Been back a couple times to meet friends that drink beer there. Had a couple bar appetizers that were ok. So I gave the restaurant another shot. Again. Great staff. Food not so great. But you get what you pay for. I got a turkey sandwich for $12. Similar quality to what you'd get from the grab and go at a gas station at 3:00 am. Wilted frozen lettuce. Frozen tomato slice. The lettuce and tomato were actually frozen to each other which kind of indicated this sandwich was premade and in a very cold fridge before popping it into the toaster oven. Warm crispy bread. Frozen components. In total had less than a quarter of one slice of bacon. I asked the waitress Mellissa if their sandwiches were premade as it was frozen through the middle. She said she watched the cook assemble it from separate ingredients. Seems unlikely. Cole slaw was standard. Anyway. Mellisa was a good server. Very attentive. She did her job well. Only beef I would have is that I went to the bathroom and came back and my food was gone replaced by the bill. Maybe my napkin was touching the plate when I went to the bathroom. But I only had one bite of coleslaw and still had some sandwich left. Total bill was only $13 or so. Left a $10 tip. That was my official fourth attempt at food here. Always good service. Nice atmosphere. But with the amount of restaurants in this area now I'd try somewhere else first. Pretty sure the dumpster at the sushi place next door has fresher food. I'd give that a shot next time. Oh. One more thing. Pepsi products only. I don't drink alcohol so my choices are limited. But Pepsi is kind of a deal killer. read more

I recently went to your Westfield Massachusetts location and experienced an awful dinner probably the worst I've ever had in my entire life. It was supposed to be my birthday dinner and instead I got a steak that was most likely double cooked because there's no other explanation for a steak to have no blood at all even if it's cooked well done there's going to be some sort of Blood on the plate. Also my father's steak was the same exact way when we both had ordered them not well done he wanted rare in I wanted medium rare, also we had requested a table close by because my father is handicapped but instead we were seated all the way in the back at a table with stairs leading up to it which is crazy when he has a cane and clearly can barely walk. We saw our waitress maybe once the whole time we were here because she knew we were unhappy cuz who wouldn't be with that type of food. Not sure what the final price was cuz I was very unhappy and would not have paid if it was my choice. I hope this is not a normal thing with you guys because I've heard other bad reviews also but never experienced such terrible service until this happened. Oh and also I forgot to mention the fact that the cook had headphones on and didn't seem to be paying attention to anybody else which probably is part of the issue considering the cook is supposed to communicate with everybody so the food comes out correctly. 3 stars because I can never make a decision because the service is always different. Sometimes I get take out and sometimes dine in. Both experiences are never consistent. Sometimes I order an 8oz. steak or Mac and steak will be raw, 6oz. and Mac would be raw. Sometimes the food is good to take out. Sometimes the food when dining in is amazing and sometimes it's sad. So far I say, the employees most of the times were nice and the environment is mellow. My favorite dishes are -Smothered steak tips -Sirloin -Country Fried Chicken (I like mixing the cran. sauce, coleslaw, mash, gravy with the chicken is awesome) -Balsamic Salmon (My wife's favorite) *if you get take out, specify the utensils. I am heard many mixed reviews about people's opinions of chain restaurants. I can certainly say that for this town, this restaurant does a fairly good job keeping its food fresh and its service prompt and friendly. There is a beet salad that they have on occasion, which is rivaled by no other beet salad I have had with the exception of fitzwilly's in Northampton. Super good. No matter what salad you get, their greens are always fresh and heavy delicious mix of different things in them. Their strawberry seasonal salad always has the right amount of dressing with fruits and cheeses. Every time I have come here, I have gotten a piece of salmon that was cooked perfectly and tasty, especially their basamic salmon. They have a veggie burger that they use in a couple of different meals that tastes really good as well, especially the Southwest veggie stacker. There are a couple of things I like about this restaurant, they have a really fun trivia night every Thursday, and it's now become a tradition to go with our team, the Velociraptors. Since three of our members are kids, it helps that they have a menu that the kids enjoy eating from. We do wish they would add or change a few things on the kids' menu from time to time, and sometimes their fries are a bit lukewarm or soggy. They also have a decent selection of beers, especially Iron Duke Dead Nuts, which is actually a very tasty IPA. I do wish they had a different dessert selection, or at least change up some of their dessert Shooters. Their dessert Shooters tend to be hard as rocks and not very tasty. Finally, just wanted to give a shout out for the staff at this particular 99. They have accommodated our group on many occasions when we showed up right on time for trivia night. They have a big selection of appetizers, entrée salads, soups, vegetarian and gluten-sensitive entrées, along with seafood, chicken, turkey, steaks, ribs, and seasonal specialties. I've been here a couple of times, and have tried an entrée-sized grilled chicken salad; a fabulous lobster roll with fries, Cole slaw, and a cup of clam chowder; and the Rhode Island-style fried calamari, which was drizzled with lemon garlic butter, and served with slices of sweet and hot peppers. Had takeout the other night, fast, delicious, and hot. Ordered and paid online making it very efficient and contact-less. Just one question, no sauce came with the turkey tips except the extra one I ordered and paid for. Had I been eating inside, there would have been sauce included. Is that a computer glitch or an oversight? The only place to add or select a sauce is the one with an extra charge. Keep up the good work. read more

