When I asked why, the answer was that she didn't like my "energy" and "vibe" -- nothing concrete, nothing that happened that day. If that was a real concern, it should have surfaced before confirming my booking, not sixty minutes before I was due to arrive. The owner offered zero accountability when I raised this directly. This isn't a policy dispute. It's a pattern of treating paying clients as disposable. Skip this shop, and skip Jill Martin specifically.

It was time to just go try out a new barbershop and get my hair trimmed. Using our handy dandy Yelp App, I looked up the nearest barbershop in the Seaport area without having to use public transportation or ride share services. Seaport Barbers was the nearest one with great reviews. I also did some research on their website for online booking. Made an appointment at 1pm with any barber who was available. Went in a little bit early just in case I got lost with Google Maps directions. Walked in and met Kevin, we quickly introduced ourselves and did a fast consultation and proceeded with my haircut. It took less than 20 minutes, got exactly what I needed with not a too high of a side fade, with good conversation at the same time.
