Had a linen mens jacket w severe stains from a wedding and they tried multiple times to remove stains. Not quite successful but wonderful people and very reasonable! read more

I dropped off a red silk blouse at Abe Cleaners with a young woman working up front. It had 2 small water spots, which I pointed out. At pick-up, the water spots were gone. In their place were 10 black stains, blots and smudges; hard to tell if it's grease, ink or something else. When I confronted the owner, he claimed the stains were there "when he got it." If the stains were there when I dropped off the blouse, wouldn't the employee have noted that on the ticket? Someone may have dropped the blouse or handled it carelessly before it got to him, in which case he wasn't lying. Either way, the blouse is ruined, and Abe Cleaners has lost a customer. read more

Abe Cleaners - Stains on silk blouse - Laundry Services Near Me - Kailua, Hawaii

Great service! So happy that we have a reliable cleaner that does quality work. Friendly and very helpful, even when I have last minute cleaning requirements, the young lady really tries to meet my needs. Well worth the expense! read more

Had my 3 piece suit dry cleaned here. Dropped my suit off with minor makeup stains from hugging people, small grass stain and dirt/sweat stains. Picked the suit up 3 days later all plastic wrapped up and when I got home to look at it, every piece of my suit still had stains on it. Went back and they said they couldn't help. Wouldn't recommend if you need your suit cleaned. read more

The guy guided me into the parking lot and waited for me a few minutes before closing. Competitive prices and excellent dry cleaning.

Nice people, ridiculously quick and well-done alterations. Dropped off two pairs of pants for a simple hem and returned to pick them up the following day. They were done well and for a great price. Parking is easy at the coin meters on the side streets. I don't work OR live in Kailua but will not hesitate to come back again! read more

Great! Courteous, friendly, small, family-owned business. We have been going to them for years. This guy

The only place I'll take my dry cleaning. My husband and I got married in a tiny backyard ceremony during the pandemic and my dress arrived in the mail stained from the packaging. I took it to Abe and received it a couple days later looking good as new. About a year later, I accidentally stained my husband's custom barong tagalog with makeup and Abe cleaned it so well. I was worried because the barong is made with very fine pineapple silk but they did a wonderful job. read more

If I can give zero stars I would. The absolute worst experience. I brought in a brand new dress that was shipped to me but it was very wrinkled. I asked only for it to be pressed. I go pick it up and there was a stain on it. I told the owner and he kept insisting that i brought it in that way. He wouldve seen it and marked it as they inspect it before accepting it. . Like why would i bring a stained dress to be pressed and not cleaned? If he would just apologize and tried to clean it i wouldnt mind but he was so rude and dismissive. All these great reviews and i trusted it. The absolute worst place. No accountability and very overpriced. If only the quality matched the price. read more

Fast and reliable service. Base dry cleaners were over whelmed due to the ball season, gave me a 3 week turnaround for dry cleaning. Abe was able to have my Blues coat dry cleaned in 4 days. Dropped off Monday afternoon picked up Saturday. Will be giving my business more often. read more

Great service, friendly, and very quick turn around time. I thought it was a little pricey, but worth it for the turnaround time and great customer service. This is my go to store for dry cleaning. read more

My search for a great dry cleaner continues. Abe Cleaners is okay--not particularly good but not bad either. So far I've given them simple no-muss, no-fuss orders that they really couldn't screw up. The counter help has not been particularly friendly and the prices are pretty expensive like many other dry cleaners. They are located in downtown Kailua across from Kailua Elementary School (next to Champa Thai). Only metered street parking is available nearby. Yelp 365 Challenge #025/365 read more

Don't let the outside of the building keep you away from supporting this small business because although the building looks old, Abe Cleaners does quality work. I loved that my items didn't have a lingering chemical odor. When you walk in say hi because the owners are usually in the back working. Finally, the cost for cleaning my white blouse was $2 cheaper here than the place I was going to in Kakaako! read more

Fast, easy and friendly. Love that they have a small little parking lot in back for quick drop offs and pick ups. I once got an evening gown hemmed with a 1.5 day turnaround here too! When they have trouble with a stain, they let me know. read more

They were able to sew my chevrons on and do a one day turn around with dry cleaning....I was satisfied

Abe Cleaners has been my go to dry-cleaners in Kailua. The service is excellent. I had my trepidations about taking my cleaning to them recently, because the long-time owners had sold to a new owner in the past year. But rest assured that the new owner is knowledgeable and service is great there. They go above and beyond. There is metered parking in front and in back of the store, and they also have a few free stalls in the back that belong to them. Yes, you can enter from the back or the front. This isn't a fancy place, but the rates are reasonable and you get great service. Support small business! read more