I never seem to have a good experience here. This is my third time since they opened and this will be my final time. I went the other day and Samantha was our waitress. After the host seated us it seemed like we were not important. Drinks came out slow. The food was okay. When we went to pay the bill my girlfriend paid with cash. The waitress came back to tell us we didn't put enough cash to pay the bill. She put in $50 for our $40 bill but the waitress stated she only found a $10 bill. 2nd and last time at this location. First time there was an hour long wait with half the tables empty. Just not enough experienced staff to keep up but hey, the place has just recently opened and that first visit was on a weekend night so I kinda get it. However, our visit tonight was before 6pm and not many people there, yet the waitress was very slow and constantly apologizing for the wait between things. The food? Just not good. Now I don't expect a whole lot from a chain and we ordered a couple of things that probably shouldn't be ordered from a place like this but still... Nachos must've been microwaved or something because the center was COLD; cheese in the center wasn't even melted. They give you a teaspoon of sour cream and by the time the waitress came by and delivered the extra sour cream we requested, it was just too late (although she did apologize. Again.) Next, ordered steak with lobster mac n' cheese (I know, who orders steak from 99's?!) anyway, it was the most pathetic shriveled up little piece of "meat" imaginable and half of it was fat and gristle. Dude, if you're gonna give me a 4 oz steak, make sure it's at least 4 oz OF STEAK. I didn't take a picture of what came out on the plate, but it looked as much like the pic in the menu as I look like Brad Pitt. The lobster Mac n' cheese was a perfect pairing with the "steak". I can really see why they pair them together. The tiny little lobster chunks were dried up and burnt, scantily scattered amongst the burnt, greasy, bland Mac n' cheese. Yuk. My daughter got the kids chicken "tenders" with mozzarella sticks. On a positive note, the mozzarella sticks were good but the chicken was hardly "tender" looking as if they were cooked in a dirty oil deep fryer...but hey, there's something to be said for consistency because..you guessed it; burnt as well! Finally, dessert to wrap up our dining experience. Ordered the peanut butter brownie petite treat (should've held the 'petite' description for the crappy "steak" but I digress) The brownie was very dry; somewhere between a week old piece of cake left out on the counter and saw dust. There was no peanut butter to speak of, minimal chocolate sauce, and to top it off, the saw dust brownie was cold! It suffices to say that this place left a bad taste in my mouth. When I went to the 99 restaurant, I was looking for a decent meal with my family . I had a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and coleslaw , and it was pretty good. ​When we walked in, it was pretty dark but not so dark like you couldn't see. When I ordered my food, it was pretty fast to come out. The waiter did not have much attitude and seemed like she did not want to talk that much. When she gave us the food, the steak was juicy and cooked the way I wanted it. The mashed potatoes were good but had chunks in it, but the coleslaw was dry . The type of steak I had was the royal sirline, and it was juicy, and well cooked. My whole meal was around 20$. That was a pretty good meal for only $20, also you are served with popcorn before your meal! I liked the atmosphere of this place it was very relaxing and great to bring family or friends. There was TVs with sports games on. When there wasn't something my family wanted to watch on the TV, they came over and turned the sport event we wanted to watch. the menu they have is for everyone if you are on a diet you can get healthy foods, there are gluten free foods as well, this place is for everyone! As I said earlier it is dark but there are windows open that let in sun light. This was great food and there was fast service. I gave this a 4 star because the food and atmosphere was very good, but the waiter didn't have much attitude in anything she said. i would recommend this place to a friend because they have well cooked foods, and it's a very good price. I have been to this 99's plenty of times and have never had bad service. My family came into town for the week and we decided to come to 99's, mainly because where they are from there are none. For starters the hostess and bartender were amazing! The bartender really helped with our beer selection and suggested a great mixed drink that worked well with our taste. The food is great at this location, I had the fish tacos, which are so tasty, and the other people in my party got the lobster roll which is very fresh! Our waiter was really nice, my roast beef sammich was good and the two people I was with both of their meals were good as well one was a burger and the other was steak and lobster. My mother and I were hungry and she didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to eat out. We decided to eat at the 99 in Westfield. The food and service were good at the Westfield 99. It didn't get five stars because the fries were soggy and the soup could've been hotter. Everything else was perfect. The service was fantastic, we walked in and they greeted us right away and sat us down at our table. We got the menus and were looking over them when we met our server, Tabby. She was great. The food tasted amazing but again going back to the fries they could've been crunchier and the soup could've been hotter. It was still good, nonetheless. The place was clean and still some of the workers were cleaning. I found that really nice to make sure that the place was actually clean. The atmosphere was extremely friendly. There were also a lot of families with kids who looked happy. The restaurant serves mostly pub food like burgers, fries, salads, sandwiches, and other American foods. I give this place four out of five stars in total, four out of five stars for the food, five out of five stars for the service, and five out of five stars for the employees attitude. I know that I'm going to return again and I cannot wait for it. A little advice for the 99, the fries could've been crispier and the soup could've been hotter. read more

