Super inclusive environment for women to get a masculine cut. I've heard of barber shops turning away women even when they want a "men's" cut so it was nice to call and make an appointment without any pushback or questioning. Ended up that the cut was a little shorter on top than I expected likely as a result of the poor quality of my reference photo but I can tell it's going to grow nicely into what I was thinking of. I just walked in and got my hair cut by Shenouda. I have never been this happy with a haircut. Even with limited English, he knew exactly what I wanted and executed perfectly. I have been asking for a "Men's Regular" for years around Boston, and for some reason everyone makes me explain what I mean. Part on the side, longer on top than the sides. It should be a pretty universal naming convention. No other cities seem to have a problem with it. Shenouda knew exactly what I meant and cut it quickly, with a friendly Italian disposition, and accurately without using any greasy hair product. I will be back monthly. In town for a work function and thought I would find a place in Boston to get a cut. Searched through multiple places on yelp and landed on Belsito. Called in and easily set up an appointment (although i read afterwards that walk ins were welcome). Was given options of times to come in and I landed an appointment with Tony. Belsito, as it feels everything in Boston is, was just a nice walk away so I took advantage of the nice weather and got to enjoy some of the "old town" on the way. Walking into the barbershop is like a healthy flashback to simpler days, from the decor to the music playing. Tony and the gang were very welcoming and was great conversation as well. Tony nailed the cut I was going for and had helpful tips on styling my hair with the cut and type of hair I have. Ill definitely make this a stopping point on my future trips to Boston, if you're in town looking for a good cut I suggest you do too, you wont regret it! read more

Just moved into Boston proper and I've been looking around for a reasonably-priced barbershop without too heavy of a boy's club feel for a while. I called the day before and was able to make an appointment. I ended up with Stephen who had an open slot when I was available and he was amazing. Super nice, friendly, and talkative (but won't force a conversation). He gave me a great cut for a reasonable price. I had no wait -- and was actually sitting in the chair before my appointment slot even began -- and paying was easy because they take card and cash. Definitely headed back here for my next haircut. Nick is the guy you want cutting your hair for the rest of FOREVER. Especially if you want a nice fade and some solid scissor work done. If he doesn't have an appointment slot open, wait for the next day -- I'm telling you it's worth it. I moved to Boston 3 years ago and tried a few different places, as one does. Until I tried a barber downtown that absolutely wrecked my hair. Like he had a centuries old, ongoing feud with a troll doll and decided to take it out on me. just. lovely. Dispirited, I came to Nick when he was at Blade and *over three months* he coaxed my hair back to life like he was mother earth and I, a torched, ravaged sapling. Working patiently with me he grew out the parts that needed growing while cutting around those areas to keep me looking marginally slick. But sometimes you don't learn your lesson. On vacation a few months later I wanted to get my haircut and again, the spirit of the first hair butcher overcame my stylist and my hair was destroyed (yes. destroyed.) Nick, once again, revived my hair and it thrived. Thrived so much that Nick's haircut was featured at my wedding and it made everyone's day. Fast forward to now, I decided to cut my hair *very* short and Nick took his time. I've never had hair this short but, I'll say, it looks pretty darn good. No thanks to me, all thanks to Nick. Never had a beard. Amazingly, grew a big hairy bush on my chin over the last 12 months. Very proud of my manly chin-scarf, but spouse wanted it trimmed. (She is always right.) Happily, found a wonderful beard barber in Bridaa. He's a pro, gave me great confidence, and trimmed both beard and head, with scissors, in masterful fashion. I have to tell you he's a very nice guy, an amazing family man, and can keep a light conversation lively. Great atmosphere, solid haircuts, and reasonably priced. I usually go to Bridaa but have gone to Stephen and Nick as well. All great guys and professionals who know how to treat a customer. They can talk about anything with you, thehave good banter with each other, and they also know when to leave you be if you're in a quiet mood. Belsito takes 20min appointments, and they almost always start on time +\- a few minutes, which I appreciate as someone who is usually on a schedule. I have been getting my haircut by Stephen for awhile ,the last 2 haircuts were very bad the sides were different lengths , the back wasn't even, he stopped during the haircut to talk on the phone , then our conversation was all about him & his new shop at the end of the haircut which was rushed he said to go on yelp and leave a review ,then the receptionist told me to give 5 stars & what to say in the review after I have been a loyal client & followed him to his new business I found out that all along I was lied to by him ,he told me he was opening his own shop because Blade Barbershop s lease was up & they were closing which I found out was not true & also that Stephen ,Nick ,Bridaa were fired from blade a good place that they worked at for many years very unethical & very bad business practice. read more

Absolutely Terrific. Beautiful, new space! Great location. Experienced and friendly barbers, Bridaa, Stephen and Nick and the wonderful receptionist, Erica. My partner and I had gone to Blade when they were cutting hair there. However, we made the right decision to follow them, afterall it is about the people as much as the location. Loving this new space and the atmosphere so much better. I just left for my first cut there with Bridaa and everyone was smiling and greeted me with superior hospitality. As they did when I left as well. Sounds like I am going over the top, but I am not. It is really this good. Plus I love my fresh haircut before my vacation to Puerto Rico tomorrow.
