Unfortunately, my experience with District Barbers Boston did not live up to the reputation or reviews. The customer service could be significantly improved, and simply finding the shop was frustrating--the location is in the basement and was very difficult to locate without clear signage or directions. For a barbershop positioned as one of Boston's better options, I expected a much smoother and more welcoming experience. Based on my experience, I would not consider it among the top barbershops in Boston. read more

Javier is an absolute wizard with the clippers and scissors. He truly takes his time and is worth every penny! Such a clean fade and great service. Love the vibes of the shop as well. Would 100% recommend because they're the best barber shop in Boston, if not New England. read more

In town for a last minute meeting. Needed a quick cleanup beforehand. Great service in a very cool space. Sadiq does a very nice job.

There was no communication during the haircut meaning he didn't ever double check that I liked what he was doing, nor did the barber at any point during the haircut have me face the mirror so I could see what was going on. I just had to trust him. Luckily I ended up with a decent haircut, and it was what I asked for, and the particular barber was very talented. So if you're very picky about your hair I would avoid. The price is also reasonable for the area. read more

I had a bit of a hair emergency and booked Jared for a last minute haircut. I wasn't sure what to expect as most barbers who aren't Asian don't know how to handle Asian hair. Jared made sure to find out how I do my hair, what I was looking for, and clarified what the occasion was, and the proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts I've gotten in the past 10-15 years. Jared, awesome work. Thank you so much! I hope work brings me back to Boston again soon. read more

Been going there for approximately 2 years and having my haircut by Jared most other the time. Fantastic experience (the guy vibe in the place is a welcome change from going to my wife's place. The first time there two of the barbers were arguing over who would win in a fight - Godzilla or King Kong - mindless fun - I cracked up.). If you want to update your hairstyle this place is the place to go. They made a 65+ YO guy feel up to date. Will miss this place but you should give it a try! read more

Cam is the worst barber I have ever sat with. The quality was extremely bad, and the service even worse. They also HARDLY show you what you look like in the mirror as they are working. Be careful here. read more

The barber I had was skilled and dedicated. He did not speak english very well but was able to communicate with the help of another barber and he did an excellent job of cutting. I was caught off guard by the price--$55 for a cut. I will not be returning. read more

I felt very rushed , no attention to detail , eyebrows, sideburns, no hot towels, For $50.00 I expected more care. Go to Mitchell John on broad street and experience exemplary service read more

Jarod and team are the best around. Location? Right in FiDi. Vibe? Perfect blend of chill and cool.

Amazing service and amazing owner! Haircut and shave were great, and reasonably priced. Will Come back to again the next time I am in Boston. read more

Always a great cut from Jared P. Great spot. Been going here for at least 2 years now.

I have been to many barber shops in the past 75 years and District Barbers Boston is by far the cleanest and lots of big smiles here. The owner Jared Petruzzella made my appointment and greeted me to his Shop. My barber Cam Jones wearing a clean uniform, cut my hair as I directed. New to Boston, but I just found my hometown Barbershop. Wahoooooo District barbers Boston ! read more

Top-notch cut--efficient and expert. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere.

Cam consistently delivers high quality. Always appreciate the haircut. Place is convenient, clean and runs efficiently.

Very professional establishment, with professional staff I'd recommend this barber shop for anyone looking for a haircut!

I need to show these guys some love because I'm surprised nobody's dropped a positive review for them yet. I came across District Barbers when googling barbershops in my area that provide haircuts by appointment (because my regular shop didn't provide a way to book an appointment during these times for whatever reason) and I'm so glad I found them. Usually I go to Yelp to see the reviews of the place but I didn't find any, but I did see pictures of the work they did and I thought they were pretty good so I took a chance and booked a cut with Jared. When I came in, the shop was clean, Jared and Chris warmly greeted me, and you could tell they took the necessary precautions for the re-opening. Jared took the time to ask me how I wanted my hair and gave suggestions/explanations on different styles and look that would fit me (I welcomed it because he obviously knows more than I do it about hair). It could be because I was loooong overdue for a haircut but I got off the chair very happy with how it turned out. I usually have a "good enough" approach to haircuts but I can tell when something exceeds my expectations - the result was also validated when I got home and got the (rare) approval from my girlfriend. At the end of it all, Jared even gave me his card so I could tell him if at any point I was unhappy with the result. He mentioned during the cut that they had only been open for 8 weeks before they were forced to shutdown becuase of the lockdown - so if you guys want to get great haircut, go out and support these guys! read more

