in 2 days. I went back on Friday morning and my shorts were ready as promised. I tried to pay the rest, but he waived me off and gave me my shorts. They are prompt, do great work and are friendly and have reasonable rates. Conveniently located and will be my go-to place for any tailoring needs.

I am always greeted with care and warmth whenever I am dropping off my business attire and have never been disappointed. The only downside to this location is that it's always congested. I'm not a fan of visiting Ala Moana mall so if you come to this location , I'd make a trip out of it. Get a bite to eat, do some shopping and maybe run around Ala Moana park.

I was quite lucky to have someone in my family who was very good at working the sewing machine. I…read morewish I had more interest in truly learning it when I was younger because it's a very useful skill! Especially since overall craftsmanship isn't the same as before. Linh's Alterations was highly recommended, so let's give it a try! I knew where this place was as it has been at the same location along Ke'eaumoku St, between Kinau and Beretania and next to Mai Lan Vietnamese restaurant for decades! There's dedicated parking stalls on the side of the building, in the same lot as the Texaco gas station. Look for the Keeaumoku Pawn / Linh's Alteration sign. It's the same place! But it's definitely more so an alteration place than pawn shop. My wife has been here several times for repairs and alterations. This time I needed repairs! One of my newer Aloha Shirts had a seam splitting after just two washes, and it was all sold out at stores and online, so I wasn't able to exchange! The inside was clean and spacious. Linh was very friendly, nice, and an excellent listener. She definitely has very sharp eyes. Also, she is quite efficient! My shirt was finished in just a couple of days. Shirt was clean, neatly folded, and stitched very nicely. It was $15 plus tax, which was definitely reasonable. It wasn't a big area and it might've been a "simple" fix. Overall, I was happy with my shirt and the whole process, and will definitely bring any clothes that need repairs or alterations to Linh's! It's not a surprise she is contracted and trusted by several high to mid luxury brands. Location is convenient and parking is free and available.

Parking can be tricky, but I've been lucky so far, knock on wood. Will definitely keep coming back.

To clarify, I brought them in unwrinkled and on hangers which were not returned to me. I actually had to take one of the dresses to the dry cleaners after picking it up because it was so wrinkled. On the other dress, they didn't even bother to cut off the extra thread so there were strings hanging everywhere. I am giving this two stars only because they did complete the alterations but their service and presentation is extremely sloppy.
