Considering the lack of help most restaurants are experiencing these days with a high volume of demand, I was absolutely happy with my experience for lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. I try to avoid chain restaurants, but the 99 is one of the good ones. I give this review 5 stars for the service over anything else. Lily, the hostess, greeted me & my fiance with a genuine smile. She seemed to be busy but stopped what she was doing the minute we walked in. She had a good sense of humor & I observed her with other customers. She was absolutely pleasant. Our waitress, Arista, was just as candid & super nice to us. Again, it seems rare to have such friendly service & I completely understand given the long hours & stress much of the restaurant industry is experiencing. She came right over to get our drink orders. She was fun & our experience was memorable because of this. We didn't feel like there was any waiting for Arista to come back to our table, as she would be back to visit at the exact times you'd expect. The food was OK, it isn't anything to write home about. Unfortunately, we aren't the type to speak up if our order is wrong. I wish we had, but we still fear the "Waiting" experience. My fiance had ordered the cheddar bacon burger & instead he received a very simple cheeseburger. The fries were on the mushy, cold side. I had the Mediterranean Shrimp Bowl. The rice was a bit cold but the other elements were hot enough that when mixed, it warmed up. I don't go to Hooksett too often, but I was impressed with this location. It was clean & orderly, including the bathrooms. I am sure we weren't there at the most busy time that they experience, but overall I was happy. We love this 99 and come often. Staff is always great. We go to Manchester and Nashua also but this staff is best. One thing, PLEASE!! Stop pre cooking the wings. Especially when it's not busy. Usually pretty solid but need to focus more on getting orders right versus out quick. best example is steak tips. when a medium well order comes out in less than 5 minutes and are literally raw-rare that is a problem. also It is easy to tell when boneless buffalo wings have been sitting and then heated up versus cooked to order. Last night 12/30/22 we ordered from their special holiday menu and ordered sirloin w lobster and shrimp and baked stuffed shrimp. It happened to be my wife's birthday. Got home and much to my dismay the lobster was missing. Called the restaurant and manager Chris quickly apologized and promised to put in another complete steak/lobster order in. He said give me 20 minutes. I arrived and he came out to the car, apologized again and handed me the free meal. That folks is customer care and he turned unfortunate oversight into a positive. We walked in to person at stand .I asked for a booth he didn't say anything then started to head north dropped ate menu onto a gross popcorn filled floor that they just tried to sweep into a dust pan while people were eating. I understand todays economy and the job situation and I do not like to give poor reviews but... went here today 3/21/22 at around 4:30. Ordered a coffee, actually two of the three of us ordered coffee. The coffee we were brought was cold. When Bea came back we asked for hot coffee, she said some is brewing and brought us hot coffee. I come in fairly regularly, and I usually get treated well. My food is almost always perfect. I ordered my food ToGo on Monday, was greeted as per usual and offered a drink while I waited for my food. I'm not sure if it was my server or if it was the cook, but when I got to my car I opened up my packaging and saw this. Unimpressed is an understatement. I decided to eat it anyways, but my fries were barely warm. My wrap obviously was falling apart and there were only 2 pieces of chicken inside. We sit at the bar, have some drinks, and some good food. There are several TVs to watch in the bar area. Free popcorn is given to munch on. We also order some cheese & crackers too! The service has been decent on each visit. My favorite lunch entrees are the Country Fried Chicken (crispy chicken breasts with lemon pepper gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce & a honey biscuit), the Baked Schrod (schrod baked with bread crumbs with potato & vegetables), and the BBQ Turkey Tips (with fries, coleslaw & a honey biscuit). I want to start by saying I was sat immediately at a clean table....and was greeted by Josh our server in seconds and had drinks and​ minute later....hands down the best server I have ever had....so personable and attentive. Overall....I'm so pleased with his service nevermind the drinks or wings. The wings were fantastic per usual...drinks were good as well. The real fruit margarita was great...tough to drink with a straw tho...due to so much pulp. The mai tia was great as well....wing flavors were honey bbq, Chipotle, buffalo and gold fever. This location is garbage. 