This place is a fun place to be especially to watch New England Patriots football. Good beer in tap and tasty munchies. Bartenders are very attentive & friendly. read more

UPDATE 8/2017: An update to my original review below. We've been back to this 99 a few times this summer (against my general, better judgment - but when the Red Sox win, kids eat free, you get sucked in!). I will say, this summer, something is better than it has ever been in the past. I upgraded my original "1 star" review to a "3 star" because the food IS better. I hope it stays this way! So... we're big fans of Pub 99. We frequent our local 99 ("regulars" there) and LOVE the food, service and atmosphere. This 99 is downright bad. We've been to this 99 several times before but haven't dined in there in quite some time. Take-out is always a disaster and the food is EXTREMELY hit or miss. But we had a very VERY rare date night out and decided to try it again. We like the bar area at pretty much every 99 and enjoy their drinks. Mistake. While our server/bartender was nice enough, she was clearly overwhelmed (despite there being 3 bartenders working - one at each end of the bar & one managing drinks for the restaurant). I won't get into all of the long details but man - it was bad. It took FOREVER to get our drinks (me = 15 min for a frozen drink and my husband = 10 min for a beer refill). It took close to 1 hour to get our meals. We were told the kitchen was slammed - and it was clear they were extremely busy. However, everyone around us that ordered when we did FINISHED their meals before we even got ours. It was insane! Both of my sides were stone cold. My husbands sides were stone cold. This was rectified but not without some hoopla/confusion. It was just a terrible dining experience. Considering it had been 4 months since we had been out together alone, this was a huge disappointment. We would had intentions of relaxing and having a couple of drinks after dinner but no way. We were out of there as fast as possible and we will NOT be back. So disappointing considering we love pretty much every 99 we go to. This one was just NOT good. If you like chains (we do, we're not chain snobs or anything), just hit up one of the others right up the street... don't waste your $ at this 99. read more

I had a good experience at this 99. We ordered a spinach queso dip that came with tortilla chips and fried pita pieces to start. For $8, I don't know if I'd get it again but it was definitely good. The Smokehouse burger was great and a good size for the price. The 'tall' (comes in a huge glass stein mug) size beer was a good pour for the price too. On the other hand, while good, the country fried chicken from the '9 real size entrees for $9.99' menu was a little skimpy. The service was excellent. In response to Don W., I agree that they could update and brighten both the exterior and interior of this place, but there certainly wasn't a lack of people here. read more

Food here is really good! I wish they had a different choice in music. But still, really good. The waiters are all real cheery,happy... etc. wasn't a big fan of this place in the past, everything was the opposite. But they have come a long way from 2010. Décor is lovely! In addition, I highly recommend this place! read more

I have visited this 99 several times. It's always busy for good reason. I would like to especially like to commend the server D Money. If 99 were a chocolate factory and, my name was Charlie, then D$ would be Willy Wonka minus all the weird stuff that happened in that movie. I guess my only point is she makes dining there an experience (again ... minus all that mad crazy stuff that Willy Wonka put those kids through LOL) She listened, joked, told stories, gave us great suggestions, and fantastically made a simple night out spectacular. She made everyone at our table feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. This is what makes dining out Great! The food ? .. Service was so good I don't remember. ps. I would be referring to the original movie and the only thing that could have made this experience better would have been for the Oompa Loompas to jump out with some Cat in the Hat type song! Doopity Doo! read more

The food was descent, but had to send the nachos back when they put items on them specifically asked to be left off. You could see the cook from the bar area and she didn't seem very pleased to change it. No one was ever rude but there are definitely better places around to get a bite to eat! read more

I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but this establishment is far better then most. Great food, fair prices and personable staff. I go here every week. read more

This is our go to chain. Always solid all around when it is busy or slow. Service, in fact, has always been fantastic. Nice job Leah on our last visit! We'll be back! read more

The lack of customers should have been a tip off that this was a place to avoid. Sadder even than other big name chains, with a sparse menu, the food here was bland, soggy, stale, and greasy. The service staff was nice, if not the best trained, but would frequently mess up orders and have to give customers things "on the house" to make up for it - as someone with a food allergy, that's a huge red flag for me. Entrees came out looking wilted, like they were day old leftovers. I counted a total of 9 fries on my husbands plate...very sparse portions for meals that average around $14 and are coming from a chain restaurant. Lots of grease and actually very little salt, leaving us feeling horrible and bloated. Spent $30 on two (gross) entrees and a beer, plus the free app. Would have been better off at literally any of the other places in Biddeford or Saco. read more

Service on the bar can be REALLY SLOW. Waited 15 minutes was getting ready to leave and someone came over. Lot of dirty areas, customers were gone and glasses and plates were still waiting to be cleared. By the time I got waited on there were only 8 customers at the bar. I'll skip the 99 tomorrow when I'm out. read more

I was there today for the Lobster Roll Special. We came from Portland. The roll was loaded with meat. The French fries were hot and crisp. The cole slaw was delicious. Our waiter Marc was friendly and efficient. We will definitely return. read more

Used to love it here for fast, easy, good food to go but lately it has been AWFUL. Slow service without crowds when I've dined in, food coming out at different times within my party, and staff that seems unable to use a gift card correctly. This weekend I went in to grab gold fever wings and fries to go - supposed to be served with blue cheese and celery (according to the menu) & I asked for honey mustard when I called - get home to find no honey mustard, no celery, no blue cheese, and food cold. I was there at the time they said it would be ready and my drive is only three minutes... disappointed to say the least. read more

Exactly what I expected for a quick cheap meal. The waitress was brain dead. She brought over the meal and asked if there is anything else. She never brought over our drinks. Then she got the drinks and forgot the straws and lemon for the iced tea. Came with the lemon and forgot the straws. Wow. We got the steak tips, which were surprisingly good, two salads, and a kiss chicken finger and fries. We ate it all. read more

Not to good, food not cooked to order, pop corn stale, waitress never came back to check how steak was

This place has awful service, we asked three times for mac and cheese, and have yet to be given it. One of the customers was extremely upset about this. And the service was very bias to a young group of individuals who were very nice, although they were the slightest disruptive, the waiters did not treat them as customers. Which I find un acceptable. read more
