Jaber is probably the 20th or so Barber but I've taken my husband too and he is the last. This place is like a spa for men, the decor is amazing Ambiance is definitely set to be relaxing. It's easy to get appointments, I don't know how much a regular haircut and lineup is but my husband gets his haircut and his beard and it comes up to about 50 bucks. 10 out of 10 recommend read more

Just friendly suggestion . For the price of service , I maybe suggest a little interaction with your customers . There was minimal communication with barber. Vibe with your clients . I believe connecting with your customers is key, builds a relationship & you will want to return possibly as a regular . Usually at end of a hair cut , barber will hold mirror , spin you around , show you the back of hair cut . Nothing .. I had to request him to show me what back looked like . Not even a bit of hair product to show final look. I believe I paid for a beard cut . Not sure what I received . Again not the best communication. Way , way too over priced for the service received today. read more

I had been here a few times before and had decent experiences. However, I just had an awful experience and will not be coming back. I booked a scissor cut, which is $65 before tip. The barber got through my cut in about 20 minutes, which I thought was odd, as it usually takes twice as long (and the website says as much). I get home and realize he barely did anything to the back, and my neck was untouched. My girlfriend fixed it with our own grooming tools. I understand that everyone has bad days, but when customers are paying such a high price, I think the barbers should be able to put forth a basic effort. Will not be coming back. read more

Andy is not only one of the best barbers I've had in a long time -- he's a kind and genuine person. His cuts and conversation helped give me a boost during a tough time. Plus, this shop plays the best music and there's convenient parking nearby. Go to this shop. read more

I don't think I've been to a nicer looking barbershop in my life. MBL exudes class - the aesthetics are truly a sight to behold. I've visited two of the three locations, the Financial District and Arsenal Yards. AY is my preference due to free parking. Lex (owner) earned my trust on the first visit, the rest is pretty much history; I've been going to Lex for a couple of months now and what I can say without a doubt is that he's a master at his craft. I usually get a taper fade with a beard trim and Lex executes it to perfection. I've only had positive experiences in my visits. Highly recommend! read more

Marvelous Barber Lounge truly lives up to its name! From the warm welcome to the modern, clean space, every detail was perfect. Lex and the team are attentive, skilled, and delivered a flawless haircut that always exceeds my expectations. The atmosphere was both relaxing, friendly and efficient, making it a standout and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking top-notch grooming! When in Boston in the financial district check it out. I am sure the other locations are great as well, read more

Marvelous Barber Lounge - Very nice place. - Barbers Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Thought I'd give them a try even though the prices are high given that the service looks better than most shops. The service was better at first, check in was easy and the barber was ready when I got there. But the haircut was one of the worst I ever had. His hand slipped and took off a chunk of my mustache. He tried to cover it with touch up spray. When I asked how long that would last, he said about five days if I don't wash or touch it. A small spot on the top of my head is one thing but how am I not gonna touch or wash my mouth for five days. He didn't offer a discount or anything. Even before that he was giving me a haircut I didn't ask for. You have to pre pay and I paid for a fade and shave. He was leaving my beard even though we also spoke about it. Maybe he's still learning or maybe it was a bad day. Either way, this place is too expensive for that kind of service. Skip this place but if you give them a try, stay away from Frankie. read more

Paulo the best. Perfect haircut honestly. Very professional. On time. 10/10 perfection. They offer water coffee, easy to park every time. Best barber I've been to in years. read more

Been going here for the past two years. Started going here because I've been getting my haircut by Andy for over 5 years now. Even after 5 years, each time I go, I feel like Andy's cuts get better and better. If you want a cool relaxing shop, definitely check this place out. They offer you a drink while you wait. And as mentioned above, I can't recommend Andy enough. Dude does the best most detailed fade. Unsure of a look? He'll work with you to find the best option for you. read more

Flew into Boston and came out at south station needing a cut for a family event. After searching around, and not loving any of the barber shops downtown, I happened to find these guys. 100% recommend going here. It's a new shop that opened mid Covid (hence the 6 reviews). Was really clean and had cool vintage decor. The barber I had, Lex, was a super nice guy, absolute pro at cutting hair, and knew exactly what I wanted. Reasonably priced for a gentleman's barber shop. If you're downtown and need a cut, don't fuck with great clips, call these guys. read more

I got my hair cut by Joel. Nice guy, but wasn't listening at all when I was describing what I wanted, bro was looking at his phone. Didn't ask any clarifying questions then I interrupted him while he was cutting my hair because I could tell he wasn't doing what I asked for and he said he'll fix it. I paid $70 for the whackiest haircut of my life, had me in almost tears walking back home. It's literally uneven in the back read more

Let me start off by stating the fact I don't leave reviews good or bad. With that being said I felt compelled to leave a review for Lex the barber. I walked in with my son last Wednesday needing a haircut for an event the next day. Lex took care of me with no hesitation. The cut was flawless and gave some great suggestions along with tips to address my bald spots. Like anything in life you get what you pay for. Nothing but high grade A plus cuts around this joint. I would suggest making appointment's when attending. My 4 year old was content sipping his beverage and lounging on the couch while daddy got a cut. Great warm and professional atmosphere. See you next Friday Lex read more