1. The service (Alicia) was crap from the second she asked us how we were and before I could answer she said "good" have you been here before?. I didn't get a chance to say anything lol awkward. 2. I get the same order at every 99 establishment except this one apparently. I usually order the tacos w/fried shrimp instead of the fried fish. It's usually a dollar up charge. The charge is fine, we both get what we want. My money for your food & service. The waitress (Alicia), immediately challenged me on my dinner choice and said oh we don't do that. I said I swear I've gotten this every other time, it's the only thing I order. She said well we'll see, I'll ask my manager. She comes back seconds later and said sorry my manager said she can't make the substitute because were too busy.. mind you, there was no wait. I'm sitting here next to an empty booth as speak- see attached. Also, are these entrees frozen or premade that the substitution was impossible? I don't understand that. Anyway. She suggests the beef tacos. I asked if the meat was chewy, she said it's "sweet". What does the flavor have to do with the texture? She said I'll show you a picture. Shows me a picture of what looks like little pieces of steak tip. It's actually more like a cold pulled pork situation instead... then after asking if I liked her choice (lol) I said no, and she said oh are they too sweet? LOL NO. They're barely human grade meat! Hooksett location. Worst steak tips we've ever had. So so salty and over seasoned. We usually go to Nashua 99 but were in the area to get takeout to bring to mom for Mothers Day. Called management and their response was "they are pre-seasoned so there's nothing we can do about it". Basically "too bad so sad". Extremely poor customer service. I like this 99...really solid as far as a chain restaurant entry. For a local option, it provides a lot of choice for very reasonable prices, so if you're looking for a quick dinner, this is a good place to go. Anyone that frequents the Nines must know that you have to try the Gold Fever Wings -- a great, unique flavor that sets these apart from your basic chicken tenders from other restaurants. As far as my other favorites, I tend to stick to the Fish n' Chips or the All Star Steakburger, and they don't disappoint. Consistency counts, and I think that's one thing that the 99 does very well. Since this was renovated many years ago, the atmosphere is much improved. The bar area is nice and open, lots of HD TVs, and the service is generally great when you sit there. Recently they've been doing some additional things to make it worth going to...they run a trivia night on Thursdays, which if you're local, is a fun enough thing to do, and they do a nice job with it. Also, I notice that they've been experimenting a little more with keeping a local brew on tap. Last fall they were running with the Woodstock Inn's Autumn Ale...that was a great surprise. I'm not sure how popular that was with everyone except me...but I hope they continue to cycle that through...really hard to find that one on tap. Lately it's been the Long Trail IPA from Vermont. Stopped in yesterday for a quick bite to eat it was about 3:30 the place was not crowded at all I sat myself at the bar there might have been six people sitting there there was nobody behind the bar I'm not sure where the bartender was but it took quite a while for somebody to walk up to take my order by then I knew what I wanted I ordered my lunch and proceeded to watch the bartender clean things off and do whatever she was doing by the time my food was ready it sat on the counter under the lights for quite a while until another waitress walked by and noticed and brought it to me the person behind the bar never once even bothered to look out for my food it was good as always but the service not so much the person behind the bar could care less who was sitting there or what they needed at least that's the feeling I got just for that reason I'm probably not going to stop in there very often read more

We went here after a long drive from Hills borough.... showed up at 5:45 we were seated immediately. I really wished I remembered the waiter. His name it might be Matt or Mark but he was super and he made the experience a memorable one. We started out with two Crocs of french onion soup which unfortunately wasn't the best I've ever had. The seafood chowder was okay but it was super thick , like it wasn't stirred. The broccoli cheddar soup seemed to be the winner of the group! For dinner.. I think they might have changed their steak tip recipe because it sure didn't taste like it used to and it didn't melt in your mouth. My son had the haddock and he enjoyed it very much. My boyfriend had the rosemary chicken, which was good but over cooked a little bit. On a positive note.. the rice was quite tasty. My oldest son got the steak Fried Chicken and said that it was okay, just did it like the gravy but the biscuit they came with it was to die for! read more