By far one of the best 99 Restaurant & Pub locations around. Ever since it opened, the atmosphere has been lively and fun. I noticed that the 99 that I used to go to in West Springfield has taken on the lighter colored paint and decor of this one. I visited last weekend and had a bacon burger with fries. They were very accomodating with my peanut and tree nut allergies. Also, the bubble green tea is quite good as well. Overall, the experience was fun and enjoyable! read more

My experience at The 99 Restaurant was inviting and enjoyable. I went there for the wonderful bar and grill, and pub food. I especially enjoyed the impeccable waiting time, service, costs, and the quality of the food itself was delightful. I enjoyed this restaurant and would most definitely come back here in the future.                A great part about The 99 Restaurant is the wait time and service there. There was no waiting time for a booth and we were seated immediately. The booths were comfortable, with a wooden backing.  The waiting time and service for our food was quick and fast. The food came out within twenty minutes. Our waitress was kind and always checked on us to see if we needed anything or to ask how our food is. The atmosphere was mainly dark, and as a result of this, it created a relaxing and moderate mood in the restaurant. There was a bar for adults, with many stools around the bar for you to get drinks and eat. The 99 is for sport lovers and they sponsor the Boston Red Sox, every time they win their game, kids eat free that day. Which is a convincing deal for families, yet It can be a family friendly place where you can bring your kids, yet it is also exceptional for rather an adult night eatery.            Another fantastic part about The 99 Restaurant is the cost and quality of the food. While waiting, we were served a small, white, square bowl which was filled with buttery and delightful popcorn. For my choice of meal, i had ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, and was worth its cost of of $9.99. This was apart of the 99's $9.99 real size entrees deal. Yet, the faultless portion of the meal was splendid. The meal included a sufficient amount of white penne pasta covered with warm sweet tomato basil sauce. As well as a tender, crispy piece of savory chicken parm. The chicken parm was coated in crunchy, toasted breadcrumbs, creating a thin bread coating around the chicken. Yet reaching towards the end of my meal, the bread coating of the chicken did get slightly soggy. It didn't bother me while savoring the meal. In addition, there was a crunchy, buttery piece of garlic bread on the side of the dish. The bread was slightly crunchy on the outside, but warm and fluffy on the inside.                Basically, my visit to The 99 Restaurant was impeccable and worth the cost. The prices, waiting time, service and food in general was spectacular and are the main reasons why i would go back there. I would recommend this restaurant to all bar and grill lovers, as well as people who favor pub food. As well if you're a sports lover or looking for a relaxing, calm place to eat out. read more

This was the worst service I ever received at any 99 restaurant. We ordered potato skins as an appetizer and there was long hair baked into the cheese. I told the waitress and she gave me a new side plate but left the remaining potato skins. I had to ask her to take them. After asking them to take them back explaining the hair was baked into the cheese. The waitress took them back and had a new one made and they did take it off the bill. I understand things happen but was surprised she just gave me a new side dish and expected me to eat the contaminated skins. It was not busy but two tables down were a group of the waitress's friends. My drink was never refilled. My sons boneless buffalo wings were dry. He asked for extra sauce and never got it. Also he ordered a coke and an iced tea was delivered to him. She never came back until it was time to drop the check. After a tiring day of non-stop chaos all I wanted to do was sit and have a delicious dinner. My grandmother let me and my sister decide where we wanted to go and we both said 99 restaurants. It was a 2 minute drive from my house to the restaurant so it was easy to get to. Parking was almost as easy as the drive over; there is a lot of parking even at rush hours. It was my third time going there since it was first opened. And like always it was clean, welcoming and we were seated right away. When you first walk in there is an open space where you can wait to get seated. There are windows all over the restaurant making it bright and welcoming. Since the restaurant is brand new the tables and chairs are in amazing shape. As I strolled by tables I saw how yummy everyone's food looked, which made me even hungrier than I already was. I ordered strawberry lemonade. It was very refreshing and not to sweet which danced on my taste buds. After the waitress brought our drinks we ordered I had been deciding on what to order since the moment I walked into the place. I saw a picture on the menu of chicken parmigiana it looked delicious so I had to get it. While we waited for our food to be served we were given a small bowl of popcorn while we waited and it was FREE! After eating the rest of the popcorn our food finally came out, but I can't complain because they brought it out pretty quick. When the waitress put the food on the table I grabbed my fork and started to eat. The chicken was crunchy with perfectly melted cheese on top and the pasta was cooked to perfection with rich marinara sauce poured all over. On the side was garlic breads that toasted just right my only complaint was they didn't put enough garlic sauce on the bread. But overall the meal was scrumptious! If you ever want to relax with your family and have something nice to eat I definitely recommend coming to this place. This restaurant also has a bar you can sit at if you please. Most of the bartenders are awesome at this establishment. I have had some great experiences, but I have also had an equal amount of bad experiences. One of the bartenders, Monica, lacks a formidable level of customer service. Several times I have waited more than five minutes for service. I can handle waiting if it's busy, but if it's not busy there really isn't an excuse for waiting that long. read more