Absolutely A+ experience here at MBL. I was in town with my wife for our anniversary and stayed across the street. Needed a shave and haircut before going out on Sat night and wow did this place deliver. Joel was my barber and he was amazing. Master barber from Dominican Republic and super handy with the scissor and razor. Wish we had him here in Austin! Thanks to MBL and Joel and I will be back when I'm In town! Y'all give this place a try if you're in the great city of Boston. read more

I walked in. A nice lady at the front informed me that they do take walk in's but they are busy, and can wait if I would like. I take a seat and in about 3 mins I get seated. I explain I just want a beard trim and to edge up sides and back of a fade. Upon finishing they attempted to charge me $120. I refused. They said I would have to speak to the owner. The owner mentioned something about the faux hawk hairstyle I have not being standard so it's $120. They eventually dropped it down to $80. Still overpriced for a edge up. This place definitely tried to scam me. I spent time telling the barber that I want just a edge and trim. They don't have pricing posted anywhere. And the website is down so I couldn't even reference pricing. Insane walk down the street and go somewhere else. The barber did a decent job tho, and the place is clean so they at least have that going for them. read more

What an awesome place, if you want top quality service head to Marvelous Lounge. For a while I was looking for a good Barbershop for my son and I and I came across a post from Marvelous Lounge on Instagram, I decided to try it because all the other Barbershops I've been to have been messing up my beard and my hairline and also my son's hairline so I figured why not. It was definitely a good decision, top notch service from beginning to end. I was able to book my appointment online, was able to find somewhere to park with a breeze and when I arrived with my son we were greeted like we've been going there for a long time (we've been going to for a little over 3 months now). Lex has an awesome team that will definitely make you feel like a million bucks. I will continue going there for a very long time read more

I had another ultimate grooming experience at Marvelous Cuts. I was out of town for a few months. I went to a reputable Barbershoppe for a cut. It was fine. When I got home I booked my appointment for the Hot Towel Shave. The experience was amazing. The cut completely transformed my beard back to perfection. Thank you. I love this place. read more

The best barbershop in Boston, great atmosphere , nice design, awesome details, the place is cut off for success. I would not mind paying so much money for a haircut if it was a complete haircut and exceeded the skill of an average barber. Apparently you pay for each section of a haircut here, so you are charged separately for the top and the sides. A regular mediocre haircut that you could get anywhere else for less than $40 max is $120+ here. The staff are friendly but when it comes to the hair they are greedy or lazy, dont care, or just dont have the skill for this price range. It was really disappointing. For this price you could go to a hair salon instead of a barber and they will wash, cut, and dye your hair and it will look fantastic. Its just unreasonable to say the least. read more

Lex and his team have raised the bar, and every barber in New England needs to take note. You can expect more than a cut. Had to pay the entire service fee plus tips in order to make an appointment. It was already a red flag. The barber was polite, however, the actual haircut was very basic and it was not nearly as advertised. It was way overcharged for simple clipper work. The barber said that he could do what I needed and it turned out just some Supercuts stuff and he actually doesn't know how to do some scissor work. Strongly recommend avoiding this place if you want something more than a Supercuts quality and if you want some actual skills. read more

Amazing atmosphere, great owner and one of the best barbers Andy who I got to everytime im in town. Andy caters to any cut you need and takes care of you. I've had a barber for 20 years and Andy is the only base bet I trust when I come to Boston. You won't regret it. read more

Great atmosphere, and super Adriana really understood my look and hit it out of the park!!

If I could leave this gem of a barber lounge a 10-star rating, I would! My son and I were visiting Boston and happened to see the MBL from across the way. We loved the name, and my son needed a trim, so we thought that we'd swing by to see if they had an opening for a walk-in. As soon as we came through the door, we loved this spot. Immediate awesome vibe. The woman who greeted us could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Surprisingly, they had an immediate opening! I sat down on a wonderful leather couch and was offered water and/or juice (so nice!) and my son was greeted by Adriana, who listened very carefully to all of the specs that my son had for his cut. Adriana was first class all the way - meticulous, professional and skillful. I only wish that we lived closer, so that we could become regulars here. The experience and the results are well worth the $. Highly recommend! read more

I came to Marvelous a few days ago still searching for a relatable barber who could cut my hair the way I like it. Ive probably been to 5 or 6 different places and never got the quality cut that I hoped for. I can finally say I've found the place for me. Lex gave me the best cut I've ever had, and it was a super fun experience. You walk on the lounge is incredibly classy. I felt like a high roller coming in and sitting in the chair. Lex and Hector were working, and they were awesome to talk to and had a lot of laughs. The cut itself was great. I like a mid/high fade pompadour and nobody in Boston could really do a good job with it. Plus, I have a beard and never found a place that could trim and line it up professionally. I got the hair and beard cut with Lex, and he absolutely nailed it. The tapered look and fresh lines, I walked out feeling like a boss! Watching Lex work really showed me that he takes pride in the job he does, and he has earned my business long term. Next time, I'm getting the top option. This place is only going to get better with the direction that Lex sees it going. I couldn't recommend this barber lounge more! You won't regret it. Thank you Lex! read more