A mom and pops establishment run by a couple of hardworking small business owners who are great at what they do. What more could you want? Fast service and reasonable prices? Yes they do. Turn around time for typical dry cleaning is about 3-4 days at about $4 a shirt. I love the fact that my shirts don't come back to me with bobby-pins stuck in them with a garment number. My previous dry cleaners would do that and after a while the holes became noticeable. This hard working couple are always so polite and always have a smile on their face, it really makes me happy to bring my business to them. read more

Abe Cleaners is a small little hole-in-the-wall gem. Friendly and prompt service at reasonable prices. They did a fine job cleaning my fine clothing. I am very happy with Abe Cleaners. read more

Honestly, the outside does not do the Abe dry cleaner justice. The outside is a little dirty, but that is overshadowed by the great customer service that they have. I came to Abe Cleaners on a Tuesday morning and when the owner told me they could have my order done by Saturday, I actually needed it done by Thursday. The owner was very nice and accommodating to my request. When I came to pick up my order on Thursday afternoon, everything was nicely cleaned and orderly. I offered a tip for finishing my order earlier than expected but he declined it and kindly asked for my business again, which I gladly do in the future. Great quality work and great customer service. read more

I've never written a review but this place came in clutch so I had to, they were able to do my dress blues same day and it looks great

What an awesome place! Really easy to find and this is the second time I've gone for something I needed ASAP. Always professional and soooo nice. I woke up this morning and needed a tux pressed within 6 hours. I took it in and it was done within 5!! I really appreciate the flexibility and well done job they do! Keep up the good work! read more

After many 1 Star experiences at Al Phillips decided I had to part company. How refreshing at Abe Cleaners. They wear masks (multiple visits at Al Phillips in a row no mask). They are friendly. Want your business. Reasonably priced. A true local small business. Only small negative is the parking. Recommend you try them. read more

I'm in town for my wedding and needed to get my wedding dress pressed with only a day to spare. They happily took my dress and did a great job getting it back to me within 24 hours at a reasonable price. Very cute little mom and pop place with excellent customer service! read more

Always friendly, always fast, always accurate. From cleaning to simple tailoring - I always only give Abe my business.

Extremely pleased! Abe did an excellent job cleaning a well-loved (24+ years) comforter. It came out looking very clean indeed and was clearly taken care of during the process. Professional and exceedingly polite/courteous as well. It was a very satisfactory experience and I will be taking him my suits and wool items as well. read more

Been going here for years. Prices are good, service is great. Don't know if they do overnight cleaning. Clothes come back immaculate.

Mom and Pop dry cleaners located in Kailua. Two entrances available on either Kuulei rd or Uluniu St. Kuulei Rd has easy street parking in front of the shop or free parking in front of second entrance on Uluniu. Not your fancy dry cleaners but they are quick and get the job done. I needed to get my new suit pants hemmed and they did a great job. Only $12.50 per pant. They had me try it on and marked where they thought should be hemmed. They have a little area to change, although I would encourage if they added carpet since the floor was on concrete and dusty. I dropped the pants off on Monday, I told them I needed it by Thursday. Picked it up Thursday morning and it was ready no issues. I don't believe they take credit card, only cash. I would recommend this place to anyone, like I said nothing fancy but they get the job done. read more

This place is awesome, efficient and the family is so courteous. Rates are like the old neighborhood...for alterations too. Highly recommend. read more

After a coffee explosion on a ball gown (I know, pretty ridiculous) I took my gown to Abe Cleaners. After the first cleaning solution didn't work, he ordered another one that did the trick! They were super nice, quick, and inexpensive. I would absolutely recommend them to a friend. read more

This place values their customers. They do a super job and parking is very convenient. Glad to give my business to them.

I dropped off some items for dry cleaning and alterations (they took credit card). Abe Cleaners saved my favorite pair of pants by fixing a stitch I thought was beyond repair. My other clothes were dry cleaned well. I like the proprietor. He is polite and straight-forward. The prices are reasonable. I will only go to Abe from now on! read more

Avoid this place if you want trustworthy people who operate professionally to clean your clothes. I had this guy dry clean some new Aloha shirts for me, but when I got home found that some of them were stained with cleaning agents. Having spent a couple of decades dry cleaning my clothes, this was not totally unexpected. Every other dry cleaner I've ever gone to has immediately admitted that occasionally the machines don't remove all the chemicals, but that it is easily remedied with another cleaning. In this case however, the owner guy adamantly refused to admit he could in anyway have been responsible. I wasn't even asking him to fix it, just to please make sure it didn't happen again... and he refused! Truly crazy stuff. I even had four shirts with me that I was still considering letting him clean, but he then refused to look at them to verify that there were no stains on them, so we could verify they were cleaned properly this time. So, save yourself some time and headaches and just go with one of the local chains. This guy is ridiculous. read more