Jared runs a great barber shop. He is a master barber - that makes a difference. The shop has a great vibe, the team is solid. This is a go-to place. read more

Jared is the boy and gives a great haircut. Barbershop is also super clean and well run. 5 stars

Have had consistent great experiences here. Have been going for a couple of months. My son and I have been going to Chris and he does a great job with great conversation. Go get a cut and a shave that will not disappoint you. read more

I normally do not leave yelp reviews, but I have been twice now and both experience have been fantastic. Booking is easy, the place is clean/cool/conveniently located and the barbers give a great haircut. I have been to two different barbers so far, neither the owner, and both gave a great haircut. Definitely worth the money. read more

Great atmosphere right when you walk in. Very clean, and Jared and Chris are both very professional and easy going. Booking couldn't have been easier. My last shop didn't take appointments so booking online was great. Also you can grab cheap street parking on Saturdays! Highly recommend read more

District Barbers Boston - Finished product. I believe this was a mid bald fade - Barbers Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Great service, have always loved their work. Very professional cuts. Cool atmosphere. I go here for all my haircuts now.

I never ever feel compelled to post reviews, but Jared did an excellent job. I move around often and have a designated barber per city. Having gone to now four several barbers in the Boston area and never being quite satisfied, I was recommended District Barbers from a friend. The haircut was clean, professional, and I left feeling more than satisfied. Thank you Jared. When I'm in Boston, I'm here. As far as COVID goes, they followed all the guidelines and take it seriously. Show these guys some love during this time. I'd go out of my to go here. read more

Overall an excellent experience. Not every barber is comfortable and competent wrangling a full beard, but he sent me home looking and feeling spiffy. read more

Lets face it, you can really get a hair cut just about anywhere nowadays, but if you want a true experience, and want to deal with true professionals, then just make Jared or Chris your guy. You can go in for a cut, and instantly book your next one 4 weeks later, their online system is too easy. Great vibes in the shop as well, good music always on, TVs going, fantastic location. I've gotten haircuts all over MA, and throughout the US, and this place is just top notch. I work in the area and figured I would give it a try and the guys did not disappoint! read more

Best haircut in Boston. Jared the owner is thoughtful in his approach and professional. He gives the utmost care and attention to detail for all his clients and is willing to go the extra mile for clients safety and well-being. Highly recommended, after you get your hair cut here you won't need another barber! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but this place 100% deserves it. This was my first time going here and I just got the best haircut of my life. Cam cut my hair today. The attention to detail was incredible and the hospitality made it feel like I've been coming here for years. These guys do amazing work and I would absolutely recommend them to any of my friends or family. I'm so happy I found this barber shop. read more

Shop was welcoming, team was super comfortable to be around, and service was the best I've ever had. Left the shop with an amazing haircut and beard! 100% recommend Cam!! I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Just got the worst buzz cut/beard trim ever, they left about an inch of my the bottom of my beard. I should have known when she never asked how it looks or if I was happy with it as I have been here several times before and had a good result. Not this time, I'll never be back which sucks because I know have to find a new barber... not to mention these guys are not cheap, $65 and I have to finish the job.. read more

Thank you Jared for such a great experience. The best service I've had in recent years and I absolutely love my haircut! It was easy to book online, which is extra score from my point of view. read more

What can I say? Jared is a master of his craft! Firstly, the shop is gorgeous and immaculate. I got the hot towel head shave and gentlemen's beard trim/shave and it was amazing! Jared is extremely meticulous and makes sure the experience is perfect in every aspect. I highly recommend! read more

I arrived in Boston for some meetings and I needed a quick clean up. I waited by their door as they opened and they graciously slipped me in first as they were just opening. I wish I had the time for a full cut and beard trim because even the quick cut I received was outstanding. Highly recommend. read more

Ideal location, genuine service, best cuts in Boston. Jared is the man and will take excellent care of you. Once you go here, you won't be able to go anywhere else. And they take appointments! read more

Very unprofessional, gave me a complimentary haircut for the scheduled haircut he deliberately missed. Messed up my hair and made fun of me the whole time. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are a bunch of barbers way more talented and more professional in the area. read more

Finally, a barber who doesn't just nod his head as you describe the look that you want. Jared, the owner, spent the first five minutes educating me on hair density and growth patterns and how the shape of my head may contribute to the look that I want. He suggested a slightly altered look to what I described based on these factors and the outcome was the best haircut I've had in years. I was extremely pleased and feeling confident as I left his barbershop. Bonus: when the wife gives the thumbs up, you know you look good. Thanks Jared! read more
